Style is defined as an adornment, which adds mystique to the persona of an icon, more so an icon of the silver screen, and its quotient of success is defined by the way it comes to be associated with the persona, if it is defined as a physical attribute. That way, Abhishek Bachchan can be said to have created a style of his own, and can claim to be a style icon. The bearded look that he adorns is a definite fashion statement, which is a by-product of a physical attribute. Abhishek consciously or unconsciously therefore is following in the footsteps of his illustrious father, the Big B whose stylish whiskers had become a rage during his times. Abhishek has gone one step further that his father in developing his style quotient by bringing back double button cuffs in the shirt which were hovering on the periphery as a fashion statement till reinvented by Abhishek. Another style quotient that has been established by Abhishek has been wearing of the wristband watch, which seems to be more of his extension. Various other stars sport the watch but when Abhishek sports it becomes the extension of his persona.

Unconsciously Shah Rukh Khan also tried to create a fashion statement of his own through the dresses that he adorned in DON, but could not succeed, and as such his attempt to create a statement of his own still has to take off. Akshaye- Nikhil has done outstanding job in SEI

Akshaye Khanna is back in Bombay from his 2 months schedule of the film with Abbas Mastan in Dubai. Since his busy schedule, he has been receiving a lot of congratulatory calls, since the promos of SALAAM-E-ISHQ have been creating quite a stir. "Its good to be back in Bombay, was missing it. Have been receiving good feedback on the promos of SALAAM-E-ISHQ on air now. Nikhil has done an outstanding job in the film. I m quite proud of the film," said an excited Akshaye.

Even Akshaye seems quite optimistic of the much-awaited film, as it's his 1st release in 2007, which seems to be a promising year ahead for.

Soon after SALAAM-E-ISHQ, he has got GANDHI MY FATHER, which is sure to earn his critical reviews followed by 2 films by Abbas Mastan.

Scoop: Deol-Zinta fight

There is high drama happening on the sets of Shaad Ali's 'Jhoom Bara Bar Jhoom' in London. A prank played by Zinta blew out of proportion, leaving Bobby refusing to shoot.

A song sequence was being shot and Bobby had to maintain curls in his hair for continuity purposes. Preity hid the actor's curling iron and that made him mad with rage. Zinta said that she was sorry, but Deol was in no mood to listen. Let's see if they kiss and make up later on.

Akshaye back from Dubai shooting spell NEW!

Khanna has been well received in the promos of Nikhil Advani's Salaam-E-Ishq, produced by Mukesh Talreja, Sunil Manchanda and Chetan Motiwalla. In the film, Khanna features along with Anil Kapoor, Salman Khan, John Abraham, Govinda, Sohail Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Juhi Chawla, Ayesha Takia, Vidya Balan, Shannon Esrechowitz and Ishaa Koppikar.

"It's good to be back in Mumbai," says Khanna, adding, "Nikhil has done an outstanding job with the film. I am quite proud of it." Salaam-E-Ishq will be Khanna's first release in 2007. After that, his next release will be Gandhi My Father, which will be followed by two films made by Abbas-Mastan.

Preity Zinta denies assault on labourers

Amidst reports that bodyguards of industrialist Ness Wadia had assaulted labourers working in his companion Preity Zinta's apartment block here, the actress on Thursday denied the allegations and accused the media of targeting her because of her star status.

According to a TV channel, over a dozen bodyguards of Wadia, scion of the textile major Bombay Dyeing group, allegedly beat up the labourers, including a 13-year-old boy, working two floors above Preity's 10th floor residence in suburban Bandra.

An enraged Preity was later seen storming down from her residence and telling the concerned journalist, "Please do your homework before you report anything to the nation. You cannot target me and my boyfriend just because I am a film star."

The actress also denied there was any labourer in the building at the time of the alleged incident and challenged the reporter to prove the same.

"There has been no complaint registered in any police station regarding any incident of this sort," Additional Commissioner of Police (West Region) Bipin Bihari said.

Salman Khan and John Abraham to rock Kuala Lumpur

Setting aside their reported rivalry, Bollywood studs Salman Khan and John Abraham are all set to take part in a three-day Bollywood extravaganza in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The Global Indian Film Awards programme started Thursday with the premiere of Babul , starring Salman, who is also hugely popular in Malaysia, Indonesia and the Middle East.

A highlight of the movie is the title song by mega superstar Amitabh Bachchan , who plays the progressive and fun-loving father whose daughter-in-law

Aishwarya Rai normally avoids going to events where her ex boyfriend Salman Khan is in attendance. But this time she made an exception.

It has been close to four years since Ash and Salman parted ways. And since then, there has been no truce between them. Not only have the two not spoken to each other, Ash has categorically turned down film offers to act with Salman and has even shunned from as much as verbally taking his name in television interviews.

But the premiere of Ravi Chopra抯 movie Babul on Wednesday, December 6, saw Salman and Ash present under the same roof.

The movie抯 premiere, held at Cinemax in Mumbai, was attended by the film抯 main stars : Amitabh Bachchan , Rani Mukherjee , Salman Khan and John Abraham .

Ash too was invited to the event and she walked in with her family. Abhishek Bachchan came separately.

According to a source who was present at the event, Amitabh, Ravi Chopra and Salman took the lead in meeting the guests. While Salman decorously kept a distance from Ash, sources say a few glances did exchange between them. However, the cold war is apparently still not over as they did not exchange courtesies.

However, Salman did get along very well with Mr. Bachchan and Abhishek.

Shooting with Rani Mukherjee for Pradeep Sarkar抯 next movie, Konkona Sen Sharma admits to have learnt a few things from her co-star.

After leaving her mark in art-house productions, Konkona is now making a foray into Bollywood mainstream. She has been shooting for Sarkar抯 film in Varanasi along with Rani, Jaya Bachchan and Anupam Kher .

On the very first day of shoot, Konkona and Rani were mobbed by fans in Varanasi. Having little experience in handling large crowds, Konkona was at loss. It was Rani who swung into action, held Konkona by hand and led her away from the frenzied mob.

On another occasion, while shooting for a song, Konkona says Rani was of tremendous help.

Aishwarya Rai sued by man offended by kissing scene in film

A lawyer in India has actually filed a lawsuit because an actress, Aishwarya Rai, kissed a man in a movie.

Bollywood actress Rai, said to be one of the world's most beautiful women, kissed actor Hrithik Roshan in a scene that severely upset the man.

He claimed that women felt offended after watching the scene and it promoted vulgarity in society.

"Bollywood actors are conveying vulgarity in the society," Shailendra Dwivedi of Indore told Reuters. "These films cannot be watched with our families, they are so vulgar at times."

The Himalayan Times reports that a local court "accepted Dwivedi's petition to punish the actors and said it would hear the petitioner on December 11th."

The Indian censor board released the movie with a "parental discretion" certificate due to some Indians frowning upon intimacy in public.

The complainant alleged that women felt offended after watching the scene and it promoted vulgarity in society, especially among youth.

John Abraham backed out in the last minute and didn't participate in the soccer match held between Bollywood celebrities and Malaysian ministers at Global Indian Film Awards (GIFA) in Kuala Lumpur . John, being a crazy football fan, was expected to play in the match on behalf of the team of Bollywood stars. But as he came to know that Salman was part of the team, he bowed out.
