Lotus closing on four more sponsor deals
Lotus will not stop at CNN and Maxis in terms of signing agreements with third-party sponsors, boss Tony Fernandes said on Friday.
According to the Malaysian news agency Bernama, the millionaire would not reveal names but said his team is in talks with four local and international companies.
Fernandes said no fewer than four of the sponsors will join the livery of the green T127 during the 2010 season.
"It means more if it is Malaysian money," he told reporters at an event. "It was just six months when we built the team and we have now won the crowd."
Meanwhile, there was an amusing moment after the FIA press conference on Friday, when Fernandes emerged from the building with his driver Heikki Kovalainen.
They had failed to prepare for a downpour, and - due to Fernandes' running of the AirAsia airline - did not want to huddle under an umbrella emblazoned with the words 'Fly Kingfisher' wielded by Force India's Vijay Mallya and Tonio Liuzzi. |

Heikki high for Lotus
IT GOT better for Lotus Racing in qualifying for an F1 race in a rain-hit session at the Malaysian Grand Prix yesterday.
Heikki Kovalainen made it to a first Q2 for the team and ended in 15th place with a time of 1:52.270. And Jarno Trulli just missed the cut for the top 17 second session, clocking 1:52.884 for 18th place on the starting grid today.
Kovalainen was extremely pleased with his efforts in improving on his position from the first two rounds in Bahrain and Australia. In fact, he had hoped that rain would fall.
“I’m so pleased! I really like these conditions. It’s very hard to judge your speed and you really have to take some risks. All the time you’re feeling like you might lose the car but that’s the challenge and I love it,” said the Finn. |

LOTUS (Jarno Trulli 17, Heikki Kovalainen retired)
Both cars finished, although Kovalainen was 10 laps down and unclassified. Kovalainen dropped back at the start and then damaged his left rear tyre in a tussle with Di Grassi's Virgin. He pitted again after 20 laps with an hydraulics problem but rejoined to finish. Trulli was hit by Glock on lap two and spun.

dari segi improvement:
aero : kena tunggu package baru aero dulu baru komen
engine : definitely kena cari engine yg lagi power baru leh compete top honours, lebih baik kalu ada engine sendiri
technical : masih jauh ngan tim2 besar dan kaya |

tak perlu ada harapan tinggi..merangkak2 dulu lama2 boleh berlari laju |

tim baru lain leh ah merangkak dulu, masalahnya tim ni carry nama LOTUS, satu nama besar dlm f1 dulu, so hope tu tinggi ah
tu yang aku kata engine kena carik yg high performance tu, baru padan ngan nama, tapi kena bayar mahal le pulok |
