AUSTRALIA'S Olympic swimming team has crossed paths with one of the world's most famous sporting clubs on its pre-Games training camp in Kuala Lumpur. The swimmers are staying at the same hotel as the Chelsea Football Club, whose arrival has created major buzz.
Australian swimmers and English Premier League fans Andrew Lauterstein and Ashl Delaney were among the hundreds who gathered in the hotel lobby to catch a glimpse of the Chelsea stars as they arrived last night.
"I think everyone was really excited,'' Australian team media manager Ian Hanson said.
"Lauto and Ash Delaney were waiting patiently for the team to arrive, they mixed in with all the Chelsea supporters that were there last night.
"Unfortunately they didn't get to see them, but some of them did see the players lat er in the evening when they were walking around the place.
"There has certainly been a hive of activity.''
Chelsea is playing Malaysia in a friendly at KL's Shah Alam Stadium on Tuesday.
