Developer blocks access forcing pupils to walk 500m

The newly-opened SK Desa Minium in Seri Kembangan does not have an access road and pupils have to walk about 500m get to the school. The pupils go through SMK Desa Minium’s main entrance to reach their school. The road, which was supposed to serve as the access to the school was closed and marked as private property. Taman Puncak Jalil Residents Association president Zainuddin Zainal said about 1,000 students had to take the long way to school. He said the local council should have made sure the road was opened for the students. “Right now parents have to park their cars and walk through the secondary school to send their children. “The area near the school is already congested with cars parked by Taman Desaminium residents and this will worsen the situation,” he said. |
