hmmm...
it's been quite a while since the last time i visited this room...
went to japan a couple of weeks back and visited a few art museums among other things while there...
Ueno park tokyo is described as 5th avenue of Japan...(5th avenue refers to NY street where there are rows of world class art museums...fricks, guggenheim, MET etc...
at ueno park they have among others tokyo national museum and museum of western art...museum of western art have some very good collection of yes,...western arts ...the collection is based on a collection of one japanese collector who was once a minister and lived in paris or somewhere...he had great taste and must have loads of money to collect all these...here are some pics...(one of the few art museums that allows you to take pictures as long as you dont use flash...
