this is  my thread  about  7 years ago ..so it is purely logical i did not recall anything much so u know ........tapi i am sure even without the term tu you could ask your doctor some common sense question yg you tanya we all ni....so the thing is - tak faham term tu tanya your doc  or tak perlu term actually just asked  sensible question kat doctor you yg  i think  it is valid....

logically a person should know a - the name of the drug b) mechanism of action  which the doctor should explained ion  a lay man's term c) known side effects  etc etc issues .... so u know ...barulah consultation u berjaya...one just have to think ...

i guess  what you could do  is  gi medic library  as guest then sit down ambik buku derm i dunno ....approach pustakawan ...one of the way actually to be an active learner ..why not? kan?

i just started on accutane today. my acne dah teruk, but dkt jawline, bawah dagu and area bawah pipi. below nose line. tak tahu sebab apa, but i really got stressed up and went to see doctor, dermatologist and he gave me roaccutane 10mg once a day. and antibiotic for bacteria and night cream.
skin specialist tu mcm tak nak explain byk altho' i asked so many questions. *sigh* he just said that my skin akan jadi kering. just wondering, betul ke if makan roaccutane acne akan jadi lagi teruk? for the first few weeks? i read somewhere in the internet. ada sesiapa ada this kind effect? thanks

I restarted taking roaccutane (Roche) 10mg/day after stopping it 5 months ago, (doxycycline didn't help) it relapsed rasanya la, so far, my skin gets better, not the other way around. Tengok org jugak kot

doxycycline tu apa? is it antibiotic yg macam bentuk panadol 650mg?
if ambil roaccutane tu berapa lama nampak the effect? in 1 week time ada nampak kurang tak?

Doxycycline is an antibiotic, I got doxy bentuk pill warna pink bulat. Sekarang ni dah amik Roaccutane for almost one week, jerawat ada yang dah kering, ada yang naik balik. Doc said it's normal, takkan la dalam masa sekejap je nak tengok effect kan

buat masa ni dah 3 weeks aku amik doxycycline.
so far so good.tak lah nampak terus baik.maybe kena 1 bulan lagi baru clear.
pencuci aku pakai cetaphil gentle cleanser je.
malas nak pakai byk2 toner ke,ape ke.takut lagi teruk.

okay doxy tu dia colour pink? oh ok. saya punya roaccutane colour pink bulat juga. Now im taking that one dengan antibiotic yg mcm panadol bentuk dia. tak tahu apa nama ubat tu..for bacteria.

so far baru 2-3 hari makan roaccutane ni nampak mcm acne tu still ada, but slightly dry. kena sabar la kan...! can't wait for it to clear semua. but the thing is, my muka masih lagi minyak. doctor kata jadi kering, tapi mcm minyak je. hmm..

saya pernah mkn roaccutane setelah mendapat nasihat drpd doktor.sebelum saya start mkn pil tu saya just mkn antibiotik for pimples je...byk gak la duit berhabis kat situ je...mmg pd mulanya jerawat hilang...tp bile dah lame stop jerawat naik balik...dan sampai pd 1 tahap muka saya naik jerawat yg begitu teruk sekali...dgn nanah ngan besar2 jerawatnya...allah saja yg tahu perasaan saya masa tu...mmg rs amat rendah diri...org selau tegur...mase tgh study mmg sgt depressed sgt...bile kt hostel mesti tempek bedak sejuk tebal2 takmo bg org tgk muka yg teruk...1 hari tu saya pergi la klinik yg saya biasa amik antibiotik utk jerawat ni...mmg dah lama saya tak mkn antibiotik...doktor tu sgt terkejut tgk muka saya yg teruk mase tu...jd dia rekomenkan saya rujuk pd pakar kulit...dia ckp tahap jerawat saya tu mmg kene mkn roaccutane je baru boleh pulih...tp ubat ni mahal sgt n terkawal...hanya ada pd klinik tertentu...jd saya direfer pd pakar kulit di hospital ipoh...saya pilih gov hospital sbb tak mampu la nk tanggung kos kt private...lgpon saye ble dpt free sbb tgh study...alhalamdulillah setelah consume ubat tu jerawat saya pulih...syukur ke hadrat ilahi...tp mmg ambil mase lame jugak...saya tak pasti dalam 6 bulan ke setahun saya mkn...sbb dah lame sgt...mase tu tahun 2003...sekarang kalo tumbuh jerawat pon ms period je...tu pun naik seketul dua...alhamdulillah...tp masa permulaan mmg ade side effect la...kulit saya kering,mengelupas...tp bile dh lama jd normal...

4 mths acne clear. suka sgt. sbb less oily.
tapi stop tak sampai sbeulan  naik balik.

a) hal anda untuk tahu osage, kesan sampingan ubat yg anda ambil - yesssssssssssssss kulit you mmg akan kering sebab TARGET dia KELENJAR SEBUM SO GUNALA moisturiser , please, saya punya case bibir saya mengelupas

tapi sebab saya tahu apa an kenapa saya ambil so saya tak ambil pusing sangat..really...

a) anda dalam golongan umur yg  boleh hamil dan berkahwin , i think so  dia takut you  terhamil an ubat tu amat bhy dalam tempoih masa empat bulan pertama kandungan  so

b) yesssss doxycycline ialah antibiotic - antibiotic tugasnya membunuh bacteria corrrettttttttttt.....

saya tak tahan makan doxycycline sebab saya selalu skip breakfast and saya selalu throw up pepagi sebba ambil oxycycline tanpa breakfast.

memang effective ...kan? well...mmglah kalau ada pun tak seteruk yang dedulu...
itupun saya ambil roaccutane sebab regime first line treatment - benzamycin dan antibiotics tak jalan..

okay hanism roaccutane tu BUAT UNTUK kulit you - target ia kelenjar sebum so it is pretty logical kalau kulit you kering , teruk? well depends kulit kering  dan bibir mengelupas  well its is okay pada saya sebab
a) saya tahu apa itu roaccuatne
b) saya tahu mechanism  dia kerja
c) saya tahu apa kena jejaga
d) saya tahu apa saya kena buat
e) saya guna common sense - like kalau kulit kering - saya pakai moisturiser , kalau bibir  peeling off sauya pakai  gloss?

apa yg Saudara perlu tahu ttg amalan perubatan yg sihat di Malaysia ialah
a) tugas doktor sahaja memberi preskripsi
b) tugas PHARMACIST  DISPENSING checking dosage ubat
C) Untuk PENGETAHUAN ARIP,  ubat over the counter tu sahaja yg boleh beli kat pharmacy

AMALAN membeli ubat tanpa preskripsi doktor kat MALAYSIA adalah SALAHHHHHHHHHHHHH

so  apatah lagi UBAT SEPERTI ROACCUATNE yg , okay macam ni ARIP....ada ubat Yg hanya DILESENKAN oleh DOKTOR PAKAR sahaja yakni bermaksud - yg hanya doktor PAKAR SAHAJAAAAAAAAA yg boleh tulis p[reskripsi yaa? BUKAN PHARMACIST

tapi rakyat malaysia dgn jahil sejahil  jahilnya ( epa tak jahil tentang gossip artis tapi jahil benar yg MUST KNOW  - ni org kita laaa kan  suka sangat ambil tahu benda yg tak important) so apa apa ubat semua pi JUMPA PHARMACIST dulu

lagipun ubat ni amat mahal.
so,skrg ni bergantung pada doxycycline je.
dah pakai 3 weeks nampak ok sket.
cuma takut bila stop nanti dia akan resistance balik.

Now dah 4/5 days I'm taking roaccutane. alhamdullilah i can see the improvement, acne semua mcm dah kering, which is good. slowly la kan. kena sabar! Right now, saya ambil 10mg per day. later after one month, need to see the doctor again, to check lagi, sama ada saya kena ambil roaccutane lagi atau tidak.

just wondering, roaccutane ni boleh ambil with other supplement? like vitamin C?

well clear ni   you need to define a bit  - yes at that time  my stopping the medication selepas 4 bulan alhamdulillah

kalau sekarang ni just monor breakouts sahaja like 2-6 days before  menses.

okay macam nilah p kena tahu  or baca apa itu roaccutane , kesan sampingan dia,  dia ni bila ambil kan kita kena buat blood test , kan? i hope you know this ...sebab ubat ni increase / tingkatkan kadar metabolisme hati, or makes your liver work  harder...so enzim tertentu dalam hato ni lah yg doktor dok monitor sebab tu UBAT NI  TAK ADA KAT KAUNTER...so read more about this

okay  lagi satu yer vitamin C ni pun metabolisme dia kat hati, saya bukan apa takut your liver has to many things to handle

yang plaing bagus ambik supplement dalam bentuk "natural" liek dalam buah, juice ( JANGAN  JUICE CARROT) makan mentah you know unless kita ada penyakit tertentu, lifestyle kita yg tak mengizinkan kita makan diet seimbang....
mana dietitian pun akan suruh ada balance diet dan supplement tu just ambik kalau kita busy 24/7 jer  dan akalau ada penyakit yg menghalang serapan zat , nutien, apa aplah tertentu jer

so i hairan napa lah kita obsess sangat dgn supplement  nak tergelak lagi ada .....


so u see...ask your dermatologist ya on taking vitamin C ( apasal u nak ambil vitamin C ?? u think it is for skin ni , ker ....well  kurang tepat  dalam konteks ni sebab i am concern yg your liver - the most important  ( well one of the most important  organs) tu akan terpaksa bekerja keras ( this means bad) ...

so baik tak  yah over do things ya?

makan yg natural , food in natural form sebab senang absorb ..actually banyak ni yg sebenarnya
