Charts: Yamapi, Miliyah Kato
The #1 single this week was the latest solo release from NEWS member Tomohisa Yamashita. Titled "One in a million," the song sold 161,000 copies. With this, all three of his solo singles have charted at #1. Including his albums and singles with NEWS, plus his collaborative singles, he now has 20 consecutive works at the top of the charts.
Almost all of the other top ten singles were new releases, starting with Yusuke at #2, Namie Amuro at #3, and Gackt at #4. A collaboration of Miki Imai, Kentaro Kobuchi, Tomoyasu Hotei, and Shunsuke Kuroda was #5. The bottom half of the list included S/mileage, WaT, Sphere, and access.
On the album charts, Miliyah Kato earned #1 with "HEAVEN," selling 151,000 copies. This is her second album to top the charts, though the first one was a best album.
A "Full Metal Alchemist" compilation took #2, followed in order by VAMPS and lecca. Fujifabric charted at #7, while an "Angel Beats!" soundtrack was #9. Rounding out the list was Maki Goto, who has not appeared in the top ten since releasing a best album nearly five years ago.
On the DVD charts, B'z took #1 with 93,000 copies of their latest concert DVD. They now have seven consecutive releases at the top of the overall DVD charts, tying them for the current record with KinKi Kids.

GACKT held the last stage of his national tour!
Superstar artist, GACKT, recently held the last stage of his nationwide tour, “Kirameki otoko juku (煌☆雄兎狐塾)”, on the 29th at Zepp Tokyo. The last stage was titled, “Kirameki otokojuku ~danjyo konyoku mizugi matsuri~ (煌☆雄兎狐塾 ～男女混欲美濡戯祭～)”, and had a dress code where everybody had to show up in bathing suits with beach sandals.
GACKT sang 16 songs, and told the audience, “It is really important that you can enjoy this kind of stupid event. You will be able to have a good effect on other people if you can be ’serious’ on both vacation and business.”
This live performance will be broadcasted on WOWOW (the first private satellite broadcasting and pay TV station).

GACKT’s new puppy, Dolce, dies
Previously, we reported about GACKT’s new puppies Angie and Dolce, however, according to GACKT’s new blog entry, Dolce died suddenly on October 10th.
GACKT is currently in Osaka for his stage performances, and he received the sad news while there. Below is what GACKT wrote on his blog.
“Yesterday, I received a phone call that told me Dolce died during the performance in Osaka. It seems like it was a sudden death, despite the operation, he fell a sleep. I don’t know what to say. I could not even be there for him. It doesn’t matter if it’s a human or a dog, to lose your family is terribly sad. I heard Angie kept crying. My heart is in pain with a lot of thoughts.”
Rest in peace, Dolce.

GACKT’S Hollywood movie ‘BUNRAKU’ to be screened at Tokyo International Film Festival
The Tokyo International Film Festival has announced that GACKT’s first Hollywood movie titled ‘Bunraku,’ directed by Guy Moshe has been added as a special screening to the line-up for the 23rd Tokyo International Film Festival.
Bunraku screening is scheduled on October 27th and 29th. Advance tickets are priced at 1500 yen (approximately 18.50 USD) and tickets at the door are priced at 1800 yen (approximately 22.00 USD.)
The movie is scheduled for release in December and GACKT will play the role of Yoshi. According to IMDB, the premise of the movie is: “The story of a young man who has spent his life searching for revenge only to find himself up against a bigger challenge than he originally bargained for.”

GACKT's Aggressive Tour Final on DVD!
This summer, the "YELLOW FRIED CHICKENz" have been holding the tour "GACKT YELLOW FRIED CHICKENz Kirameki Otokojuku Danjo Konyoku Hadaka Matsuri", which started from Zepp Tokyo and while touring around Japan, also lead to GACKT's first European performances during the "GACKT COMING TO EUROPE 2010 ATTACK OF THE 'YELLOW FRIED CHICKENz' " tour.
GACKT has certainly been "attacking" his year 2010!
Moreover, the tour final of it all has been hurriedly announced to be released as a DVD. Next year in February, a first press limited edition, a regular edition and a version, limited to the mu-mo shop will be released. Each version comes with a number of extras, for example, two versions will come with a micro SD, showing the live performances from a different angle.
"You can buy at least three DVDs!", is the concept and that's why buying three is a real must! ;)
