Valencia sign new keeper

Brazil's Olympic goalkeeper Renan Brito has agreed terms with Valencia and will sign a four-year deal with the Spanish side as soon as he returns from Beijing.
Intermediary Aitor Montero negotiated with Porto Alegre’s side Internacional and reached an agreement regarding a permanent switch to El Mestalla.
Brazil will play for the bronze medal at the end of this week and then Renan will make the trip to Spain to put pen-to-paper with Los Ches.
The 23-year-old will compete with German shot-stopper Timo Hildebrand for the number one shirt next season.
“What we have to do is sort the last few details,” Montero told AS.
“The idea is that Renan directly comes to Valencia, but we are discussing this question with the CBF (Brazilian FA) who have to liberate the player.
“It’s just a question of time. He is glad and signing for Valencia is very important to him, besides this happens at a good moment, as he has been a starter in Brazil’s Olympic team.
“The player wants to makes the step to a big European club, something that every foreign player wants to achieve.”
