transport in KK.....

airport to town is RM 20

town to airport it's RM 15  ,  journey ia about 15 minutes.


there are buses going to outlying towns and villages.

as i was fighting for time i took a taxi.

the is a big week end market in KOTA BELUD...it cost RM10 a head.
kalo charter taxi it is RM40
journey took about 1.5 hours.

semalam i charter a taxi it cost me RM200 for 7 hours.and i was supposed to visit 3 places and the driver was supposed to sent me to the airport.in the end i was only in the taxi for about 4.5 hours only.
i took a taxi to the foot of mount kinabalu.....ai yoh ....after taking the travel pill....i was still uncomfortable......mak ooi...the road was winding for about 1 hour or so.

first time,i feel nausea.my wife pun sama.

the guy was going at 100 km per hour at the slopes...it was scary.....

the road pulak was 2 lane.....the car at the opposite road was too close for comfort.

the weekend market (pasar tamu) in kk

yang kat gaya street...nothing much.ada lah makcik2 jual sayur etc etc.the place is not so big.yang satu road pilak...macam jual pasar malam.go buy your souvenirs here,it's cheaper than in the mountains.

i prefer the week end  at satok market in kucing,yang ni banyak varieties.

PASAR TAMU IN KOTA BELUD....yang ni i reached there at 10.45 in the morning....
hari pulak dah nak hujan,so i didn't get to see much.very interesting,the way they bentang the barang2 on the floor...pakai daun besar.will post the photos soon.

yang ni pun programme ada sau sau sikit.....instead of going straight to kota belud,the taxi made a detour up a mountain village.taxi driver pulak made a 20 minute stop.
in all i wasted about 45 minutes.

Last Friday Chic ke Jakarta. Naik Valuair. First flight out, at 8.40 am. Tolong bawak balik my fren punya barang. Dia punya luggage aje dah 50 kg. Adoiiii, dah kena pikul satu bag on board sebab dah excess. 16kg of excess baggage. $5 per kg. Kena bayar $80.

Sampai Jkt 9.20am. On flight diorang kasi epok2 kentang. Tapi sebelum tu kita sempat makan roti la sikit. Air pulak u have a choice of coffee, tea or water. Soft drinks kena beli. I think $2 per can. Sampai sana my fren and Pak Supir nya picked us up. Dia kata mesti macet, so as not to waste time, kita gi makan dulu. Dia bawak kita gi makan nasi padang yg mak dia recommend. Dia ngan supir dia tak tau pat mana exactly. Cuma tau nama kedai dia ada Garuda. So we found one, masuk, duduk, diorang dah letak lauk semua, mak dia call cakap kita at the wrong place. Dia nak keluar balik sey. Kesian diorang dah hidang. So kita cakap tak yah la. No harm trying this one. Pada kita sedap makanan dia. But dia tak suka. Nasi makan setengah tak habis. Dia kata tempat lagi satu lagi sedap. Tapi pada kita dah power la.

Lepas tu kita ke Mangga Dua. Best jugak. Jenjalan tengok barang cheap luck banyak. Dvd diorang baru 5000 rupiah. Less than a $1. My fren borong. Kita tak brani nak bawak masuk walaupun murah sangat.

Lepas tu dia ajak kita gi minum air kelapa puan. Its fermented la. Dia kata diorang biarkan busuk. so mula2 kita tak berani minum. Typical la. Mati2 dia suruh try. Kita try terus order sorang satu. Punyala sedap. Lemak and very sweet. Lepas tu kita gi jenjalan lagi. Pegi mall pat Senayan (kalau tak silap). Chic menggila ngan baju kebaya diorang. Designer ones. Dapat beli 2 pasang. Dia punya telekong pun punyala lawa2. Harga berjuta2 rupiah. Kira beratus la jugak.

By the time kita check in hotel kita pat Ibis Slipi, dah nak dekat pukul 8 malam. Janji to meet my ex colleague pat MU cafe. Tengok nephew dia punya concert. Nephew dia in kumpulan Nidji. It's up and coming. They are famous for lagu 'Sudah'. I like that song and 'Hapus aku'. Very nice. Timing very good. Chic tengok on MTV Jus yg diorang akan adakan concert that Friday, terus sms my ex colleague, cakap nak pegi. So he arranged. Walaupun tickets dah sold out. So sampai hotel, check in, mandi and freshen up. My fren came to pick us up at 9.30pm. Sampai pat luar MU cafe, diorang mintak kita the invite. I called my EC, dia keluar bawak kita masuk. Terus pegi pat tepi stage, dia kenalkan ngan the band. He told them we are fans from Singapore, came all the way to see them....hahahaha....needless to say diorang kembang ah. So kitorang dilayan macam VIPs. Salam kita satu persatu sambil tunduk2 cakap terima kasih sebab sudi datang tengok diorang perform. Mak, bapak and even one grandmother also salam kita, ambik gambar kita, video kitorang berbual ngan members of the band lagik. Saper yg star ni ek.....:nerd:...anyways, bila the intro was made for them, we said good luck sebab memang the keyboardist (cute dia ni), cakap dia nervous. Tengah seram sejuk. Sekali lagik, diorang salam sambil tunduk2. Kelakar sey...anyways they were great. The singer was very entertaining and got great stage presence.

My fren janji to come pick us up at 10 am. By then, another fren not ready. Adehh...my fren yg ini needs at least 2 hours to get ready. Tak leh angkat la. Darah up aje. Anyways, terpaksa call my Indon fren tell her come at 11. Tapi dia dah hantar supir dia fetch us. So pasal my fren yg itu lambat, kita tak makan b'fast. Pak supir dah tunggu pat bawah dari pukul 10 also. Kesian. Terus kita ke Taman Anggerek mall. Jenjalan pat situ. Quite upmarket la the mall. We had coffee at coffee bean pat sana, while waiting for the supir to pick my fren from home. Dia sampai, kita jenjalan sikit, then dia ajak kita lunch makan seafood. So we left for a 45 min journey.

Tempat dia very ulu. It's like in the slumps area. But ramai pulak yg pegi sana makan. Surrounding kotor sey. Halfway there my gf called the resto and ordered our food. Kita sampai aje, food pun dihidangkan. Fuyoooo, udang dia punya la besar. Besar dari tapak tangan kita. My gf pegi order 2 for each of us. Chic makan tu aje dah kekenyangan. Dia order, ketam in padang sauce, lalapan, ikan, sotong, kangkong belachan. Belachan dia ketul-ketul dia campakkan. One of my frens ingatkan its daging sebab memang nampak macam daging, sekali masiiiiiinnnn.....:lol....muka cramp sey kelakar....Overall food was fantastic...sambal belachan diorang powerrrrr...

After that kita gi jenjalan pat this place EX mall and Plaza Indonesia. Dia sebelah HRC. Very nice. Upmarket jugak. Pat situ kita borong cd artis Indon. Paling mahal $8. Pat sini paling murah $17. So I bought quite alot. Apa yg takde beli. My fren sampai pening. Kita pegi HRC punya merchandise shop, tengok2.

Lepas tu ke Plaza Semanggi. My Indon fren kept talking about donuts from J Co. Dia kata its like US punya Crispy Creme.Lain dari yg lain. Sedap. Must try. Chic cakap pasal Dunkin donuts dia kata lepas try J Co, Dunkin donuts is nothing. So ok la we went. She wasn't exaggerating. Dia punya queue, mak aiiiii, berbelit2. There are 4 staff stationed outside just to guide the que. But it was quite fast la. And yes the donuts was out of this world. All agreed, mesti nak bawak balik some for family n frens. Lepas tu kita jenjalan lagik...

2nd day ni, kita balik hotel siang sikit. To rest and pack sikit2 sebab besok nya bercadang nak check out early and go out rounding lagik. So kita rest and my fren came to pick us up at 8 pm, kita gi Kemang for dinner. Kemang ni macam Holland V. Alot of restos and cafes. Quite upmarket jugak la. Place to see and be seen sort off la.

We got back at 11+pm and tengok sinetron....best....tidur pukul 3 pagi....

Today my Indon fren makan brunch ngan family. So we have the supir to ourselves. He came to pick us up at 10.30am. Kita habiskan packing and terus check out. Punyalah berat bag kitorang. Rasa macam tak shopping banyak. Tapi cd2 yg berlambak tu berat jugak. Sempat beli tabloid mags dari hotel punya drugstore.

Pak supir datang terus ke Mangga Dua lagik. My fren nak beli oleh2 untuk family dan kenkawan. So beli Bingka Ambon, kacang, selipar bermanik2, tudung dan macam2 lagik....

Lepas tu balik ke mall yg jual donuts J Co. Kita lunch dulu pat this Japanese restaurant called Kin No Taki. Ambience very nice. Duduk bersila. Tak lama gitu my fren came to join us. After lunch gi beli donuts and went back to my fren's house to repack apa yg kita shopping hari tu.

Rumah dia punya la besaaaaaaarrrrrr. Ada 3 maid dan 2 supir. 6 kereta. Dia bawak kita tour rumah dia. Master bedroom dia, besar dari my 5 room HDB flat. Walk in closet sebesar 3 room flat. Mak aiiiiiii.....tercengang jap kitorang. Katil diorang lagi besar dari American king. 5,6 orang boleh tido. Aiyoyo....macam jakun siot kitorang....hehehe....kita relak pat sana sampai kul 6. Flight 8.20pm. Takut macet so kita berangkat kul 6. Mak dia belikan kitorang tempeh, kek lapis,  sayur asam dan buah salak suruh bawak balik. Alhamdulillah rezeki. Said goodbye to her brother and cousins. Terus ke airport.

Sampai airport, biasa la, unload, said goodbye to my fren, thanked her profusely, gave the driver some money and we proceeded to check in our luggage. Excess baggage of 15kg. Tapi Alhamdulillah, the guy who checked us in said its ok, just this once, sambil tersenyum. Alhamdulillah....kita sempat makan nasi goreng pat airport, then boarded the plane. On board they served mee with chicken. Chic tanya catering dari mana, dia kata Singapore, so Chic tak makan. Out of Singapore, unless u've requested Muslim meal, it's not halal. Kalau catering out of Jakarta, no problem. But being a budget airline, no special meal requests are entertained.

Sampai Changi airport, que punyala panjang. Kita keluar, my hubby and my frens punya families semua dah tunggu. Macam balik umrah sey kecoh semua.....

So thats my report on Jakarta trip. Kita tak banyak ambik gambar. Chic langsung tak bawak camera. Tapi my other frens ada. So bila diorang pass pada Chic, I will post here apa yg patut. Overall I loved Jakarta except for the massive traffic jams 24/7.....

wow bestnyer baca Chics punya holiday report...seronokkan dpt sopping dorang punya kebaya.. one thing i like ant dorang punya baju kebaya.. very exclusive unlike in here. selalu gitu.. if u can get better designs w gd price.. i tink it's worth buying....:love:..
