Cyberlink PowerDVD8 Error 1606 on Vista

salam semua.
patik ada download powerdvd 8 trial dari website cyberlink.
tapi nak install tak lepas la...

bila try install jer keluar error 1606.

dah try cari solution dari net tapi takder satu pun yang berjaya. ada yang suruh edit registry, ada yang suruh install software tweak... tapi semua tak lepas install jugak...

patik dah try install fresh vista kat HDD lagi satu,, takder masalah la pulak nak install powerdvd8 ni...

dah try run as admin
dah try disable UAC semua tapi tak berjaya jugak... sesapa ada solution...

takkan la nak kena format n install Fresh vista kat HDD ni kot.... malas la pulak...

kalau tak boleh juga, cuba check properties of the executable and check ada tak "unblock" button. kalau ada, click to unblock the executable.

also, check permission on that executable. even though you login as admin and have full rights, sometimes admin don't have full rights on that particular executable.

memang dah update. yang peliknya, kalau install kat windows vista yang baru format ok jer... guna dvd installer yang sama jugak tanpa ada apa2 update pun.

dah try... sebab ada 2 HDD...

kalau ada more than 1 partition, try copy that installer to another partition and launch from there. kalau tak boleh juga, clean registry, reboot and re-try.

dah try install dari another pastition, dah try create iso image n mount to virtual drive pun tak jalan gak.
dah download tweakVI n clean registry pun tak ok lagi....

dah try this one?

1. Run regedit.
2. go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders
3. In User Shell Folder find the Value Name "Recent" and rename it to say "RecentOld".
4. Next create a Expandable String Value.
5. The value name will be "Recent" and the value date will be "%USERPROFILE%\Recent".
6. When your done your entry should look like this:

Name: Recent
Type: REG_EXPAND_SZ
Data: %USERPROFILE%\Recent

Reboot your machine.

Cuba disable antivirus/security software ko... then cuba reinstall. Mungkin masa initial installation tu ada file yg dah di'block' and 'blacklisted'... so setiap kali nak install akan fail to install.
