Two Russians jailed for spying
MOSCOW - TWO Russian citizens have received heavy jail sentences after being convicted of passing military secrets to a southeast Asian country, the FSB security service said Monday.
'The court sentenced Y. Alexeyev to 12 years imprisonment under strict regime and I. Starikova to nine years imprisonment under normal regime,' an FSB spokesman told AFP after the two were convicted by a Moscow court of treason.
The pair, whose first names were not given, were arrested on March 27, 2007, as they were 'caught in the act' of receiving documents containing classified information, said the spokesman, who declined to be named.
Alexeyev, born in 1953, and his wife Starikova, born in 1959, received cash payments totalling over US$300,000 (S$443,504) for transferring the documentation to the southeast Asian country, which the spokesman did not identify.
The RIA Novosti news agency quoted an FSB statement as saying that the pair admitted during the investigation they were 'acting under instructions from an employee of the special services of a southeast Asian country.'
The report said they had 'collected and transferred to him secret military-technical documentation,' but provided no further details on the nature of the information or to whom it had been given.
Russia has in recent years worked to strengthen its influence in the Asia-Pacific region as a whole and has in particular promoted its military equipment to potential client states in the region. -- AFP |

Cik Su-30 MKI is modifyed by Isreal and India. Sg tak payah pi sampai Rusia untuk mendapat rahsia tentang cik SU. Pekakas yang lain mungkin tapi di negara yang lain seperti French dan South Afrika. Kalo betul pun Sg, mungkin untuk mendapat matlumat tentang peluru berpandu Rusia. Tentang isu spy nih, Sg yang paling aktif di Asean.
Satu lagi, everything for sell in Rusia. Just need $$$$$. |

india modified dari engineering henjen...manakala french lak sistem radar cik SU. Tapi yelah...dah lama tak dengar citer2 pasal espionage nih in real life...tak macam kat tv..
Agak2 abang2 risik kita sejauh mana la depa bertugas yea skang? |
