Kamal D Nathani has assisted the likes of Sai Paranjpe on classics like ?hashme Baddoor? and ?atha?. He is also a part of another middle of the road cinema ?aath Saath? that is best remembered for a fabulous music score. After spending several years in television, he is making a foray in Hindi cinema with ?ith Luv Tumhara?.

This film stars Parvin Dabas, Preeti Jhangiyani and Anupama Verma. And it has already impressed with a few fantastic songs composed by Sudeep Banerjee. Nathani is hopeful that his film will do down well with people who like ?ood clean cinema?. His intentions are in the right place but with a limited release, Nathani can only look forward to some critical acclaim if at all the film merits it.

?ith Luv Tumhara? releases today in a mere five cinemas in Mumbai. Is it the ?hoom 2? effect?.Or something else?.

S-E-L to unleash ?alaam-e-ishq? magic today
Faridoon Shahryar, IndiaGlitz [Saturday, December 02, 2006]

After winning all the awards in 2006 for ?unty Aur Babli?, the trio of Shankar Ehsan and Loy followed up with the music for ?aran Johar's? ?abhi Alvida Na Kehna? this year. ?on? was another test they passed with flying colours. But the general impression about this soundtrack was that the original ?ain Hoon Don?, ?aj Ki Raat? and ?ourya Re? were far more effective than the remixes of ?e Mera Dil? and ?haike Paan Banaraswala?.

Now the year 2007 is expected to be a bigger year for Shankar, Ehsaan and Loy with Nikhil Advani's ?alaam-E-Ishq? all set for its musical release today. The seven song album promises to continue the SEL brand of innovative listener-friendly-music with singers like Sonu Nigam, Adnan Sami, Shreya Ghoshal, Kunal Ganjawala, Sadhana Sargam, Shankar Mahadevan, Shaan, Mahalakshmi and many more gracing the album.

What's more ?alaam-E-Ishq? is a Bollywood fan's dream come true. It stars Salman Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Govinda, John Abraham, Vidya Balan, Akshaye Khanna, Ayesha Takia, Anil Kapoor, Juhi Chawla and Sohail Khan.

All you guys out there stay tuned to IndiaGlitz for the most comprehensive music review of ?alaam-e-ishq? For we not only deliver fast. We also deliver quality.

Rahman? ?aage Hain?; Guru? delight
Faridoon Shahryar, IndiaGlitz [Saturday, December 02, 2006]

A R Rahman has done it again. His superlative brilliance in the soundtrack of ?uru? is a revelation for the music lovers. Be it ?arso Re? where Aishwarya is dancing like a dream under the canopy of blue sky, ?e Hairathe Aashiqui? or ?ere Bina? Rahman gems are a collector? delight. But the song that leaves you speechless has to be ?aage Hain?. For it? not merely a song but a state of mind. A stream of sub-consciousness that flows unabated invoking the spiritual side of your personality that stays dormant.

Chitra starts off the proceedings in a slow sedate manner as her vocals unleash the magic with little or no accompaniment in the background. AR joins her in the whispering mode pleading for some sleep for he has remained awake for most part of the night anyways. And then he shifts gears magnificently and touches the highest contours of magnificence. There are layers of meanings in this song. It? about human life where happiness is a brief episode in the general drama of pain. ?aage Hain? is one song that catapults Rahman to the level of greatest maestros or artistes who delivered much more than mere entertainment through their art.

Rahman magic flows like an impassioned river determined to embrace the sea of timelessness.

SRK? KBC press con on Dec 5th
Faridoon Shahryar, IndiaGlitz [Saturday, December 02, 2006]

Three letters that spell magic. Three letters that spell excitement. Three letters that every Indian knows?.KBC is back with its new host Shahrukh Khan. Well, that? the text of the invite we received from Star Plus yesterday. And it also added that SRK will be answering the media on his decision to become the next host for the hugely popular game show ?aun Banega Crorepati? in a press conference on Tuesday, December 5th.

Well, after the news was broken last Sunday that King Khan is going to take over from where Big B left, we did a little public opinion on who you think makes a better choice for being the host of ?BC?. An overwhelming majority of people were of the opinion that it would be impossible for Shahrukh to get into Bachchan? shoes as he doesn? have the same mass appeal. A few others said that Big B? humility was his biggest asset while SRK? arrogance will not go down well the family audience.

The one? who did favour SRK was a bunch of college girls, a couple of school kids and an NRI shopping in Lokhandwala. Well, that? exactly the market SRK caters to: The youngsters, kids and the overseas crowd. They were of the opinion that SRK will surely add his own. And, what about the rumours that he is supposedly being paid a whopping Rs 280 crores for hosting the show? ?e deserves it?,? answered a college girl with the squeal of a diehard fan.

So, what do you think?.Who makes a better host?RK or Big B (Or is it being unfair on SRK considering we haven? seen even the first episode). And does Shahrukh deserve all the money that he is rumouredly going to get?

Exclusive - 'Black Friday' ready for release
Joginder Tuteja, IndiaGlitz [Saturday, December 02, 2006]

Anurag Kashyap has reasons to smile. His most distinguished work till date, 'Black Friday', is finally gearing up for release coming January.

Also an accomplished script and dialogue writer, Anurag hasn't enjoyed similar success so far when it comes to films directed by him. He has the dubious distinction of a director who has suffered the longest wait for his debut venture to be seen in theatres. His first film 'Paanch' has been stuck in the cans for ages, first due to censor restrictions and then due to a long delay from the producer's end.

Now the courageous director should be happy as while on one hand he is busy shooting for his John Abraham starrer 'No Smoking', on the other his second film 'Black Friday', a dark film based on 1993 Bombay bomb blasts, would finally release too.

Starring Kay Kay, Pawan Malhotra and other talented theatre artistes in important roles, 'Black Friday' is a hard-hitting drama produced by Arindam Mitra with lyrics by Piyush Mishra and music by famous band Indian Ocean.

"How does Abhi-Ash marriage impact your personal life?" - Big B
Joginder Tuteja, IndiaGlitz [Saturday, December 02, 2006]

Scribes in London experienced the chill in the voice of Big B when they pestered him on the marriage rumors of son Abhishek and Aishwarya.

In the city for promotion of 'Babul', apart from answering queries on his next Friday's release, Amitabh Bachchan was patient enough to respond to the marriage rumors. He took a balanced approach by stating that he was happy about Abhishek being a normal child and respected his feelings and matters of heart.

Beyond this he didn't comment any further and left it open to speculations and debate. Coming from a respected senior actor like Big B, it was a clear cut message that he didn't want any further discussion on the topic.

This is the reason why Big B was indeed peeved when he was asked the same question by another journo in a one to one conversation. Poor guy was in a surprise as Big B replied back by asking him how did his personal life get affected by what was happening in the personal life of Bachchan family?

With a sheepish grin on his face, the journo was left with no option but to make a hasty exit but not before getting a dose of ever famous chilly response from the actor. Chapter closed; there was no one from this moment on who dared to question him again on the marriage rumors.

Coming to the professional front of Bachchans, while Abhishek Bachchan has been a contributing factor to the stupendous box office outcome of 'Dhoom 2' with the fantabulous figures of the first week being out, Big B seems to be having a winner in the hand with 'Babul' sounding extremely promising. Also, Abhi and Ash should have reasons to smile as 'Guru' is fast catching up on the wish list of film lovers too.

Zamaanat update - postponed again
Joginder Tuteja, IndiaGlitz [Saturday, December 02, 2006]

Let's keep it short and simple.

'Zamaanat' which finally seemed to be getting ready to release early December has been postponed again. The film has now been pushed to 2007 and is expected to arrive in January.

With biggies like 'Guru', 'Salaam-E-Ishq' and 'Fool & Final' already in fray for a January release and February being jam packed 'Traffic Signal', 'Eklavya - The Royal Guard', 'Namastey London', 'Shakalaka Boom Boom', 'Cash' and 'Metro', one wonders when would this film finally see the light of the day?

Wait for 'Banjar' begins as 'Kabul Express' gets ready to arrive
Joginder Tuteja, IndiaGlitz [Saturday, December 02, 2006]

Talkie promos of 'Kabul Express' have been a hit ever since they were first seen in theatres months back. This was followed by the promotional video of 'Kabul Fiza' picturised on John Abraham and Arshad Warsi which has already enabled the album to arrive in Top-10. Raghav Sachar's innovative tunes have worked wonders for the film's audio in spite of the fact that none of the songs would feature in the film.

Now one looks forward to the next song 'Banjar' which is in fact the best track of the album. Coming in three versions by Shubha Mudgal, Sunidhi Chauhan and KK respectively, 'Banjar' is a thought provoking yet entertaining number in spite of the fact that the song deals with the barren state of the once-beautiful land of Afghanistan.

Written by Swartmika Mishra, Vijay Kumar and Aditya Dhar, it is the song of the album and deserves to be promoted soon along with the visuals from the film to enhance the overall impact.

Surprise - Emraan Tanushree not paired in GBBG after ABA
Joginder Tuteja, IndiaGlitz [Saturday, December 02, 2006]

Emraan Hashmi and Tanushree Dutta sizzled, and how, in their last year's decent success 'Aashiq Banaya Aapne'. The two managed to heat up the scene with their intimate moments, especially in the title song of 'Aashiq Banaya Aapne' and it seemed that the 'jodi' would be a lot talked about in the coming months.

They did come together soon in 'Chocolate' but were not exactly paired opposite each other. The story is repeated again in Subhash Ghai's next film 'Good Boy Bad Boy' where the two are there in the film but are paired opposite other actors. While Emraan Hashmi has Isha Sharvani for company, Tanushree Dutta romances Tushar Kapoor.

A surprising combination indeed, one now waits for this film directed by Ashwini Chaudhary to see how the story really unfolds.

Bhavna Balsavar joins ?ohny Aala Re?
Faridoon Shahryar, IndiaGlitz [Monday, December 04, 2006]

Zee TV? popular comedy programme, ?ohny Aala Re? is going to get a dose of rib tickling comedy of Bhavna Balsavar. Bhavna who has been in the industry for more than a decade now and done some of the biggest comedy flicks to her credit like ?ekh Bhai Dekh? and ?abaan Sambhal Ke? is looking forward to her stint with Johny Lever after having withstood the mirth spread by another comedy king of small screen Shekhar Suman in ?ekh Bhai Dekh?.

?ohny Aala Re? has completed 65 episodes and it continues to regale the viewers with the stand up comedy by the renowned comedy man Johny Lever. His take on Javed Akhtar is hilarious. Especially because, none of the mimicry artistes has tried to copy the lisping Akhtar so far in any of the other shows. Here? hoping Johny Lever will take this flavour of comedy to his films as well.

Does Ash-Hrithik Kiss Warrants a Court Case?
Faridoon Shahryar, IndiaGlitz [Monday, December 04, 2006]

Why the hell such a big deal is being made out of a mere kiss? Beats me! Especially when the kiss in question has been shot aesthetically and is a beautiful romantic moment in the film. Obviously you know what I? referring to. Now, the Ash-Hrithik kiss in ?hoom 2? has invited a court case. A publicity hungry advocate Shailendra Dwivedi finds it ?bscene? and has filed a case in the court of judicial magistrate first class R K Batham in Indore under Sections 292 (vulgarity) and 509 (derogatory to women) of the Indian Penal Code.

According to the complainant, the women felt offended after watching the scene and it promoted vulgarity in society, especially among the youth. The court has fixed December 11 for recording evidence. Earlier it was alleged that the Bachchans were upset with Aishwarya for losing her inhibitions. But this public tamasha has gone a bit too far. Apparently this advocate Shailendra Dwivedi has earlier filed such complaints against other film stars as well with the sole intention of becoming famous. It goes without saying that with all the news channels showing his bytes, the man is famous already and can also provoke a few heated debates on television soon.

Hypothetically speaking if the court finds Aishwarya and Hrithik guilty and sentences them to jail, then in that case kissing queen Mallika Sherawat would be sentenced for life?h these kissing woes?.

Meet Ramdayal and Phoolwati in 'Salaam-E-Ishq'
Joginder Tuteja,, Indiaglitz [Monday, December 04, 2006]

While the promos of 'Salaam-E-Ishq' give a chick and urban look to the film, there is a surprise in store for you.

One of the lead pairs in the film has its lead protagonists go by the name of Ramdayal and Phoolwati. Surprised? But then that's truth! And the roles are played by none other than Sohail Khan and Isha Kopikar respectively. In the film they play a newly married couple from a small town in North India. To add to the fun, Sohail a.k.a. Ramdayal is shown as farmer who is obsessed with what most men are in their young age - suhag raat, the first night!

The hilarious situations that follow once he is close to achieving his dreams is what follows the crux of Sohail's track with Isha!

Record 700 Best buses to promote Bhagam Bhag
Faridoon Shahryar, IndiaGlitz [Monday, December 04, 2006]

It seems the producers of ?hagam Bhag? Ashtavinayak are going all out to ensure big publicity for the film. It has booked as many as 700 BEST buses (with the usual amount being 300-350) to promote the film and its posters.

Priyadarshan and Producers Shree Ashtavinayak Cinevision Ltd have pulled out at all stops for their joint magnum opus ?hagam Bhag?. And endorsing that is the amazing Rs 1 Crore spent for the title song of the film starring Akshay Kumar and Govinda. Filmed at Yash Raj and Kamal Amrohi Studios in Mumbai and choreographed by ace dance director Ganesh Acharya, the track is to be used during the credits of the film.

The song is the title track of the film and our two heroes in the video have donned the get up of stylish rap singers. The music video is very much in sync with the comic theme of the film, and the two are accompanied by many beautiful women, who dance along with them.

Starring Akshay Kumar and Govinda along with Paresh Rawal, Lara Dutta, Tanushree Dutta, Arbaaz Khan, Shakti Kapoor, Rajpal Yadav, Asrani, Manoj Joshi and Jackie Shroff, the film is about the hilarious trials and tribulations, Bunty Akshay) and Babla (Govinda) together go through as theatre artists with Champak Chaturvedi (Paresh Rawal)'s theatre group.

Now 'Babul' caught in distributors - multiplexes tiff
Joginder Tuteja, IndiaGlitz [Monday, December 04, 2006]

Close on the heels of 'Dhoom 2' not seeing a multiplex release in Delhi/UP due to disagreement of revenue sharing between multiplexes and distributors, 'Babul' too has joined the list of films where this argument is taking a toll on a film.

As per reports, the film may not have a multiplex release in Mumbai due to the similar issue that has been plaguing the industry since 'Fanaa'. Later 'Lage Raho Munnabhai' went through similar problems too but eventually both these films did sail through at the multiplexes.

While stakes are increasing with every passing month being witness to bigger and better movies hitting the marquee and practically recovering their entire investment in a matter of 2-3 weeks, it comes across as a unhealthy trend to see the same problem re-emerging for every biggie.

Shiraz Bhattachrya directs 'Ladakh' for Rahul Sharma
Joginder Tuteja, IndiaGlitz [Monday, December 04, 2006]

If you have caught some of the recent compositions from santoor king Rahul Sharma, you would certainly have noticed the great visuals the songs videos bring with them.

One of the recent videos coming from Rahul Sharma is for the track 'Om Mani Padme Hum' from his latest album 'Ladakh - In Search of Buddha'. The scenic beauty of Ladakh has been captured excellently by the man on the hot seat Shiraz Bhattacharya who has shot the video. While the track is an excellent hear all the way, what is notable is the way Ladakh is captured on film.

Incidentally Shiraz was also the director of Rahul's 'Time Traveler' which again has been one of his exemplary works. Even Rahul is full of appreciation for Shiraz as he says, "Shiraz has done complete justice to my musical expressions by creating a fabulous and cutting edge new video."

Shiraz is an accomplished music video director and has shot videos like Mehnaz's 'Sajnaa', Vishal Shekhar's 'Aaya India', Ali Zafar's 'Masti' along with one of his biggest hits ever ?aja piya? [Dance Masti] featuring Shyla Lopez.

'Say Na' girl Aneela is back with 'Mahi'
Joginder Tuteja, IndiaGlitz [Monday, December 04, 2006]

Aneela is a pop star who rose to fame with her single 'Say Na Say Na' that was heard in 'Bluffmaster' that released last year. Now Aneela is back with a full fledged album of hers titled 'Mahi'. Comprising of chartbuster songs like 'Mahi', 'Chori Chori', 'Jaande', 'Bombay Dreams' and many more, 'Mahi' is made of 12 songs that have been released internationally and now have been compiled for a launch as an album in India

A young woman, Aneela was born in Denmark in a small town called Frederiksvaerk. She has a half-Persian half-Pakistani mother and a dad born in India. Young Tanushree Dutta suffers from hiccups
Joginder Tuteja, IndiaGlitz [Monday, December 04, 2006]

Offer a glass of water to Tanushree Dutta if you ever meet her on a way. Reason? She is suffering from hiccups and is unable to get rid of the problem, strictly on the screens that is!

We are talking about Tanushree's next song after 'Pyaar Ka Signal' where she is ready to heat the dance floor yet again. The number in question is 'Hichkee' [which stands for hiccup] and the picturisation of the same is done for her upcoming film 'Risk'. A naughty number with a big dose of Marathi folk element to it, 'Hichkee' is a song that plays to the gallery and should be quite identifiable in Maharashtra. Bright shades coupled with some striking set designs make this item number stand out of the crowd.

'Risk' is a Vishram Sawant film where the young director pairs up with his 'D' lead Randeep Hooda yet again. Special attraction of the film is Vinod Khanna's return to the big screen where he plays a baddie.

When chief minister visited Jodha Akbar?.
Faridoon Shahryar, IndiaGlitz [Tuesday, December 05, 2006]

Ashutosh Gowarikar is shooting the first schedule of forty five days of his epic film ?kbar Jodha? at a film set in Amar Palace in Jaipur. The unit recently had a surprise guest in the form of chief minister of Rajasthan Vasundhra Raje Scindia. Ms Scindia had a brief conversation with the leading lady of the film Aishwarya Rai. Incidentally, both ladies share a common woe in the immediate past?.They?e had their share of kissing woes. While Ash? kiss with Hrithik in ?hoom 2? earned her the wrath of Bachchans and a court case, Ms Scindia? ?nusual? lip lock with Kiran Shaw Majumdar caused much embarrassment to her party.

?kbar Jodha? is having its own share of controversies. While the historians are objecting to the mutilation of history in the film, it? being said that director Gowarikar has clearly told Aishwarya that she shouldn? contemplate marriage before the movie is released as the smoking hot chemistry shared by Ash and Hrithik in ?hoom 2? is the high point of ?kbar Jodha? and nothing should subdue that. Showbiz is really a tough profession as far as personal relationships are concerned. Isn? it!
