Apple Plugs Windows Safari Security Holes

Just days after its beta release of Safari 3 for Windows became a zero-day nightmare with a number of exploitable vulnerabilities, Apple has rushed out version 3.01 to fix three security flaws. The problems only affect Windows, not the Mac OS X release.
The 3.01 update patches a bug that could lead to Safari running arbitrary commands via CMD.EXE, a denial of service crash due to memory corruption, and a flaw that could lead to a cross-site scripting attack. Windows XP and Vista users can download Safari 3.01 from here:

Corefoundation.dll tu ada denial of service vulnerability issue... mungkin AV ko kill binatang tu bila diguna. Cuba disable AV ko and tengok kalau still ada error tu kuar tak?
Seriously, Safari ni tak patut diclassify as Beta lah... sepatutnya masih Alpha stage. Terlalu banyak bugs - cam tak really tested before being released.  |

Symantec Confirms All the Vulnerabilities in Safari on Windows
- All eight
Security company Symantec has confirmed all eight vulnerabilities impacting Apple's Safari on Windows. Starting on June 11, 2007, Apple made Safari available for Windows XP and Windows Vista. Currently, the product is a public beta release, and Apple informed that the browser will be delivered as a free download for Vista, XP and Tiger simultaneously with the launch of Mac OS X 1.05 Leopard in October.
On the official Apple website for Safari, the Cupertino-based company revealed a total of 12 reasons why users would love Safari. At the bottom of the pile, the 12th reason is of course the "traditional" Apple security. Apple promises nothing short of "worry-free web browsing on any computer" because "Apple engineers designed Safari to be secure from day one." The following paragraphs, applauding the browser's high security level, have been
taken from the Safari web page.
"For starters, Safari uses robust encryption to ensure that your private information stays that way. When you browse a secure site, Safari displays a lock icon in the upper-right corner of the browser. If you want to know more about the credentials of a secure site, click the lock icon and Safari displays detailed information about the site抯 security certificate.
Safari supports SSL versions 2 and 3, as well as Transport Layer Security (TLS), the next generation of Internet security. Safari uses these technologies to provide a secure, encrypted channel that protects all your information from online eavesdroppers. And Safari lets you use standards-based authentication such as Kerberos single sign-on and X.509 personal certificates, or proprietary protocols like NTLMv2 to log in to secure sites.

Ingat safari ni power & laju laaaa..tapi hampeh! Tak boleh nak beat firefox, opera and IE7..
Cuma yang aku suka fonts dia aja.. |

menda baru nak merangkak, memang lar sloww/ byk bugs weiiiii...
tunggu lar 3-6 bulan lg, oklar..firepork dulu pun setara tu gak...
dah lama2, ok lar tue, apa2 problem linkkan terus ke bhg tech safari,
under Help..itu cara yg boley utk debugger solve the probs.. |

pendapat aku, ie best, firefox pun best, safari pun ok gak,
memasing ada kebestsan masing2... ada yg safari bole buat, tp firefox takleh...
begitulah sebaliknya...
semua browser yg best aku pakai ikut kesesuaian yg aku nak...
yang penting aku happy...
