Metastasis Liver Cancer

anyone know how to cure this???

Metastasis maksudnya satu cancer tu telah hantar colony dia ke tempat lain; maksudnya cancer tu dah final stage ie Stage 4.
Liver Cancer biasanya Hepatoma dan prognosis dia adalah tidak begitu menggalakkan.

Soalan: adakah ini liver metastasis (ie cancer dari tempat lain yang telah hantar colony dia ke liver) atau adakah ini metatstic liver cancer (ie cancer tumbuh di liver tapi dah hantar colony ke tempat lain).

Saya jangka, status nya ialah cancer tempat lain tetapi telah merebak ke liver, correct?

Stomach cancer. found tumour in stomach, colon and a little in pancreas. had an operation to removed tumours on those few mths ago. skrg patient kekadang complain sakit perut bahagian abdomen... buat all test..found out active cancer cells scattered in the liver...biggest measuring 2.7cm by 1.5cm... sebelum ni she underwent herceptin IV regime tapi after 4cycles, herceptin doesnt work on her anymore.
what do you suggest?

My wife is a Consultant Oncologist at the moment so I will copy and paste this question above to her; I hope you do not mind. I am actually a doctor and therefore I will give you facts; it is pointless and unhelpful to just give unrealistic statements eg oh it will be ok, insyaAllah sembuh etc etc.
Gastric cancer has lower rates of survival in many cases. It it is stage 4 with local infiltration as well as having metastasized, I think the outcome is poor and should be palliative; I do not think that over here we treat with aggressive chemo if its at this stage. Expensive, poor outcome and unneccesary suffering for the patient. Lets hear what she says. She's asleep, i just finished tahajjud.

in my country.. it is 100% paid by govnt for all treatment...and yes..i see how chemo is hurting her. demam tiap hari tak hilang2

please seek advice from your wife... really appreciate it.

She texted me yesterday: '..Ok here we use Epirubicin/Oxaliplatin/Xeloda or 5FU for 1st line metastatic gastric cancer. My question is this patient's gastric cancer definitely Her2 positive? Herceptin was given so I assume it is. Epirubicin is cardiotoxic and so is Herceptin therefore need to do echo.  Can continue Herceptin with chemo but monitor ejection fraction. Here we do echo at least 3 monthly..'

Maaf my answer earlier was pessimistic sikit, but she agreed with me yesterday evening that this is an advanced cancer. She questions the use of Herceptin (a monoclonal antitumoric antibody) sebab dia kata kena HER2 psotitive baru bagi. So dia fikir to this monoclonal antibody ie Herceptin, boleh lah ditambah a proper chemo eg Oxaliplatin tu (tapi ini platinum-based chemo agent, so side effects nyer same lah dgn other platins eg cisplatin etc). Epirubicin ni macam danaurubicin jugak kot ie toxic to the heart.. os kena buat echocardiography tiap 3 bulan. There should be a panel of experts there yang boleh prescribe Epirubicin ni.. tapi biarlah experts di spital tu yang decide sebab they are the ones responsible for the patient.
