Jericho Rosales returns to acting but says he's still a musician
Matagal-tagal din ang pagkawala ni Jericho Rosales sa telebisyon simula nang magdesisyon siyang mag-focus muna sa kanyang pagiging musikero. Matapos ang halos isang taon na bakasyon, muling mahuhusgahan ng mga manonood ang kanyang galing sa pagganap bilang Rocky sa bagong teleserye ng ABS-CBN, ang Kahit Isang Saglit.

Sa kanyang pagbabalik-telebisyon, nasabi ni Jericho na sobrang excited na siya sa pagsisimula ng Kahit Isang Saglit.
"Kinakabahan kaming lahat para sa first airing namin. Lalo na ako, kasi first soap ko ulit after a long, long time. Basta very excited ako and very positive ako," ani Jericho sa press conference ng naturang teleserye kagabi, Setyembre 4, sa 13th floor ng ELJ Bldg. sa ABS-CBN compound.

the delivery of lines were soo clear and the expression was soo real
i could feel garie's frustration to rocky, and i could feel rocky's pain!

HOW KAHIT ISANG SAGLIT STARTED

November, 2007 - when I first stepped as the headwriter for this Malaysia co prod project. The Star Cinema creative group presented to me the story. Then we brainstormed again to finalize the story. "The Gangster's Daughter" was the initial title of this series.
At that time, my first question was who's gonna play the roles of Eliza and Mike Santillan? (those were the original names of Rocky & Garie - kaya for a time I think it was published na "Eliza" ang title ng Malaysia sa series na ito) For Mike, the names of Echo, JohnLloyd and Derek Ramsay were mentioned and considered. For Eliza - WE HAD NO IDEA. But i will be needing pictures of at least "a peg" for my story presentation to the management. And Chie Floresca, one of Star Cinema's CDG's, presented me pictures (taken from the internet) of several Malaysian actresses and models. And there she was - Miss Carmen Soo. Of all the pictures presented to me, she's the most beautiful and I believe will have an effect on the Filipino viewers.
And so I did my presentation with Echo and Carmen on my slides. Inang (Olive Lamasan) Malou Santos, Tammy Dinopol liked the tandem. After they approved the story, I formed my creative team:
Denise O'hara - my writer for Sana'y Wala Nang Wakas, Hiram, Sa Piling Mo, Ysabella - wow, pretty much all of my projects she's there. Pamangkin siya ni Mario O'hara.
Christine Novicio and Mike Dagnalan - pareho silang tine-train na mga bagong writers ng ABS. First time kong makakatrabaho sila.
Rafa Santos - classmate ko naman siya sa Marilou Diaz Film Institute. Anak ni Atty. Katrina Legarda.
Brainstorm, brainstorm, brainstorm.
December 2007 - we had a meeting with the executives of Double Vision. And we presented to them the story and who were our pegs for the Eliza and Mike character. When we showed them the pictures of Echo, Lloydie and Derek, the Double Vision execs picked Derek. Kasi yung macho appeal, at sa kanila mas guapo si Derek. Although may pagdadalawang isip din sa kanila, kasi kilala na si Echo at si Lloydie sa Malaysia. Kaya iniwan nila ang decision sa amin.
Then for Eliza's character, when we picked - based solely on pictures - Carmen, hindi naman sila nag-object. Though they presented options just in case hindi mag-work - whether schedule or kung hindi namin siya magustuhan once we get to meet her. Pero dun sa mga na-present kasi nila na mga actresses, at nung sinabi nila na theater actress si Carmen and done several tv shows sa Malaysia, we're pretty much settled with Carmen kahit di pa namin siya nakikita in person.
January 2008 - Manong Gilbert entered the picture. Siya ang magdi-direk ng soap. I'm happy with the news, i've worked with him at "Ikaw Ang Lahat Sa Akin". At creative din ako noon sa "Kahit Isang Saglit", na first film niya. Ekstra din ako sa pelikulang 'yun hehe.
February 2008. The whole creative & production team of ABS-CBN flew to Malaysia to research, hunt for location and meet the Malaysian actors. Carmen, Hans Isaac, Soosan Hoh and Louisa Chong had a reading for their respective roles. We found Carmen really charming, at sobra ang appeal sa camera, sure na talaga kami siya lang ang pwedeng gumanap for the role. We didn't even meet the other actresses na option na binibigay sa amin ng Double Vision.
Although, muntik pang hindi namin makuha si Carmen, kasi ang dami dami niyang commitments na babangga sa schedule ng shoot ng entire series na ayaw pakawalan ni Carmen. And seemingly the Double Vision execs hindi siya ma-convince. But we talked to her secretly behind the back of the Double Vision execs (hehe), nakakatawa kasi TFC ang ginamit namin kay Carmen na pang-attract. We told her this show will not only be seen in the Philippines, Malaysia and Singapore, her name will be known through out the world - GRABE talagang pitch ang ginawa namin just to convince her. And so before we went back to Manila, she agreed to play the role. And we're all so happy.
March 2008 - di kami happy sa mga pangalang Eliza at Mike. And so we changed the names to Rocky and Garie. - honestly pagbibigay tribute ko ito sa possibly one of the best love teams to ever grace the Philippine show business. Pangalan sila nina Kristine and Echo sa pelikula na sinulat ko rin "Ngayong Nandito Ka". the names Rocky&Garie became the working title din of the series before we changed it to "A Time For Us".
April 2008 - nagsimula nang mag-shoot sa Malaysia at sinimulan na ang series na ito.
At ngayon September 15, 2008 - makikita ninyo na ang pagsisimula sa telebisyon ng aming ilang buwang pinaghirapan at patuloy na pinaghihirapan pa na "Kahit Isang Saglit" - PARA PO SA INYONG LAHAT ITO. At bilang pag-alala sa memory ng aming pinakakamamahal na direktor si MANONG GILBERT PEREZ. |

..anyhow it's not that hard to understand tagalog but just that I need to praktis speaking if I want to brush up my tagalog...eheheheh
