Aku tak bilang eh, ni berlaku kat negara mana eh....

So ada satu hari, ada keluarga tu dah masuk negara lagi satu ni, tapi salah satu paspot terlupa nak chop, tapi kad putih chop.
So masa keluar dari negara tu baru perasan paspot dah tak chop bila masuk..

pegawai yang kat kaunter tu cakap  " i help you, you help me " ( Ni aku alih bahasa omputeh la, jadi universal kan? )
then orang tu pun cakap apa?
pegawai tu cakap " four"
so orang tu ingat 4 xx la ( xx as in currency negara tu )
terus dia cakap " 40 Dollar Sing "

mak datok!! apa nye gile siot...  


So moral story ni, baik2 la korang pegi cek paspot tu dah chop ke belum bila masuk keluar eh....dari mana2 negara la...hehehee

Slow sangat... he list all his reasons la..


So hari ni lots more letters come in, complaining and kutuk the immigration dept..
it seems they waste so much money, tapi open limited counters, they do not fully use manpower properly
in fact paling best, ada satu orang ni cakap,
the more ko barrier sana sini, and cause traffic nuisance, the more serious the damage if ada car bomb or what as all cars are so close together and not flowing...

Nanti aku post...At last, these type of letters are coming to the open.. Well done Spore for speaking up and well done Straits Times for publishing what Sporeans are thinking.

ni smua surat2 berlambak kat Straits Times pasal Kastam jam..

Walaupun aku naik bas nye orang, tapi kalo kereta banyak jam, bas pun jam, aku pun lambat jugak..

Anyway Straits Times Online version memang kena bayar, tapi forum pages is free. So bleh log in baca forum letters.

CHECKPOINT JAMS
Better deployment of manpower needed

I REFER to the reply by the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) regarding the jams at the checkpoints ('Jams at check- points? Security must come first'; ST, Oct 31).

There is no question that we appreciate the efforts by the ICA to ensure the security of Singapore's borders.

For years, traffic jams at the Woodlands checkpoint have been a festering problem. The situation seems to have got worse. Early morning and afternoon hours now see heavy traffic. In the evening and on weekends, massive jams are common.

Many have written to the media with suggestions to alleviate the situation. There have been animated discussions on national radio but the problem seems intractable.

Given Singapore's track record in coming up with ingenious solutions to what seem insurmountable problems, it is baffling that the checkpoint problem remains insoluble.

It will not have escaped the notice of frequent travellers that when more immigration booths are open, traffic through the checkpoints is smooth. However, manpower is not something that one can deploy at the touch of a button when the need arises.

After all these years, surely the ICA is familiar with the travel patterns of motorists, and can make adjustments to its manpower deployment and resources accordingly.

The ICA terms it as 'a little inconvenience' but to the hundreds of motorists who are stuck in jams for hours, it can be an inconvenience of nightmarish proportions. I urge the ICA to resolve the problem of traffic jams at the checkpoints.
