Go to hospital.  Might need stronger antibiotics or whatever.  My sister's mother in-law died after stepping on something.  She was given some injections (probably tetanus jab at a clinic).

Still despite that she went on to develop tetanus.  It was horrid to see her suffering.

in any case

JUST BE EXTRA CAREFUL IF your father is a diabetic, this nail prick incident  can prove to be of serious consequences.

tetanus is not the most likely consequence...

the major worry is soft tissue infection selalu yang takut Staphylococcus aureus....swelling tu salah satu sign....could be cellulitis
kalau tak treat bahaya....byk consequence seperti septicaemia, osteomyelitis etc.

ayah awak ader demam tak?

skang tgh on antibiotik apa? he should be on flucloxacillin....

anyway, go to hospital get blood test full blood count, U+E, CRP, ESR, kalau demam blood culture, and septic screen (urine culture, wound swab culture)
