The Frenchman, who had come off worst in a clash of heads during the game, was diagnosed with concussion.
John O扴hea will step in against Villarreal tomorrow if Evra is sidelined as United defend their Euro crown.

MANCHESTER: Alex Ferguson bertekad bahawa Manchester United akan jadi kelab pertama mempertahankan gelaran Liga Juara-juara Eropah dengan detik terbaik menurunkan kembali Cristiano Ronaldo selepas pembedahan pergelangan kaki apabila saingan peringkat kumpulan bermula, hari ini.
Tumpuan juga harus terarah kepada finalis tahun lalu, Chelsea dan juara 2005, Liverpool yang akan turun ke gelanggang hari ini (awal pagi Rabu waktu Malaysia) untuk meneruskan dominasi England di pentas elit itu.
Besar kemungkinan pemain sayap Portugal itu, yang menyumbat 42 gol musim lalu, akan membuat kemunculan kembali selepas pembedahan Julai lalu apabila menentang Villareal nanti (awal pagi Khamis waktu Malaysia, menurut Ferguson.
Ia akan membantu United menghapuskan igauan kekalahan pertama Liga Perdana Inggeris kepada Liverpool dalam tempoh tujuh tahun, Sabtu lalu.
"Anda perlu segera bangkit, itulah adat permainan ini. Ini adalah Liga Juara-juara dan saya rasa kami dalam kumpulan baik dan saya rasa kami punya peluang baik untuk meneruskan kemaraan," kata Ferguson.
Penyerang Giuseppe Rossi sudah terlepas aksi pembukaan liga buat Villareal akibat terseliuh pergelangan kaki kirinya dan tampak mungkin tidak mampu diturunkan untuk perlawanan di Old Trafford.
Kumpulan E juga turut dianggotai Celtic dari Scotland dan kelab Denmark, Aalborg.
"Cara saya melihat saingan Liga Juara-juara ialah kami perlu meraih 10 mata. Jika memperolehnya, saya tahu kami akan layak dan mampu menanti Februari ketika saingan sengit sebenar akan bermula," katanya.
Dua puluh empat jam sebelumnya, Chelsea – yang dinafikan gelaran oleh United menerusi penentuan sepakan penalti, Mei lalu – akan menanti Bordeaux. AS Roma juga dalam kumpulan A itu selain juara Romania, CFR Clujnapoca.
Kejayaan mengungguli Liga Juara-juara Eropah adalah keutamaan teratas pemilik Chelsea, Roman Abramovich dengan naib juara jelas terbukti tidak cukup untuk menyelamatkan kedudukan bekas pengurus, Avram Grant.
