diorang dah ada imej so cuma 'restore' back ke imej tu.  tak yah nak re-install segala programs macam office suite, erp, settings, etc.

i think, what you're doing here is not ghosting, but rather backing up your data. if you want to create a ghost image. click on Tools, and then Copy My Hard Drive. you can read more about cloning hd by reading norton ghost manual, subject #11.

i'm not sure if you can do it over the network with home version. but, enterprise version for sure (and more powerful) as you can broadcast the image to several PCs at once.

nk tanye yg pakar..misalnye dh backup spt pix atas nie,camne nak pindahkan ke pc lain???.. misalnye pc yg I buat backup nie nama PCA..then I nak humban semue yg dh backup nie ke PCB,wat should I start on PCB nie???.. thanx in advance

aku nak copy satu hdd dari pc A ke pc B...bukan backup namanya kan?  aku nak copy jer...jadikan kedua2 pc tu sama

Macam yang aku bagitau kat atas sana, ko tak payah install Norton Ghost kat setiap PC
pun nak guna Ghost ni, tapi ko boleh guna D0S executable( boot from Floppy Disk)..ko kena
download Norton Ghost Version 2003 ( check ur Inbox) sebab version 12 yang aku bagi haritu
tak support D0S.

1) CARA CREATE GHOST.EXE

    a) kat Ghost Utilities / Norton Ghost Boot Wizard dan pilih macam kat bawah dan click next.


      

     b) yang kat bawah ni, ko kena pilih sendiri, aku tak tau Ext Disk ko support apa..
   

      


     c) Click Next aje, dan jangan lupa insert Floppy Disk sebab file Ghost.exe
         akan di transfer ke sana..nanti kat setiap PC yang ko nak buat ghost
         ko kena setkan First Boot from Floppy kat BI0S. Dan file Ghost.exe tu ko kena
         copy paste (selain dia ada kat Floppy disk) ke Ext Hd.


2) Cara Backup computer ke Ghost Image

    a) Pilih Backup kat Ghost Basic dan pilih macam ni..

      

   b) kat Image File name..taip nama apa yang ko suka then click Browse
       ko pilih la External Disk.

   c) ko click Next aje sampai computer ko restart dan mulakan
       process ghost image tu.


3) Cara nak boot from Floppy Disk.

    Macam biasa, ko restart computer dan PC ko akan dapat detect
    bootable Floppy Disk dan ko ikut aje arahan yang tertera
    kat sana dan pilih floder yang ko dah simpan ghost image tu
    dan recover. siap..

okey..lepas pilih recover,how to retrieve the backup file from PCA td tu..adakah perlu burn backup td tu ke cd dulu atau kalau x burn ke cd,is there any other options? ..satu lg,backup file from PCA tu size kira

tp skang dah lupe cara nak wat...aku guna hard disk

Saiz 9GB dia akan automatically split file kepada 2 keping DVD masa

backup proses..tak ada masalah tu.

Cara backup file 12GB tu,boleh backup ke DVD guna 3 keping DVD atau ko
backup ke external Hard Disk aje.. ko nak backup guna DVD ke apa? kalau
guna DVD nanti aku ajar..kalau nak guna external Hard Disk , cara nya ada kat post

apa step by step dia kalau nak clone untuk server to client? load kat client dulu or server dulu.. nak pilih apa? ada screenshot? anything?

for symantec ghost 8 enterprise edition Windows XP Professional Deployment             create ghost client boot disc - with bootable CD/DVD 1.  launch Ghost Boot Wizard. 2.  select Network Boot Package and click Next. 3.  check Show All Drivers (Advanced) box, select your network card driver and click Next. 4.  if it's not in the list, you need to add it. otherwise, proceed to step #8. 5.  click Add, select NDIS2 Driver and click OK. 6.  under NDIS Driver tab, click Setup and browse to your ndis2 DOS driver folder. click OK. click OK to accept all default values under NDIS Driver tab. 7.  type the name of your network card driver and click Next. 8.  under DOS Version, select Use PC-DOS. click Next. 9.  select Symantec Ghost. under Program Location, leave Ghost.exe default value. click Next. 10.  for FireWire and USB Options, leave the boxes uncheck. click Next. 11.  select DHCP will assign the IP settings. if you don't have dhcp server in your environment, select The IP settings will be statically defined. click Next. 12.  under Select the target for the boot package, select Create ISO Image option. click Browse to select location where you want to put your iso image and name it (for example: c:\gho8_client.iso). check the Support for creating bootable CDs/DVD box. click Next. 13.  it will show you review page. check and make sure you're satisfy. if not, click Back and make necessary changes. otherwise, click Next and an .iso image will be created. 14.  click Finish to close Ghost Boot Wizard. 15.  use your burning software to burn the .iso image to cd/dvd. if you have 4 computers that you want to image at the same time, burn 4 copies, as each one will need one.

for symantec ghost 8 enterprise edition Windows XP Professional Deployment             create image 1.  prepare a computer that you would like to create an image from. 2.  install and configure all common software (software that each computer will need) on the image computer, run Disk Cleanup and defrag the hard drive. 3.  use Microsoft Sysprep to create the configuration file: refer to Windows XP: Automating deployment using Sysprep on how to do it. 4.  in sysprep, make sure you choose Reseal, MiniSetup and Shutdown for Shutdown: option; not Reboot nor Quit. 5.  once the image machine has been completely shutdown, pop in ghost client cd/dvd in cd/dvd drive, turn the computer on (make sure the computer is still connected to the network) and boot to cd/dvd. 6.  while waiting for the image computer to boot up, go to the server and launch GhostCast Server. 7.  for Session Name, type in your ghosting session (for example: ses1). 8.  select Create Image. 9.  for Image File, click on Browse, and browse to the location where you want to save your ghost image (for example: D:\Image\D630WSP2.gho) and click Save. make sure you have enough space to save the image (depending on how many software i have installed in the image, i usually set aside between 4-6 GB of free space). you don't want to pre-install too many software as you want your image to be as general as possible. 10.  next, select Disk. 11.  click Accept Clients. 12.  go back to your image computer. 13.  ghost client should have started by now. 14.  scroll down to GhostCast and select Multicast. 15.  enter your ghostcast session name (for example: ses1). 16.  Discovery Method should be Automatic and click OK. 17.  select the partition you want to image (if you have more than one partitions) on the disk and click OK. 18.  under Compress image file?, select High. 19.  under Proceed with Image File Creation?, select Yes. 20.  when the imaging process is done, you'll see notification on both, the server and the client computer. 20.  on client computer, click Continue, exit from ghost and take the ghost client cd/dvd out of the cd/dvd drive.

1) misalnye I buat backup,then I format balik pc..sebelum format tue that means pc I xde windows kan..ok..camne I nak restore file2 yg I backup tadi masuk ke dlm pc yg belum ade windows tue..

soaln 2:
misalnye windows xp I yg Home version,boleh x restore segala bakup gune ghost backup windows XP Profesional punye??..

ghost ni maknanya copy harddisk C:\ tu kedalam cdr/dvdr. apa saja yg ko copy akan di restore kembali kedalam harddisk baru (atau baru format) dengan se-ada nya (as it is).

kalo tak silap, ko leh pilih samada nk backup to ghost system only ataupun backup seluruh system dan data dlm hddisk tu.

kalo ko backup XP home, ko akan dpt xp home la jugak.

Ghost itu nanti ko kena buat bootable dvd dulu..
cara restore macam ko format PC juga..reboot DVD
dan ikut arahan on screen.

kalau guna external hardisk boleh ke?mcm mana kalau dah install deepfreeze pastu tiba2 "hang" dan tak boleh uninstall..pastu nak guna ghost tapi tak install langsung dalam pc tu cuma ada backup dvd ghost atau external hardisk dari pc lain ...boleh ke buat kat pc yg ada deepfreeze tu dan mcm mana caranya?cara mcm nak format ke?berapa lama ambil masa?

dan mcm mana nak buat bootable dari usb external?
