GACKT, Nishikawa Takanori, and DAIGO: to appear on "Bokura no Jidai"
Musicians GACKT, Nishikawa Takanori, and DAIGO are to appear on the April 25 broadcast of Fuji TV's talk show "Bokura no Jidai" (Our Time, 7AM-730 GMT+9). GACKT and Nishikawa Takanori are old time friends, while it is said that DAIGO often visits GACKT's house, socializing even in their private time. No further details about the content of the show are as of yet known, but the preview that was aired on the 18th included topics of the artists' love lives and views on marriage.
GACKT formally announced his transfer to Avex last April 17, and will be releasing his first single under the said agency on June 16, along with a nationwide Zepp tour spanning 6 locations and 24 performances. Nishikawa Takanori, on the other hand, held his first large-scale open-air rock fest called "Inazuma Rokku Fesu" (Lightning Rock Fest), in his hometown in Shiga Prefecture last year, and another one is to be held this 2010. This will be a two-day event (September 18-19) at the Shibafu Plaza, Karasuma Peninsula, Kusatsu City, Shiga Prefecture. Meanwhile, DAIGO's band BREAKERZ released their first acoustic mini-album last April 7.
Just the other day, GACKT had announced his moving to record and talent agency AVEX.
"On GACKT's side as well as on AVEX's side, their matching efforts to create entertainment is what they we will be pursuing in building the one view on the "one and only GACKT" with the right staff to do so. The attention on the artist will be amplified more than before, building up more experience as well, with a greater amount of excitement. Please look forward to it!"
In 2006 GACKT had been going on his very first Asian Tour and by now he has been broadening his activities by distributing more a total of 224 songs in more 22 countries.
As AVEX is having head quarters in Asia and American Hawaii, GACKT's moving to the company seems to be a new step in the direction of his activities overseas, as AVEX is also greatly focusing on global promotion.
Recently, GACKT is also staring in the coffee commercial for [ワンダ 金の微糖 / WONDA Kin no Bitou] together with Karasawa Toshiaki. In his part, GACKT is in an important meeting before he needs to excuse himself to [a man's golden time] with WONDA coffee. It is a rather impressive CM for GACKT, who is usually so very cool and is shown from a different angle this time.
On June 16th, he will also release his first single under the new management, right after he started his new Japan wide tour on June 10th with the dates as stated below.
GACKT Appearing in a Self Made Outfit as The Evil Character!
At the special event held for the 10th anniversary on "hangame" online portal site's RPG [Dragon Nest], GACKT had been the Special Guest and KOKIA had been presenting the theme song for it.
As he had been not only responsible for the theme song, but also the voice of [ベルスカード / Berusukado] he appeared in the same outfit as the character, hand made.
As he stood on stage, he spoke in the same voice about the vilain [I thought it would be best if the character is seen with his completely evil conscious. When looking at him from the outside, he has his very own sense of justice and the passion for it, following his own words. On April 25th, GACKT, Nishikawa Takanori and DAIGO haven been guests in the talk show program [Bokura no Jidai / Our Time]. Apart from being (former) Visual-kei artists, what are other things the three of them can relate with?
The meeting between GACKT and Nishikawa was certainly of the different kind. As the two of them hadn't had the chance to talk for a long time, their fans came to think, that GACKT actually hated Nishikawa. However, in the program they appeared in together, they really seemed to feel a lot of sympathy towards each other. When it came to DAIGO, however, the two stated that they were still a little shy towards him, which left DAIGO greatly surprised as such, using his signature phrase "Maji suka (Are you serious)?".
During the discussion Nishikawa came up with the question, whether there was the wish to get married among them, to which GACKT revealed, that he had been married once when he was 20. (This was something neither Nishikawa nor DAIGO apparently knew and shocked them quite a bit! Between GACKT and Nishikawa the discussion came up, whether GACKT had told him, or not - very much like "I told you!" vs. "No you didn't!!" (laughs))
