ini sms tipu. tapi aku hairan macam mana dia bole tipu duit hanya dgn mintak no account? adakah dia pakai strategi yg sama macam nigerian scam. mintak duit processing in advance? atau dia guide okt (orang kena tipu) pi ke ATM pastu buat 3rd party transfer? kalau ada yg tau sila share kat sini, supaya semua orang bole tau modus operandi dia. |

mulai hr ni kite kena tau baca nombor2 dr negara lain berserta kod negara tsb.. kalau 62 dpn tu aku rasa means kod negara Indonesia, kalau Thailand 66, Malaysia 60.. nnt senang x tertipu..
kalau shell malaysia nak bg adiah, watpe susah2 anta sms dr Indonesia..? |

bapak aku dah kena tipu...dah kena baru dia nak cerita kat anak2...hangin aku pasal ake adik beradik pernah pesan jgn percaya taua pedulikan aje sms camtu..
camni cerita ringkasnya...bapak aku dapat sms dari shell kata menang 10k...pastu bapak aku call la no hp yg tertera tu balik...orang tu cakap slang omputih cakap melayu dan claim salah seorang engineer shell...dia minta bapak aku transfer duit kat satu acc bank rakyat..pastu mintak no bankcard bapak aku bukan no acc. so bapak aku transfer la...dlm 600....then lepas transfer besok kena sedut balance dlm tu...nasib baik 500++ jer...bila bapak aku tanya budak bank tu...depa suruh tukar kad atm tu..then dia ada call balik, sampai sekarang senyap..no tu off jer..aku ajak bapak aku report polis dia tak mau..dok termenung jer..nasib baik sikit..je |

Diddled by SMS 'Shell' cheats
KUALA LUMPUR: Did you receive this SMS? "Congratulations! Your SIM card number has just won the grand prize of RM15,000 from Shell Malaysia."
If you ignored this text message it was a wise decision. Unfortunately, many people did not and got duped.
The SMS syndicates are back.
In the latest scam, foreigners are believed to have "rented" local bank accounts, using the name of "Shell Malaysia" to dupe victims.
To rent an account, the syndicate will approach locals and say they are doing business and need accounts. They offer RM150 to open an account as well as 10 per cent of any amount deposited into it.
They then send out SMSes about "winning" the grand prize. Those who contacted Shell directly were alerted to the scam.
It is believed many were duped into believing they had actually won.
They would be told that to claim the prize they would have to pay a processing fee of at least RM800 into the "rented" local bank accounts.
Shell Malaysia recently issued a statement to warn the public of the scam and said winners of any competition run by Shell would be notified through the media or on the Shell website.
It also said winners would receive phone calls by a Shell-appointed agency. Under no circumstances does Shell require any bank account numbers, it added.
It is learnt several police reports have been lodged over the SMS scam and the Federal Commercial Crimes Investigation Department is probing the matter.
MCA Public Services and Complaints Department head Datuk Michael Chong said he received a SMS informing him that he had won RM15,000.
"I responded to the SMS and asked how soon could I get my prize?
"I also inquired whether there was any processing fees involved or stamp duty."
He got no response to his queries.
"Numerous reports have been carried by the media regarding these scams and still people fall for it.
"There is no such thing as a free lunch or easy money."

It has come to Shell's attention that Short Messaging System (SMS) text messages are being sent to people claiming that they have won prizes from Shell Malaysia. Typically the sms will tell the SMS recipient that they have won a cash prize from Shell.
Please do not reply but ignore the sms. Shell Malaysia does NOT use text messages to communicate to our contest winners.
All winner announcements for contests run by Shell are advertised in the media and available on the Shell Malaysia website www.shell.com.my. Winners will also receive a phone call informing them of their win by a Shell appointed agency. At which point, Shell's agency will need to verify the winner's name, NRIC and address for the prizes to be couriered to the winners. Shell does NOT require any bank account numbers, etc. If ever in doubt, please do check the website to ensure that you are indeed a Shell contest winner.
