Man Utd v FC Porto
Uefa Champions League, Quarter-final first leg
Venue: Old Trafford Date: Tuesday, 7 April Kick-off: 1945 GMT
Manchester United centre-half Rio Ferdinand and midfielder Anderson are set to miss Tuesday's quarter-final first-leg tie against Porto.
Both sat out training on Monday with injuries picked up on international duty, while striker Dimitar Berbatov is also sidelined with an ankle injury.
But Nemanja Vidic, Wayne Rooney and Paul Scholes all return having been suspended for the win over Aston Villa.
Ji-Sung Park is also available again while Federico Macheda is in the squad.
The 17-year-old Italian striker scored a crucial last-gasp winner on his United debut against Villa.
"He will be available on the bench I think," said manager Sir Alex Ferguson. "I don't think I will be able to leave him out!"
Ferguson will wait until the last moment to decide on the fitness of veteran pair Gary Neville and Ryan Giggs, both of whom played the full 90 minutes on Sunday.
But he already believes Macheda's winner has given United an adrenaline lift ahead of their second match in 48 hours.
"That winning goal has galvanized the club," Ferguson said. "I think for most of the game we were fragile defensively, but we still played our football.
"I don't think any of the injured players will be back against Porto, but we do have the suspended players back which is good.
"Vidic will play alongside Jonny Evans at the back with John O'Shea at right-back.
"Rooney and Scholes are also available which will give us a bit more penetration and experience, and Ji-Sung Park will also be ready so I've got some good options."
Porto striker Lisandro Lopez, the second highest scorer in this year's Champions League, is back after missing Saturday's 3-1 win at Guimar鉫s through suspension, but Ferguson is more wary of Brazilian forward Hulk.
"Physically they are very strong. They've got a good threat particularly from Hulk up front, he's a very good player," Ferguson said.
"At this stage it would be stupid for us to think it's going to be easy. We have to play full throttle."

Man Utd squad: Van der Sar, Foster, Kuszczak, O'Shea, Neville, Vidic, Evans, Ferdinand, Evra, Eckersley, Ronaldo, Nani, Fletcher, Gibson, Carrick, Scholes, Giggs, Park, Rooney, Tevez, Welbeck, Macheda.

Ferguson wants it fast and furious
Sir Alex Ferguson has urged Man United to go "full throttle" in their attempt to overcome FC Porto at Old Trafford.
Although the Portuguese outfit overcame United at the first knock-out stage in 2004, few are expecting a repeat, with Ferguson's men odds-on favourites to reach their third successive semi-final.
But the Red Devils chief is taking nothing for granted. And even though his side are back in action barely 48 hours after the thrilling 3-2 win over Aston Villa, he is demanding that they hold nothing back.
"It would be stupid to think this is going to be easy," said Ferguson.
"When teams are used to winning their domestic title, as Porto are in Portugal, you always feel they will play with great confidence.
"They have a lot of South Americans in their team as well, which gives them a great physical strength.
"By beating Atletico Madrid in the last round, Porto proved they will be hard to beat. Complacency does not come into it as far as we are concerned.
"We will be going at full throttle in order to get the result we want."
United will be bolstered by the return of Wayne Rooney, Nemanja Vidic and Paul Scholes from suspension, although not Rio Ferdinand, who is still troubled by a groin injury.
As well as that trio, Ferguson is likely to call on Park Ji-Sung, whose energy could be a useful weapon.
However, the majority of Ferguson's starting line-up will be asked to follow up from Sunday, ensuring there was only time for a massage and a few loosening exercises in training on Monday morning.
Cristiano Ronaldo is certain to be a key figure, although he once again was forced to state how happy he is at Old Trafford amid fresh reports of a potential summer move to Real Madrid.
"We always have this question," he grumbled, with Ferguson adding the continued speculation was "pathetic" before Ronaldo delivered his well-rehearsed response.
"I am happy at this club. I think it is the right club," said Ronaldo.
Ronaldo is more interested in continuing the major role he played against Villa, when his two-goal haul took his seasonal tally to 20.
United are now a point ahead of Liverpool at the top of the Premier League with a game in hand and the Portuguese confidently stated: "We are the best team in England.
"We have shown that by being top of the table. That speaks for itself.
"We respect all our opponents but if we carry on winning, we will win the title again."
Indeed, United are still on track to record an unprecedented quintuple, with Ronaldo not quite being as dismissive about the project as Ferguson.
"We have a chance to win everything this season," said Ronaldo.
"First we have to beat FC Porto. After that, we must carry on.

Put your shirt on it: Manchester United are set to trade AIG for Prudential as their shirt
sponsors from 2010
Manchester United close to new shirt sponsorship deal with Prudential.
Manchester United are close to tying up a new lucrative shirt sponsorship deal with international financial services company Prudential after their troubled current partner, AIG, announced it would not be renewing its current deal.
The company抯 new chief executive, Tidjane Thiam, is a long time Arsenal supporter but is seemingly willing to put partisan issues toone side in pursuit of an agreement with the Old Trafford club. Ivory Coast born Thiam takes over from Mike Tucker, himself known to be a big football fan, and, according to reports in the Daily Mail, the complicated negotiations with the Premier League and European champions is at an advanced stage.
A spokesman from Prudential confirmed that the company had been approached by United and it is understood that talks have been ongoing for some time with a final agreement imminent. The current deal with AIG, which expires at the end of the 2009-10 season, is worth around |

The father of Manchester United's newest hero is still in dreamland after his son's magical moment at the weekend.
Pasquale Macheda realised in a few seconds that years of sacrifice and hard work had been worth it after watching Federico score a last-gasp winner against Aston Villa.
It is not too long ago that Macheda Snr worked nights in a supermarket so that he could drive his son to Lazio's training centre, a world away from their home in the run downPonte Dinona area of Rome.
And after the 17-year-old announced his arrival in the Premier League in front of his dad at Old Trafford on Sunday, proud Pasquale said: 'The one thing I keep seeing in my mind is my son抯 eyes after he scored. When he ran towards me with tiger eyes.
'He had this incredible fiery look. Above all the noise I could hear him shouting "come down, come down".
'I raced down the steps and we hugged. His look was enough to say "see where we have got to, see where we have come, dad".
'I burst into tears. It was beyond belief, I could not believe I was going through such a moment. It left me numb. I have watched the goal again and again on DVD. It is unbelievable.'
He added in The Sun: 'In the past 18 months he抯 developed enormously, physically and technically at United. They have done a fantastic job.
'When United were 2-1 down to Villa I thought there would be no room for my son to come on. But then someone said "there he is!"
'I rubbed my eyes because he looked like he had been playing for years 梕ven alongside Cristiano Ronaldo he did not look like a rookie.
'When he scored I blanked out, I didn抰 see what happened. All these years I asked him "when are you going to dedicate a goal to me?"
'He said nothing on Sunday, he didn抰 have to. His look said it all.'
aku terharu...

The Martin O扤eill Press Conference (humour)
Sunday 05 April, Old Trafford, immediately after the match, Press Conference.
Reporter (R) :- Mr. O扤eill, this is your ninth successive league game not won, your reactions?
Martin O扤eill (MO) :- Well, there is a deep rooted conspiracy. Has anybody ever heard of 5 minutes injury time? I mean five long minutes? I am telling you, Sir Alex has this league programmed, every thing pre programmed to suit him. After all, Rafa was right, look at the CL draw!
R:- But the winning goal was scored three minutes in, so it wouldn抰 have mattered even if it was only three minutes.
MO:- No chance at all. Firstly, I had to change my strategy to counter the extraordinarily long added time. I asked Agbanlahor to run slow, I asked Reocoker to take longer for kicks on Ronaldo抯 legs etc. Secondly, quite frankly everybody , including Mike Riley knows that ManUnited plays their full game during injury time, and we complete our game by then.
R:- What do you think of the new striker?
MO:- Gabriel Agbanlahor has always been a fantastic scorer except when he is dropped from the team. He remains a precious asset to Villa whenever Emile Hesky is not available.
R:- No, No. the Manchester United striker?
MO:- Good, he didn抰 play. Actually he should have been banned for three games, the way he punched the corner flag.
R:- Mr. O扤eill we are asking about Federico Machedo who scored the winning goal.
MO:- That is part of the conspiracy I mentioned in the beginning. That boy, whatever his name, is from Rome. Can抰 he play for A S Roma? Roma doesn抰 have any strikers for a long time now.
R:- But he is a Manchester United player now.
MO:- Exactly, why is the Italian press so quiet? How can Sir Alex get away with not releasing him for Italy? If I don抰 release Heskey for England, you all will strip me. That boy shouldn抰 have played this game and the result of this match should be rescinded. I will take this up with Abramovic, he knows how it is done.
R:- And Ronaldo scored two goals.
MO:- We have kicked him whenever he got the ball and whenever he did not. Still, he scores ! But the Italian press should be more responsible. Thank you.
