Tavano Lashes Out At Valencia
Frustrated Valencia striker Francesco Tavano has bitterly criticised his new club for the way they have treated him since his summer move from Empoli.
The Italian hitman arrived from Serie A for £7 million but has barely figured under coach Quique Flores.
"To me, it seems everything I have done in my career up to now has been a waste," a furious Tavano told Corriere dello Sport. "It seems that I have not ever done anything in my life. Here they do not consider me: now I am injured, but this hasn't changed anything.
"Also when I was well, I trained to the maximum and yet I was never selected. (Sports director Amadeo) Carboni says to be calm, but it is not easy, also because it is not he who selects the team.
"Now I have asked my agent to come here so we can talk, because I cannot go on like this."
