Liverpool set to sign Jordan Henderson from Sunderland in £20 million deal
The Anfield side last night agreed terms with their Premier League rivals to make the 20-year-old midfielder Kenny Dalglish’s first signing since he was confirmed as Liverpool’s permanent manager, subject to a medical to be held today. The deal will see Liverpool pay £13 million and the £7 million-rated striker David N’Gog move to the Stadium of Light in part exchange.

Liverpool to Make Mata Marquee Signing
Liverpool are prepared to meet Valencia’s £20m valuation of Juan Mata and make the Spaniard their marquee summer signing, our sources understand.
Kenny Dalglish & co. are currently working hard to wrap up deals for players within the Premier League this month, but as soon as the rest of Europe opens for business the Reds will be ready to pounce having already laid the foundations for Mata’s move to Merseyside.
Liverpool have made their interest in the player known, and the powers that be at Anfield have since sanctioned a move for the Spaniard. And, most significantly of all, Valencia have expressed a willingness to sell should a bid in the region of £20m be made.
Further good news comes directly from the man himself who is reportedly interested in a move to Liverpool after buying into the club’s long-term project. However, without the lure of European football the Reds could come across a stumbling block should a club competing in continental competition decide to muscle in on the deal. |
