[Perf] KangTa - The Poem & A Whole New World (070716 JazzPark)
This was at the famous S.M. Entertainment pianist, Song KwangSik's concert, 'Jazz Park.'
KangTa sang 'The Poem' from Song's 2nd album "Dreams of Heaven" (2001) and also 'A Whole New World' of Disney's Aladdin with a lady I do not know the name of. Its the first time KangTa has ever done a duet.

[News] Kangta to Join the Army Next Year
Kangta, whose real name is An Chil-hyun, says that he may join the army in early 2008 in a Korean TV show, “Heart to Heart” on August 17. He will release a Korean album later this year. Kangta is now filming a drama in China. The drama also stars Chinese actress Eva Huang.
Korean guys have to serve their military duties after the age of 18. Many Korean pop stars have joined the army such as Won Bin, Song Seung Hun, Jang Hyuk, and So Ji Sub.

Kangta’s comeback performance on the 14th
March 10, 2008
Kangta’s new album “Eternity” in after 3 years is finally coming out on March 12. Fans from China, Japan, Thailand and the rest of Asia are highly anticipating this comeback since this is his last album before enlisting in the compulsory military training on April 1.
The title song of the 8-track album, 2 of which are instrumentals, is entitled “Eternity,” a typical pop ballad that Kangta wrote and composed and tells the story of past love suddenly coming back. The album also includes a duet song called “7989″ with Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon and “Still in My Heart,” which is included in the drama OST of “Dear My Love.”
To those who cannot wait until the 12th, the album is already available in various online music sites.
Kangta is scheduled to have his comeback performance on the 14th in KBS “Music Bank.”

Kangta: “TVXQ not given the credit…”

Kangta’s guesting in KBS Cool FM “Yoon Do Hyun’s Music Show” last March 26 was a fun and touching one.
The fun part was when the staff made an on-air call with TVXQ without Kangta initially knowing who was really on the phone. U-Know was actually on the phone but changed his voice and impersonated a hardcore Kangta fan.
“Who are you and where are you from?” asked Kangta.
“I’m Kim Won Joong from Incheon,” U-Know said, without Kangta noticing who he was really talking to. When U-Know eventually made himself known, Kangta was overjoyed.
It was also during this radio show’s episode that Kangta praised TVXQ’s abilities and expressed that TVXQ is better than H.O.T.
“TVXQ is not being given the credit they deserve because they’re seen as an idol group.”
When Yoon Do Hyun asked what kind of a senior Kangta is, TVXQ answered, “Like a father. It’s very reassuring that we’ve got a senior who’s like a father but it’s really sad that he’ll be going to the army.”
Before enlisting on April 1, Kangta is going to hold concerts on the 29th and 30th.

Kangta intends to train juniors
April 1, 2008
Last March 30, Kangta held a press conference at the Yonsei University Hall and expressed his intentions of training juniors after he is discharged from his military service. Kangta enlists today, April 1, at the 306 Replacement Center in Uijungbu, Gyeonggi-do.

Singer Kang Ta Begins Military Duty in Euijeongbu
2008-04-02
Singer Kang Ta (29) officially began his military duties on April 1 in Euijeongbu, Gyeonggi Province.
Kang Ta held a farewell concert for his fans at the Main Hall of Yonsei University late last month. The day he was stationed at his military base, Kang Ta, showing off a short crew cut, said goodbye to his fans and said he will diligently fulfill his military duties.
Korean fans as well as Japanese, Chinese and Thai fans flocked to the military base to say goodbye to their favorite singer. Fellow members of group S, Shin Hye-sung and Lee Ji-hoon, as well as singer Kim Min-jong, also a member of SM Entertainment, were on hand to wish good luck to their friend.
Kang Ta is the third member of H.O.T--after Moon Hee-joon and Jang Woo-hyuk--to begin his military duty.
