My daughter when she dalam Primary 4 last year, kawan2 sekolah dia datang for her birthday. Some were much bigger size than her cam Primary 6, dah baligh pun. From the stories I heard mentel-mentel pulak tu...dah ber boyfren-boyfren kat sekolah. Satu hari my daughter tunjuk surat cinta kawan dia tulis to her boyfren konon-nya tengah ada masalah jealousy because she suspect the boyfren suka ngan another classmate and also like my daughter. Tonggang langgang English and Malay. I baca sampai ketawa and cam nak nangis pun ada.
I tak kasi dia campur banyak sangat with her classmates yang live nearby pasal diaorang suka merayap. Parents kenkadang call me tanya diaorang ada tak kat sini pasal dah maghrib pun tak balik-balik. One of them bila datang sini ada cheek nak mintak pinjam lipstick. Sekel kang.
I told my daughter if I found out dia kecik-kecik dah ada boyfren kat sekolah...I will cukur rambut dia sampai botak and she can go to school macam tu Garang tak aku? |

By time Pri 3 girl finds out she's pregnant, it's | TOO LATE TO ABORT | 'The baby couldn't be aborted because the, the girl was already six months' pregnant. She gave the child up for adoption soon after giving birth.' - Counsellor Sheena Jebal | | March 01, 2007
| |
| | WHAT would a 9-year-old girl know about pregnancy? After all, she's still a child herself. At 9, when all she should fret about was her schoolwork, Jane (not her real name) was already grappling with pregnancy, labour pains and yes, morning sickness.
You see, this girl was in Primary Three when she was made pregnant by her boyfriend from the same primary school back in 2004.
Yes, she was just 9 years old, a Primary Three student in a school here in Singapore, according to a Tamil Murasu report on Sunday.
And by the time her parents found out, it was already too late for her to abort the baby.
The shocking case was mentioned during a seminar about youth relationships organised by Tamil cultural group Narpani Peravai and Republic Polytechnic last Saturday.
Jane, the girl, was an early puberty case, and had already started menstruating when she was eight, said counsellor Sheena Jebal from Nulife Care & Counselling Services to Tamil Murasu.
An early developer, she was about 1.3m tall and quite big-size for a girl her age.
She met her boyfriend in school and they had sex frequently at the girl's house, which was a private property.
All this time, the children's parents never suspected a thing.
The girl's parents were out and working most of the time.
Jane is the only girl in the family.
And when she started gaining weight and had morning sickness, she didn't suspect that she was pregnant.
She just thought she was sick.
Her family, teachers and friends also didn't suspect anything amiss, and thought she was just putting on weight.
When Jane was in school, her blouse was tucked out so no one could tell if she was pregnant.
Her mother - who thought her daughter had a urine infection - took her to the doctor, and was horrified to find out that her daughter was six-months' pregnant.
By that time, it was too late for Jane to abort the baby.
Said Ms Jebal: 'She gave the child up for adoption soon after giving birth.'
Her son would be about 3 years old now.
Jane and her boyfriend were subsequently referred to Ms Jebal for counselling.
The counsellor did not want to reveal more about the case when The New Paper contacted her.
She said it will bring back bad memories for the family and the girl.
According to Tamil Murasu however, both of them are from well-to-do families here.
Jane is currently taking her PSLE in a regional country but her parents are still here. The boy was sent to a Reformative Training Centre soon after.

Mum at 9? It's rare but possible, say doctors | March 01, 2007
| |
| | GIRLS and boys reach puberty between 11 and 13 on average.
But there have been cases of early puberty, said doctors.
Still, it's very unusual for a 9-year-old to become a parent, a gynaecologist and an urologist told The New Paper.
Gynaecologist Ann Tan has never heard or seen any girl below 14 getting pregnant.
When told of Jane's case, she said: 'This is very frightening, I haven't seen anyone so young getting pregnant.'
On average, girls reach puberty around 11, said Dr Tan, who has 15 years' experience.
Consultant urologist Damian Png, who has more than 10 years' experience, said boys usually reach puberty between 11 and 13.
Once a boy reaches puberty, he will produce sperm. He will then be able to make a girl pregnant.
Dr Png said: 'The average age of puberty has become lower over the years.'
In Britain, Sean Stewart became the country's youngest father in 1998 when his 16-year-old girlfriend gave birth to a boy.
Stewart was only 12 at that time, The Independent reported.
He was 11 when his girlfriend Emma Webster became pregnant when she was 15.
They were neighbours and she thought Stewart was the same age as her when they started dating.
The youngest mother ever on record is Lina Medina from Peru.
She was only 5 when she gave birth to a boy on 14 May 1939.
It was found that she had her first period when she was only 8 months old.
Her son, named Gerardo, died from a bone marrow disease when he was 40 in 1979.
The father of her son was never known as she never revealed the father's identity.

DUA KERETA SATU NOMBOR PLAT
MANGSA SYUKUR KES BERAKHIR
Pesalah akui lima tuduhan termasuk mencuri kereta
Peliknya bagaimana nombor plat saya menjadi sasarannya?' tanya beliau.

TIGA WANITA DITANGKAP CUBA SELUDUP ROKOK

WANITA CEDERA DISIMBAH ASID, SUAMI MATI MINUM ASID
- Harian Metro, Utusan Malaysia.

Sharp drop in supply of salted eggs after AVA destroys batches with banned substance
SINGAPORE: The Agri-Food and Veterinary Authority has destroyed 11 consignments of salted duck eggs shipped to Singapore.
The eggs were found to contain the banned dye "Sudan Red". Most of the eggs had come from China over the last two months. Importers say as a result of the ban, the supply of salted eggs has dropped by 90 per cent. The price of a salted egg has gone up by around 50 per cent, from about 22 cents to 35 cents. Importers are now trying to source more eggs from Malaysia and Vietnam. |
