Uday Chopra tied the knot with Tanisha?

If rumours to be believed, Yash Chopra's younger son actor Uday Chopra married co-star Tanisha Mukherji, who happens to be actress Kajol's sister.

As per rumours, the marriage took place recently without anybody's knowing, keeping media in dark. Just family members and few close friends attended the marriage party.

Uday and Tanisha dating each other, the rumour started doing rounds during the shooting of 'Neal 'N' Nikki'. Uday and Tanisha had played the title roles in the film.

However on asked Uday Chopra denied the rumour upright, also Ajay Devgan, Tanisha's brother-in-law said it baseless.

Dia Mirza kissed again!

Dia Mirza shot yet another kiss scene. The pretty gal first gave a kiss shot in the film 'Tumsa Nahi Dekha'. Kiss-king Emraan Hashmi was her smooch-partner. This time she did it for her forthcoming film 'Alag' with Akshay Kapoor.

Ace photographer Subi Samuel has produced the film, and Ashu Trikha has directed. 'Alag' is an out-and-out emotional film, and have some sensational intimate scenes featuring Dia and Akshay Kapoor.

As per source, Dia was much comfortable doing the kiss scene with Akshay. However it's Akshay who made her easy. A person present there on the sets said Akshay while doing the smooch scene played a prank on Dia, which made the sexy gal laughing all through. Akshay however had earlier informed director Ashu about his plan. And as per plan, when director asked for a retake, the quiet and serious Akshay, who had chewed plenty of garlic earlier, blew his foul breath on Dia and the pretty silent film sets cracked with laughter in moment.

Madhuri Dixit in Bobby Bedi抯 film?

'Mangal Pandey' producer Bobby Bedi is all to cast Madhuri Dixit in his next. As per reports, Bobby has agreed to shoot the whole film in USA, where the Bollywood's all-time sensation presently resides.

Madhuri, during her last visit to India, said she wants to comeback in Hindi movie, but the whole film to be shot in USA.

Recently there was a rumour that National Award winning Bengali director Gautam Ghosh contemplating a film featuring Madhuri Dixit in leads.

As per industry circles, Ghosh's project is at an initial stage now. On the other hand Bobby Bedi has already talked to Madhur and if reports to be believed Madhuri has given her initial nod also.

As per source, the film will be based on the celebrated painter Raja Ravi Verma and his muse Sugunabai. Shaji Karun will direct the movie. Madhur will play Sugunabai.
So Bobby Bedi at present is much ahead of others in the race of those want to bring back Madhuri in Hindi film.

Kareena is mute and loving it!

Spirited and sassy Kareena Kapoor, who is known to play fiery characters in many of her films, enjoyed playing a simple, mute girl in her forthcoming film "Chup Chup Ke".

"It was a challenge to play this role because I had to emote purely through the sign language and expressions and, secondly, I didn't have to go for dubbing for the first time in my career," she chuckled mischievously.

She is currently having a ball at the Rock stars concert abroad. However, she is looking forward to coming back home in time for the release of "Chup Chup Ke" and to celebrate the success of "36 China Town" where she featured with her boyfriend Shahid Kapur.

Hrithik Roshan who came forth supporting Aamir Khan on the Narmada evacuees issue, is extremely upset with the eveninger Mid-Day.

The actor claims the paper's reporter has quoted him out of context, implicating him in a political debate. He said he had never quoted any political party.

"Those opposing him have failed to understand Aamir's point of view.", the actor said and added, "You know what's ridiculous? So many haven't understood what Aamir is trying to say. He's not against the dam, he is concerned about the rehabilitation of the people who'd thereby be homeless."

Hrithik said he decided to speak up now, as earlier he was busy with an action sequence for Dhoom 2. He also assumed "the matter would end in Aamir's favour as the absurdity of it all was so obvious."

"I haven't yet spoken to Aamir on this. I don't feel Aamir is becoming a victim to politics. One is a victim only when one succumbs. I am sure Aamir will fight it till the end" quotes Hrithik.  

Fardeen Khan in cocaine case

A city court Monday rejected the plea of Bollywood actor Fardeen Khan to amend the charge sheet filed against him in a cocaine seizure case.

The actor had moved the court claiming he was about to purchase one gram of cocaine from a drug-peddler when the Narcotics Control Bureau arrested him in May 2001.

According to the police charge sheet, nine grams of the contraband was seized from the actor when they had arrested him along with the peddler Nasir Abdul Karim Khan.

Fardeen's lawyer Aiyaz Khan had demanded that the prosecution may specify the amount of cocaine for which Fardeen will be tried, as the charge sheet is also silent on this aspect.

Nasir, in a statement, has backed Fardeen's claim by saying that he planned to sell only one gram of the contraband to the actor and remaining eight grams were meant for some other buyer.

The possession of one gram of cocaine attracts six months' jail term while possession of two grams or more of the narcotic specifies ten years rigorous imprisonment under provisions of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act.  

Akshay, Urmila, Dino, Manisha to perform at Bollywood Awards

Akshay Kumar, Urmila Matondkar, Dino Morea and Manisha Koirala will head the list of artistes to perform at the 'Bollywood Awards' nite being held in Port of Spain, Trinidad, West Indies on June 10, 2006.

It can be noted here that it has been misreported in a section of the media that Shah Rukh Khan would be part of this event. SRK had performed in the West Indies seven years ago, and is not a part of the Awards nite this year.

The 'Bollywood Awards' which would be held at the Center of Excellence Auditorium in Port of Spain, are expected to draw a crowd of 6,000 at the venue. Awards in various categories will be presented by the who's who of West Indies.

It can also be mentioned here that Karisma Kapoor, who was going to be part of the performances at the event earlier, had to opt out due to ill health (jaundice), while Manisha Koirala has replaced her to perform an ethnic song sequence specially incorporated to further glamorize the evening.

Presented by Tony Maharaj and organized by AIM India (partnered by Chunky Panday and Abhijit Chowdhary), the 'Bollywood Awards' nite will also see veteran actors Rajesh Khanna and Zeenat Aman being honoured for their outstanding contribution to Indian cinema.

Abhishek Bachchan goes clean

Where has Abhishek Bachchan been?

Since December's Bluffmaster, Abhi's vanished from theatres and parties, and while we're waiting with bated breath for his next release, Karan Johar's massive Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna (coming in August), we could sure do with a little more AB, baby.

So, on Saturday night, the suave Bachchan smiled for the flashbulbs at a Mumbai hotel as telephony giant Motorola crowned him brand ambassador.

The trademark stubble appears to have vanished. Maybe Abhi has found himself a RAZR?

Shahrukh Khan, Priyanka Chopra and Karan Johar may not attend IIFA awards  

After Ram gopal Varma shelved his film with Shahrukh and went ahead with his other two dream projects with Amitabh Bachchan as the lead, Shahrukh no doubt is upset about the entire situation. However rumours that are doing the rounds of bollywood claim that in an attempt to get back at Big B, Shahrukh will not be attending the prestigious IIFA awards in Dubai this June. Bachchan senior is the global ambassador for IIFA. It is also being said that a few of Shahrukh Khan抯 close friends like Karan Johar, Priyanka Chopra and Farah Khan too will not attend IIFA.

The organizers of the show have sent the King Khan of bollywood an invitation to the prestigious IIFA event. Unfortunately Shahrukh politely declined the invitation stating that he had other prior commitments. He is currently shooting for Farhan Akhtar抯 Don, but the shoot will wrap up next week. After that Shahrukh is going off on vacation with wife Gauri and his kids to London. But insiders claim this is a deliberate attempt by Shahrukh to openly display his displeasure at Amitabh. There have always been rumours that Shahrukh and Amitabh have never really gotten along. But a source claims that Shahrukh has utmost respect towards Amitabh and he gels well with Abhishek too, but unfortunately recently there have been some professional hassles amongst the two big stars of bollywood.

Farah Khan, choreographer, filmmaker and close friend of Shahrukh claims 揑 am not attending the award function because I will be busy with Sajidbhai抯 film Jaaneman, which is also being directed by my husband Shirish Kunder.

The silent H: "The legacy of the silent H continues with Hrehaan's christening. I just cannot explain how it feels to have him in my life. He has simply changed my world. We may have different views but the big picture has always been the same. He is my biggest support and source of strength,"says Hrithik.

No controversy here: Hrithik is at pains to point out that he is backing Aamir because of his beliefs. "I am not against any person or political party, instead I am only asking for protection of the democratic rights of every citizen of India. It is our responsibility to respect each other's fundamental rights. It is with this feeling and conviction that I stand by Aamir."

Compete with the best: With actors like Abhishek making it big, does his long absence from the big screen make him insecure?

"I love the fact that I face healthy competition from actors like Abhishek Bachchan because it forces me to do well. I believe in doing my best - to fit into different roles and bring out the human side of every character,"he says.

I'm a foodie: When Hrithik's not working, he is thinking about food. "I am a big foodie. I love all cuisine, as long as it is cooked to perfection. While I am a no-hoper as far as cooking is concerned - I can't even cook noodles - the two beautiful women in my house make sure that I get the food of my choice,"he adds.

After romancing top actors Salman Khan, Hrithik Roshan and Shah Rukh Khan, Priyanka Chopra now teams up with Akshaye Khanna in "Aap Ki Khatir".

To be directed by Dharmesh Darshan and produced by Ratan Jain, the film is likely to be released in the last week of August or the first week of September, reports Bollywood Trade.

According to reports, the film has shaped up well and the distributors are excited about it, especially because it has the fresh pairing of Akshaye and Priyanka.

This is Priyanka's first film with the talented actor, who is Jain's blue-eyed boy. The Jain-Akshaye combination has given a hat-trick of hits - "Humraaz", "Hungama" and "Hulchul".

Yash Chopra, who of late stopped directing films so frequently, is contemplating to direct a film soon, which will be basing on a true love story of a Pakistani woman. Yash Chopra's last directorial venture was 'Veer-Zaara'.

As per rumours, Yash Chopra wants to repeat the 'Veer-Zaara' pair in this film also.
Besides Shah Rukh and Preity Zinta, Yash Chopra wants to cast Amitabh Bachchan in an important role.

Andainya penyanyi terkenal Siti Nurhaliza membiarkan semua pihak membuat andaian mereka sendiri makna yang tersirat di sebalik lagu Biarlah Rahsia, beliau tidak pula berahsia ketika mengizinkan penulis menjenguk beg tangannya baru-baru ini.

Gadis berbintang Capricorn ini rupa-rupanya memang 'kaki shopping', khususnya untuk alat solek beliau.

Menurutnya: 'Siti akan ke kaunter alat solek dulu apabila berada di kompleks membeli-belah termasuk ketika di Singapura.'

Jika ke Kota Singa, Siti lebih senang berkunjung ke Takashimaya, Tangs atau ke Paragon untuk mendapatkan bekalan bahan solek atau mencuci mata bagi mendapatkan koleksi terbaru.

Di Kuala Lumpur pula, beliau gemar ke Starhill atau KLCC jika inginkan barang-barang berjenama.

'Jika untuk barang biasa-biasa saja, tempat biasa pun OK,' katanya.

Adakah Siti gemar berbelanja apabila berada di luar negara?

Tanpa berfikir panjang, gadis yang kaya dengan senyuman itu menjelaskan:

'Hmm memang suka... perlu rasanya untuk menggembirakan dan memuaskan hati. Dapat baju sehelai bun cukuplah. Tapi Siti shopping di luar negara pun kerana ada kerja di sana. Contohnya jika ada persembahan.'

Secara jujur Siti, 27 tahun, mendedahkan bahawa kadangkala beliau akan mencuci mata di gedung-gedung kegemarannya semata-mata mahu menghilangkan tekanan atau rasa bosan.

'Siti arif dalam memilih alat solek tapi apabila tiba bab pakaian, Siti gagal. Jadi Kak Rozi (pengurus) yang belikan. Cuma sekarang ini saja Siti pilih sendiri tapi kena rujuk kepada majalah dulu untuk tengok fesyen pakaian,' katanya sambil ketawa manja.

Yang pasti, Siti akan mendapatkan sentuhan emas pereka fesyen terkenal dari Malaysia, Michael Ong, untuk persembahan-persembahan tertentu.

Sama seperti ramai personaliti lain, Siti Nurhaliza juga gemar memakai seluar jeans yang dipadankan dengan kemeja-T pada waktu santai.

'Itulah sebenarnya Siti Nurhaliza,' ujarnya dengan lembut tetapi penuh yakin.

Kenapa suka pakai jeans sewaktu bersantai?

'Siti ni aktif orangnya. Kalau berjalan tu laju saja... jadi pakai jeans lebih mudah,' katanya.

John-Salman fall-out?

John is one gutsy guy considering he took panga with Sallu. After a fall-out between Salman Khan and choreographer Ganesh Hegde, Bosco-Ceaser was brought in for Rockstar. Now Salman wanted all the stars to contribute to their payment and John Abraham refused point-blank. He was already upset with Sallu for projecting Mallika Sherawat as the star attraction for the concert and used the opportunity to get back at him. Shahid-Salman too had a fall-out during this tour. One can surely imagine a fuming Sallu and frosty John, rocking the world tour.

Hrithik appreciates competition!

Hrithik Roshan appreciates healthy competition from his fellow actors. In a recent interview when asked, with actor like Abhishek Bachchan making it big, does his long absence from the big screen make him insecure, he said, "I love the fact that I face healthy competition from actors like Abhishek Bachchan because it forces me to do well. A crack between Shah Rukh and Amitabh is evident!

Things are not all rocking between Shah Rukh Khan and Amitabh Bachchan. The problem can be traced back to Ram Gopal Varma, when suddenly RGV dumped SRK and 'Time Machine' for Amitabh starrer 'Nishabd' and 'Sholay' SRK didn't take it lightly. The grouse is pretty apparently now. SRK and his friends are tactfully avoided the IIFA awards in Dubai next Friday, where Amitabh is the brand ambassador and Abhishek is expected to walk the red carpet with Aishwarya. SRK excused himself saying a family holiday to London was pre-planned, Farah Khan will be working on hubby Kunder's film 'Jaaneman', Karan Johar will be busy with the post-production of 'Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna', even Priyanka Chopra will remain busy in Mumbai for some reason.

Sush in Boney Kapoor抯 next?

If everything falls in place, Sushmita Sen can be seen in a Boney Kapoor's film. As per latest, Sush, who is now busy wrapping up the schedule for her 'Rocking Meera', has given her initial nod to Boney Kapoor. It will be a multi-starrer, however other leading stars have not been finalized yet. The yet untitled film will be directed by Boney himself. We also hear that Boney's wife actress Sri Devi may play a pivotal role in the film. Sushmita is very upbeat about this project. Besides Boney Kapoor's film, Sushmita has comedy king David Dhawan's film in her kitty. This year, she has about six films on floor. "It's been a long journey and today, I look forward to performance which will be path breaking. You can now say, Sushmita has come of age," she laughed.

Vivek signed up a film with Arbaaz! Next with Salman?

It starts with Arbaaz Khan. After Vivek-Aishwarya split, and reports about Aishwarya Rai's growing inclination towards Abhishek Bachchan started doing rounds, the speculation was rife over the chance of two old enemies Vivek and Salman can bury the hatchet. Recently Vivek had even visited Salman's mother in Leelawati Hospital in Mumbai. And now with Vivek signed a film with Salman's brother Arbaaz Khan, it's evident that the Oberois and Khans are more than willing to make peace and forget their earlier spat. As per latest Ahmed Khan has signed up Arbaaz for his next 'Fool & Final'. Ahmed said, "Halfway through the film, I realized I needed Arbaaz in the film too. I knew it would be difficult to get anyone from the Khan family to work with Vivek. But to my surprise, Arbaaz willingly agreed. Even Vivek was more than happy at the prospect of working with Arbaaz."

Remember three years ago, when Vivek had called for a press conference accusing Salman of making 41 threatening calls to him, Arbaaz had reacted vehemently to the situation. By agreeing to do this film together, both actors have put the past behind. So after Arbaaz, who's next, Vivek? Salman?

We are eagerly waiting for the day, when Salman and Vivek will sign up together for same film. Will any overenthusiastic director approach Aishwarya for playing female lead in that film?
