a must win, bukan sunat2 dah, mmg wajib..oh the horror, rasa mcm balik zaman magath

STUTTGART: Bayern Munich coach Jurgen Klinsmann will need to take three points from visitors VfL Bochum today as the defending Bundesliga champions look for their first league win in three games.
Banners declaring 'Klinsmann out!' were seen around the Allianz Arena on Tuesday night and the Bayern coach was booed during his side's 1-1 draw with Lyon in the Champions League.
Recent events have not gone Klinsmann's way since his summer arrival in Munich. Bayern took a 5-2 hammering from league rivals Werder Bremen on September 20 and were humbled 1-0 by struggling Hanover last weekend in the Bundesliga.
A second-half header from Brazilian midfielder Ze Roberto gave them a Champions League point against Lyon in midweek, but with captain Mark van Bommel again left on the bench, all seems not to be well in Bayern's ranks.
Bochum have won just one game all season, but the pressure on Klinsmann will be immense should Bayern lose their third consecutive league match.
Bayern defender Daniel van Buyten is still struggling with a knee injury so Germany pair Tim Borowski or Lukas Podolski are set to feature in his place. But Bochum have serious injury worries with five players out.
Their coach Marcel Koller must do without central defender Anthar Yahia (suspended), captain Thomas Zdebel (ankle injury), plus a trio of knee injury victims Matthias Concha, Daniel Imhof and striker Vahid Hashemian.
"I hope we are not the no-hopers everyone seems to have us down as," said Koller whose side have lost heavily to Bayern in their last two games.
In-form Werder Bremen are at VfB Stuttgart today and looking to pick up their fourth straight league win to improve on their third place.
Thomas Schaaf's side held Inter Milan to a 1-1 draw in Italy on Wednesday in the Champions League and midfielder Mesut Oezil has impressed with three goals in two games.
Third-placed Bayer Leverkusen are up against Hertha Berlin with striker Patrick Helmes the league's joint top-scorer with seven goals in six league games.
Goalkeeper Rene Adler (flu) und Swiss midfielder Tranquillo Barnetta (heavy bruising) are expected to be fit for Bayer.
Today, bottom side Borussia Moenchengladbach are at home to mid-table Cologne, while mid-table Hoffenheim are home to second from bottom Eintracht Frankfurt.
League-leaders Hamburg play at strugglers Energie Cottbus on Sunday, while Schalke 04 take on VfL Wolfsburg and Borussia Dortmund host Hanover.  (AFP)

Hamburg defend Bundesliga lead as Bayern seek winning formThu, Oct 2 08:30 PM
Hamburg, Oct 2 (DPA) SV Hamburg travel to Energie Cottbus hoping to defend their lead at the top of the Bundesliga while champions Bayern Munich play catch-up at home to Bochum in weekend league action.
Bayern are in midtable after their worst start to a Bundesliga season in 31 years, winning just two of their opening six games.
After back-to-back defeats at home to Werder Bremen (5-2) and away to Hanover (1-0), coach Juergen Klinsmann badly needs a victory against visiting Bochum to silence the murmurings of disquiet.
A Champions League home draw Tuesday against French side Lyon went some way to rehabilitating the side.
Klinsmann was boosted by an improved display and the first start by French midfielder Franck Ribery this season following a long injury lay-off.
Captain Mark van Bommel was left out of the side, with Klinsmann choosing Argentina's Martin Demichelis in the defensive midfield role, but the coach's rotation policy means there could again be changes for Saturday.
'To compete in Europe and cope with the rhythm of the Cup, the Bundesliga and the Champions League, we need rotation - not in every position, but definitely in certain areas,' Klinsmann had said last week in explaining his changes.
Klinsmann has the backing of general manager Uli Hoeness, who said: 'You have to give the coach the right the pick the team he believes is the best.'
Although Bayern were held to a 1-1 draw by Lyon, the performance has gone some way to dispel feelings of gloom.
'The team played very well against a high-class opponent and there was no comparison at all with the match in Hanover. It gives me hopes that we can can also start producing different performances in the Bundesliga,' Hoeness said.
Bochum, struggling near the foot of the table, could be the ideal opponents for Bayern whose one and only defeat in 32 home matches against the team from the Ruhr region was 17 years ago.
The top of the table remains tight, with only three points separating the first seven sides.
Hamburg were unimpressive in beating Borussia Moenchengladbach 1-0 at home last week but coach Martin Jol will be pleased with a similar result in Cottbus Sunday.
Among the chasing pack, fourth-placed Schalke 04 take on Felix Magath's Wolfsburg, while fifth-placed Borussia Dortmund are at home to Hanover in Sunday's two other matches.
It could mean a new league leader for at least 24 hours after Saturday's games, in which second-placed Bayer Leverkusen - on 12 points, one behind Hamburg - entertain Hertha Berlin, third-placed Werder Bremen (11) travel to VfB Stuttgart (10), and promoted Hoffenheim (10) meet Eintracht Frankfurt.
Cologne meanwhile travel to neighbours Borussia Moenchengladbach, who are now at the foot of the table with reports that coach Jos Luhakay needs a win to stave of early dismissal.
After losing three games in a row, one of them in the German Cup against second-division Mainz, Cologne bounced back last weekend by beating Schalke 1-0.
The Bundesliga programme begins Friday evening when Arminia Bielefeld meet Karlsruhe, two teams in the lower reaches of the table.

klinsi klinsi..somehow coaching a ntnl team is a total eclipse of coaching a league club

I don't regret taking Bayern job, insists Klinsmann

MUNICH, Germany (AFP) - Bayern Munich coach Jurgen Klinsmann insists he has no regrets about becoming boss of the German giants despite the defending Bundesliga champions making their worst league start in 31 years.

The 44-year-old took over as Bayern coach on July 1 in his first domestic coaching role having led Germany to third at the last World Cup.
But Bayern have won only two of their six leagues games so far this season and their defence was brutally exposed as title rivals Werder Bremen destroyed them 5-2 at Munich's Allianz Arena last month.
"I take enormous pleasure doing this job," Klinsmann told the Suddeutsche Zeitung. "We have started an exciting phase of training which requires much investment from the players.
"The results are important, but the overall picture is even more important."
The former Monaco striker also says his work as Bayern coach is vastly different from his previous job as boss of the German national team.
"In a club, it is not-stop work. The influence on the players is much greater."
Klinsmann says his side can still defend their Bundesliga title despite their ninth place in the league and losing their last two league games.
"We must finally win points in order to reach the level which is normally ours," said Klinsmann ahead of Saturday's Bundesliga clash with VfL Bochum. "We need a victory so the mood around the squad is good."
