So choosing a circle of friends or deciding how to handle relationships can be a very calculated decision, a way to protect themselves from unnecessary drama, or to ensure that their peace isnt compromised. Its all about balance, and sometimes that means being very careful with who gets close. The idea that this is often misinterpreted as a power tripis interesting. Many people might see someone being cautious about who they let into their inner circle as controlling, when in fact its simply a way to safeguard their own peace.
