──Firstly, you’ve really matured a lot. Secondly, you’ve just completed your 2nd album! How does that feel?
ChangminWe’ve not been here for about a year and so I’m really happy now! We’regetting better with Japanese and also more used to singing in Japanese!I felt more calm/composed when we were doing the 2nd album.
YunhoI used to think to myself, “I wonder if I’m able to sing a song likethat well …” but I think I’ve grown as a person since our single wasreleased. Furthermore, I’m getting used to it fast. When we firststarted out, we couldn’t carry out conversations well and it took a lotof time. However, now when I feel like I’ve got something to say, I’mable to just say it out. Also, the time spent to record a track is nowshorter than last time!
──What would you like to improve on?
Changmin Iwould like to improve on talking! Besides lessons, I want to be able toget better at studying on my own (he’s so hardworking <3)style="font-weight: bold;">
Yuchun If I were to hear a song that we sang, I want to be able to think that it’s a Japanese person who sang it.
Changmin There’s still more but … For Yuchun, the power in his voice is more able to come out. (I think I got this part wrong T_T)
JunsuI want to feel less nervous when it comes to doing promotionalactivities in Japanese. If I can do that, I think I’ll be able toaccomplish anything. To me, that’s the most important.
Yunho My understanding of things like the culture in Japan, not just knowing Japanese alone.
Jaejoong(He finally speaks!!! XDD) I would like to put more emotions andfeeling into the songs. I would like to get better and be really goodat using my voice to project those feelings.
──Which songs do you think contain a lot of emotion?
Changmin I would say DEAD END. It’s different from the TVXQ we’ve been so far and you can feel a powerful TVXQ!
Yuchun Outof the 13 tracks, I’ll pick Hello Again! There’s an atmosphere/feelingthat I really like in there. When you’re sad and you hear it, you geteven sadder. And when you listen to it when you’re happy, you feelwarm. We did the recording on Christmas Eve and whatever feelings wehad during that time were all put into the song. We even sand the last“La La La” of the chorus together with the staff. It’s a track whichbrings warm memories to me when I think of it. I like it a lot. (Ah, hereally does! He keeps mentioning this in most interviews)
JunsuI like “O” a lot! It was our third title track in Korea and it’s a songthat only TVXQ can sing/pull off. You can see the TVXQ “color” in thatsong! Doing the recording in Korean and Japanese was ok, but as forperforming on stage … (laughs). When I’m singing in Korean, there aretimes where I would suddenly just start singing in Japanese (laughs)
Jaejoong Sky!I only heard the intro of it in the car, but it’s enough to remind meof the past. It brings warm memories of last year’s summer!
Yunho Ichoose Begin, because this song shows the most of TVXQ’s ballad-ishside. We put a lot of the TVXQ feel into that song. And after that,
──Within half a year, you guys have really gotten so much better at Japanese!
Yunho Thankyou very much! This year, we’ve started watching more Japanese dramasand varitie shows and now, we’re still watching a lot of them. We maynot fully understand the whole storyline but we can understand themood/feeling of the show.
Jaejoong Whenwe watched dramas, movies and variety shows last year, we totallyweren’t interested in them. “Why would stuff like that beinteresting??” Now that we can understand it, it’s become interesting!
──You’ve been to many places and heard different dialects. Recently, what dialect do you remember?
Jaejoong “Menchaiko”!
Yunho Menchaiko … HUH? Menkoicha! (laughs) It mean KAWAII (cute) in Sendai.
Junsu Aaah, you didn’t know? Really? Yataaa! (laughs)
--------------------------------------
Therequirements for being a good guy in Korea and Japan are both the same. However, when all the requirements are put together, on the contrary, your charm is halfed huh?
--------------------------------------
──Spring is the season for meetings! In Korea, is it the guys or the girls who do the confessions usually?
Junsu Recently, there are more girls who confess. But in the whole world, there are more men who do the confessions.
Yunho Now, its about half-half. In the old days, it used to be the girls who were the one who were always waiting.
Yuchun (Hmm, yuchun’s been silent for such a long time =__=”) But the number of girls confessing is getting more.
──Inan FAnet survey, we found out that the “Not just being kind, but alsomanly” got the most votes. The second highest was “An honest person”and third “A dependable person”. Fourthly, “An interesting person” andin fifth place “A person who shows his true colors”. Is it the same inKorea?
Junsu HAI, I think it’s the same (laughs)
Yuchun Its really all the same (laughs)
Jaejoong If you say “I like a kind person” … If the person is only kind, he/she really doesn’t have much charm.
Changmin A bit of a cold side would be good.
Yuchun If a person had all those qualities, he/she will be perfect and there’s hardly any charm/attractiveness in that.
Yunho(I don’t really understand this part. It’s something about 2 people wholove each other and erm doing things that are important)
Yuchun That’s 100% for sure!
