Super Junior, already captured Japan… Good placing on album sales chart
Group Super Junior is gaining a fervent reaction in Japan.
The “Super Junior Japan ‘Super Show 3’ Opening Commemorative Album” which was released on the 16th (of February) came in at 2nd place on Japan’s biggest music store Tower Records’ online sales charts. The limited edition which contains a DVD came in at 2nd (place) and the CD was in 10th (place).
Super Junior has not officially done any activities in Japan. People started knowing about their name just by word of mouth, and in recent years, they are gaining popularity which is enviable by any Hallyu stars. They drove the momentum and will hold their Asia Tour “Super Show 3” at the Yokohama Arena on the 18th & 19th (of February)*. About 25000** Japanese fans are expected to watch this performance.
Super Junior will open their concert at the Arena, which is a large-scale performance hall, from the first performance itself, and was able to demonstrate their ticket(-selling) power. Originally only 1 session (of the concert) was expected, but because of the fervent reaction received during the pre-sale period, an extra (concert) session was added. Actually in August last year, Super Junior’s subunit K.R.Y. made history by opening their own concert for the first time in Japan, and upon the fans’ request for an encore, more performances were added in Kobe on the 1st and 2nd of November and later on, 1st and 2nd December in Fukuoka. There were about a total of 22000 people who had watched the 6 sessions of the performances.
Super Junior’s Asia Tour “Super Show 3” began in Seoul last year, and was also held successfully in Qingdao and Beijing. Aside from Yokohama, a total of 16 sessions of the concerts were scheduled to be held in 13 cities across Asia, including Guangzhou, Taipei, Bangkok, Singapore, Manila, and more.
* Unsure whether the reporter who wrote this article was misinformed, but Super Junior actually held 3 concert sessions on the 18th, 19th and 20th of February at the Yokohama Arena.
** As Ryeowook had tweeted previously, there were actually a total of 36000 fans who had attended the concert.

Yesung Becomes The New DJ On Super Junior's Kiss The Radio
Yesung from idol group Super Junior will replace Eunhyuk as a radio DJ.
Yesung has been chosen as the new DJ on KBS Cool FM(89.1㎒) Super Junior’s Kiss The Radio and starting February 28, he will be hosting the program with Leeteuk.
Eunhyuk who has been hosting Super Junior’s Kiss The Radio will leave his DJ position to Yesung for awhile to focus on Super Junior-M's activity. Super Junior-M, Super Junior’s unit for China has started the promotion of their new mini-album.
On February 28, Leeteuk, Eunhyuk and Yesung will host Super Junior’s Kiss The Radio together. Eunhyuk will say his farewell and Yesung will have his initiation on that day which is expected to make the program more enjoyable for the listeners.
Yesung has an experience as a DJ when he hosted DMB radio program, Super Junior Yesung’s Miracle For You. Since this is his first time as a DJ of a national radio program, he aims to display different charms with Leeteuk.
Meanwhile, Super Junior will hold their third Asia tour, Super Show III in Manila, Philippines on February 26.

Super Junior’s Heechul asks fans to refrain from throwing presents
Through an interview with Star News on March 7th, Super Junior’s Heechul discussed his recent injury, which he received during the group’s concert in Shanghai. Heechul also gave a polite request to Super Junior’s beloved fans.
Heechul shared,
“During the middle of our ‘Super Show 3‘ concert in Shanghai, I headed towards the side of the stage in order to get closer to my fans. A fan threw a present, which ended up hitting the left side of my face. Although it wasn’t a big injury, it ripped the skin under my eye.
After arriving in Korea on the 6th, SM Entertainment was able to reach a hospital (despite it being a Sunday) and got me proper treatment.
I’m not worried about my injury so much as I am about this happening again to another member. I know that it’s all because our fans love us so much, but I hope they’ll realize that if accidents like this continue to occur, we cannot show everything we’ve prepared for them on stage.”
Heechul was unable to attend the ending stage for the concert that night, and because his injury couldn’t be covered by makeup, he wasn’t able to attend the recording for MBC’s “The Night of Shining Memories” on March 8th.
He concluded, “There are fans who throw presents at the other members, but I hope they will stop that. They have to stop in order for Super Junior to present the best performance possible, and for fans to enjoy that experience.”

Super Junior involved in another fan-related car accident in Shanghai
The Korean media is reporting on March 7th that the members of Super Junior were involved in a minor car accident, which resulted from fans chasing their van in Shanghai.
Star News spoke with a representative of the industry, who revealed, “On March 6th, Super Junior’s Heechul, Leeteuk, Shindong, Yesung, and others were in the car when they got into a rear-end collision in Shanghai.”
The accident was reported to have occurred while the boys were on their way to the airport after successfully completing their “Super Show 3” concert. Dozens of fans in cars began chasing after Super Junior’s van, which resulted in the collision. The Super Junior-M members were not involved in the accident, as they remained behind to continue their Chinese promotions.
Luckily, the members and fans were not injured. However, even though Super Junior was able to return to Korea safely, the accident remains as a shock to both the members and fans, since Super Junior suffered a similar accident in Singapore on January 29th.
