Roma Want Tavano - Agent
The Italian player is finding it very difficult to break into the first eleven of Valencia since joining the club this past summer.
Francesco Tavano抯 adventure in Spain might have already come to an end, as the player抯 agent, Stefano Guercini, has revealed the interest of various Italian clubs, including Roma who need to add more firepower upfront in order to fight for the Scudetto.
揤alencia does not intend to sell him at a low price after paying him around 10 million Euros in summer.
揥e might find an agreement for a loan with a buy-out option at the end of the season, but it抯 difficult that he returns to Empoli. His wages are within Roma抯 reach, my client is a fan of Totti and would be very happy to play alongside him.
揑f Roma go forward in the Champions League, they might hurry up to try and obtain the player already in January. |

Primera Liga Preview: Espanyol - Valencia
Espanyol and Valencia both need a victory on Sunday when they meet in the Estadi Olimpic, but for very different reasons.
Ernesto Valverde's team maybe unbeaten in seven matches, but that does not reveal the struggle that they have endured since the start of the new season.
Points have been hard-earned and there has been off-field problems that have created unwanted headlines.
Setting The Tone
An opening day defeat by Catalan rivals N?tic was swiftly followed by a drubbing at Real Zaragoza as the Parakeets believed that they were set for another year battling against the drop.
Things brightened slightly when a win over Celta lifted the team into mid-table, but a defeat the following week has been followed by four consecutive draws.
Among that quartet of encounters, there have been mixed performances as the Blanc i Blau were jeered off after a tepid goalless game at home to Osasuna, before a goalkeeping masterclass from Carlos Kameni earned a point at Villarreal.
While Valverde has kept the team out of the bottom three, they are currently 16th, some of the performances have been less than convincing.
In Europe though, Espanyol have shown their true capabalities as they defeated Artmedia over two legs to qualify for the group stage of the UEFA Cup, where they won their opening encounter in Prague against Sparta two weeks ago.
Speaking Out
Off the pitch, things threatened to boil over when Luis Garc? took a swipe at the coaching staff by announcing that he was not fit.
Valverde was not so annoyed by the player's beliefs, but more by the fact that he had the confidence make an announcement to the press rather than keep it inside the club.
The coach's feeling was that Garc? was being supported by a clique within the dressing room that had a hotline to the board and a little too much say for his liking.
This time, though, the group, that is rumoured to be led by Ra? Tamudo and Ivan De la Pe?, was rebuffed by president Daniel S?chez Llibre, who supported Valverde over them.
Tamudo pleaded his innocence and defended De la Pe? from the charges, but the truth was that nobody in the local media was surprised by the news.
Injury List
For Valencia, the start to the season has been marked by just one thing; injuries.
Every club has its fair share of knocks, but los Ch? have lost several key players to long-term injuries and in recent weeks the performances have begun to be affected.
Asier Del Horno has yet to play a game for the club after joining from Chelsea, as he picked up an Achilles problem before the World Cup, while Rub? Baraja has played just one game before suffering a torn thigh muscle.
Vicente has an ongoing ankle complaint, Carlos Marchena is out until after Christmas and David Albelda is also a long-term victim of the same injury.
The list goes on with Francesco Tavano not having played since his move from Empoli with a hamstring problem and Jaime Gavil? suffered cruciate ligament damage last weekend against Racing and has been ruled out for several months.
Moving Backwards
Having made an impressive opening to the season with three straight wins, coach Quique S?chez Flores has watched as his side have slipped into inconsistency.
Last weekend reverse in Santander was their second in three matches and saw them slip down to fifth.
In midweek Valencia fought back in freezing conditions to draw 2-2 in Donetsk against Shakhtar and maintain their unbeaten run in the group stages of the competition.
TEAM NEWS
Espanyol: David Garc? is out until January after injuring ligaments in his knee.
Valencia: There is some good news for the visitors as David Navarro is back in full training and Baraja is slowly being re-introduced.
PREDICTION
If Espanyol play to their full potential then they could pick a much-needed victory here against an under-strength Valencia side. The problem is that the Blanc i Blau are just as likely to fail to click. Los Ch? could well be tired after their midweek outing and with so many injuries, Flores' ability to rotate his squad is limited. With Espanyol having drawn their last four games though, the best bet is for both sides to take a point each.
