aku dulu hisap tapi dah 2 tahun berhenti.. tapi aku rasa cukup2 la tu.. kesian la pulak perokok2 ni.. semua smokers tau it's bad for health, buang duit bla bla.. tapi depa still nak hisap.. it's about choice.. cukup2 la naik harga tu.. actually kalau betul2 nak naik kan harga.. naikkan kaw2 punya.. jadi RM100 sekotak.. ni stakat naik 30 sen.. orang masih boleh selit2.. aku tak surprise langsung kalau smokers kurangkan budget makan to supplement the increase of ciggarate price.. tu ke goal gomen? suruh orang kurangkan budget lain to channel to ciggarette.. janganlah argue "sapa suruh".. that's not the target.. the target is supaya orang tak merokok.. bukan kurangkan budget utk benda lain supaya boleh channel pada rokok.  Kalau tak gitu, smokers akan switch to cheaper low quality cigs.. tu ke target dia? nak suruh smokers tukar hisap rokok murah.??

ala....naik 60 sen jer....apa la sangat....enam posen bagi 20 batang jadik 3 sen sebatang....kalau sebulan baru 2 sen sehari....roti canai pun 70 sen....tak jejas pun....
pendekata naik la sepuluh kali lagik....kalau naik tujuh lapan posen...tak jejas pun.... hehe....payah orang nak berenti.....kecuali haramkan jer rokok nih....macam diharamkan kat budak sekolah.....kat budak budak tua pun diharamkan....kalau isap juga....denda RM 1000....

lagi satu ....betul ker kerejaan nak suruh orang berenti merokok....income tu beb.....income....kalau betul nak suruh orang berenti merokok bukan ini caranya.....naik 60 sen ni semua nak cari income...bukan nak suruh berenti merokok.....

Bagus gak rega rokok naik...mudahan aku dpt berenti kali ni..dah yang ke100x,tak boleh boleh jugak.... .Orang kata klu nak berenti rokok pi berjemaah ngan tabligh,musti boleh punya sbb tiap2 masa ada program mendekati diri dgn ALLAH..nak try la kali ni..

Member aku pernah keja kat UK sbg posmen katanya rokok kat sana lagi mahal iaitu 10pound dan gaji dia hanya 40pound per week ...parah gak dan akhir2nya dia pun berenti...thah btul/tidak aku pun tak tau...

Sesuatu yang melucukan tentang iklan berhenti merokok (TAK NAK!) adalah peserta/pelakon dalam iklan tu kebanyakkannya budak-budak sekolah dan remaja-remaja skema. Kenapa penaja kempen tersebut tidak mencari perokok tegar yang susah nak tinggalkan ketagihan merokok untuk mengambil bahagian dalam kempen diorang?


Sama juga dengan kempen kesedaran untuk memerangi penagihan dadah. Asyik dok temubual orang yang tidak hisap dadah je, dok tanya pendapat..tetapi tidak tanya sendiri dan mengajak penagih-penagih kat celah lorong-lorong untuk mengambil bahagian dalam kempen berkenaan...

Macam mana nak berkesan kalau itu macam maa.....

hahahah..laki aku baru dapat sekarton rokok ..di datang kan khas dari langkawi...so..nak cakap pe..naik mcm mana pon rege..perokok2 nih still merokok gak..niat nak benti je akan kuat semangat diorg nih supaya benti...

I think that's a good suggestion. But the problem is I think it will make one smoke more cigarettes, to get the dose of tar/nicotine that they are used to.
But maybe it could still work, psychologically. Like if you currently smoke 10 a day, you may feel like it's simply too much to smoke 40 low tar/nicotine cigarettes a day, even though the total tar/nicotine is about the same.

sbbnya, kebanyakkan perokok yang isap rokok seludup nih.. tak lama. lepas seminggu diorang tukar balik beli rokok malaysia. tak tahan sbb tak best. plus, rokok yg rasa kertas nih boleh buat orang loya huhu.

Rokok bukan naik 60 sen sekotak besar tapi 80 sen la.
Naik la takat mana nak naik. Hajat kerajaan nak mengurangkan rakyat merokok hanya sia2 je. Perokok akan terus merokok selagi rokok boleh di dapati dengan mudah di mana mana kedai. Kalau betul2 kerajaan nak hentikan tabiat merokok di kalangan perokok dan yg baru nak cuba2 merokok bukan dengan cara naikkan harga...naiklah berapa hinggit pun... orang tetap akan beli. HARAMKAN LA ! kerjaan bersandiwara je lebey. sebenarnya yg lebih nak kaut duit rakyat melalui cukai tembakau.

these are "white" cigarettes...
Tar and nicotine come from tobacco leaves....the extraction of leaves (method/process) will determine the level of those 2 items...even level of H2O in tobacco leaves also influences tar & nicotine..

Assalamualaikum semuer,

Harga rokok naik setiap tahun......
Tapi masih ramai yg merokok.
Penambahan perokok baru pun bertambah.

Perokok memberi pelbagai alasan utk merokok.
Sekiranya harga rokok di naikan sehingga melebehi dari harga negara jiran, kemungkinan besar ROKOK SELUDUP akan terjadi.
Seperti mana rokok KERETEK yg di seledup ke negara ini sekian lama.

Jadi apa yg perlu di lakukan utk mengurangkan jumlah perokok???
Adakah perlu menambahkan lagi IKLAN?
Adakah perlu di lakukan ceramah ttg bahaya nya rokok di peringkat awal. (di sekolah rendah/menengah)??
Atau perlukan di tingkatkan PENGUATKUASAAN?? (cara Malaysia bley)
Tetapi Penguatkuasa pung adalah di kalangan perokok.

27 permises telah di wartakan sebagai kawasan larangan merokok. (mengikut PBB/WHO)
Tetapi ia hanya tinggal di atas kertas sahaja.

Perokok sebenar nya tidak memikirkan KESELAMATAN DIRI SENDIRI dan oghang yg mereka SAYANGI.

Minimum price for cigarettes

BUTTERWORTH: The government will set a minimum price for cigarettes soon, in a bid to stop the ongoing price war among tobacco companies.

Health Ministry parliamentary secretary Datuk Lee Kah Choon said the government decided to step in to stop tobacco companies from selling cigarettes at low prices.

He said some companies were selling cigarettes for as low as RM3 a packet, although the minimum tax on cigarettes is RM3.60 per pack. This is frustrating government efforts to discourage people from smoking.

"We will soon enforce the minimum price law and make sure that the tobacco companies stick to it," he said. He said the minimum price will be announced soon, after a committee has studied the cigarette market and the price war.

He was attending the state-level "Jom Tak Nak Merokok" programme at the Mak Mandin Health Clinic here yesterday.

Lee said the government was determined to continue its fight against smoking.  He added that claims that tobacco growers would lose their jobs are "exaggerated", and they could always grow other crops.

gosh - that campaign already reached up more than 3 years and one
thing for sure - the public still didnt stop smoking  - perhaps a few did
but overall - admit it this campaign is not successful as they hope to be -

i am applauded that govt still wanna continue and determined to fight
against smoking and i reckon gov't just hafta SET the price of the cigarettes
so that the tobacco companies won't take the short cut to get all the profit
by selling 'em the cheap price --

perhaps that would be one of the ways to ensure that people will think twice
about burning their money - pun intended - to buy a pack of ciggy --

i hope this will be set soonest -- after months and months they just keep
talking about it  but as usual  nato! -
