KUALA LUMPUR: Popular television host, actress and entrepreneur Noor Neelofa Mohd Noor’s one-time dream of playing “barista” in a popular coffee outlet has finally come true.
She has just become Malaysia’s first celebrity ambassador for Starbucks Coffee’s A Cup Of Kindness campaign, and the American-based international franchise’s second after award-winning singer-songwriter Lady Gaga.
The MeleTop co-host announced her newfound role on Instagram last Sunday, and thanked the popular restaurant for inviting her on board its charitable campaign.
“Hey everyone! You can be part of this special project to reach out to the less fortunate by visiting any Starbucks Coffee outlet this month and ordering my favourite drinks — the apricot and peach yoghurt frappuccino or the ruby grape frappuccino. 50 sen will be given to a charitable organisation,” said Neelofa in her post.
Yesterday, the 29-year-old artiste donned a Starbucks black-and-green uniform and served drinks to customers for a day at its Four Seasons outlet in Jalan Ampang.
Many customers also took the opportunity to take photos with her.
More than 900 Netizens responded to her Instagram posts which shared about her latest “appointment” with congratulatory wishes.
“Lovely barista, Lofa!” said Nadhirah.
“The hottest barista in town,” said Aurora.
“Stylish, humble and sweet. Well done Lofa!” said Nabila
