I vote for Sukhoi for these reasons:
1) Less logistical nightmare.
2) Flip flop in US foreign policy. Remember Pakistan, which was held their F-16 for a long time?
3) Should get more discounts as we already bought 18 from them..
4) Much-much lower spec of a/c if buy from US, especially we are not their closest allies unlike SG, Israel, Oz, S.Korea, etc.. |

U know, the flip-flop of the idea to only look at the Russians for equipment is that we dont trade and do business with them so much. Additionally, they dont like sharing technology too. Hence, although we may be unable to accept this fact, it is real.
Now, remember growth is also related with trade. And good trade is where u find it. Lets face the facts here, as a trading nation, a belligerent Russia doesnt help, our goods in China would meet stiff competition with cheaper stuff there, hence, where we continue doing business? As many markets as we can find.
If u still dont understand, look at this way, no growth equals no revenue equals to? When u want to be so critical of the US, realise that there are good pple over there.
And if any of u want to refer to Pakistan, well, the radicals over made their choice superseding deveopment for radicalism. Nobody benefits, the country is going no where and at the slightest rumour of elections, clashes occur and pple get killed. The country has set its tone away.
Lastly, I dont see anyone complaining about the Chechens who died in Russia? Lets not forget, even Russians limit the selling of some equipment too.

MiG-29N - air superiority (upgrade to near MiG-29 SMT/MiG-35 standard)
F-18D - Sea Strike
Hawk 208 - Land Strike + add on lost
F-18F & SU-30MKM - MRCA
+ AEW&C...v will be very strong |

F/18F is a perfect choice ...but SU-30 is not too bad at all..
Well in gulf war, 2 F/18 were shot down by either MIG-25 or SAM.. |

20 x F/A-18F
20 x Hawk 208
The rest shld be trainers (16-20). Notice tht I did not include the MiGs (for logistical reasons) |

Kalau msia amik FA-18F, rasanya capability mungkin kureng dari F-15SG.
Takkan amrika senang2 nak bagi spec yg equal or advance daripada anak didik dia kot..??
Dikhuatiri nanti senjata makan anak didik sendiri pulak...
Ataupun dorang letak syarat seperti, boleh dapat apa yg msia nak bersyarat beri laluan kepada anak didik dorang berlatih dan terbang buat bising di zon udara Msia. Luah mati mama, telan mati papa.
Memandangkan senario politik antara Russkies dan Msia tengah 'mesra' nih,..rasanya tada masalah kot..

get more Su-30MKMs..forget the SH,get additional ex-USN or USMC -18Ds.
the -29 should go,same for the Hawk208s.we need more LIFTs.
in short..36 MKMs,16 F/A-18D and Hawk LIFTs. |

i dont know about u all, i prefer to see mesia has around 48-72 MKM plus equal number of M-MRCA, beside the minimum requirement for the LIFTs and the AJTs. |

Why not opt for european source? They have far better offer than US in term of cooperation. Rafale is quite good, as most avionics are also found on MKM. We have good cooperation with the french (Scorpene, Sagem, Thales, MBDA, etc.) |

I prefer, additional SU-30MKM, JAS-39 Grippen for support. Upgraded MiG-29N to MKM series and additional MiG-29...
Replaced Hawk with T-50/A-50 Golden Eagle, got bad reputation... |
