Abandoned project set to be revived

WHEN former students of the Convent Seremban see pictures of theabandoned site where their school once stood, they cannot help but feelsad.
They have fond memories of the school and although some have claimedthat its location in the centre of town worsened the traffic problemsin the area, they find it difficult to imagine that conditions could beany better, once a shopping mall is built there.
To those who passed through the corridors of the school during their formative years, it was a significant landmark in the town.

Now a pool, soon to be a shopping mall

ALL is not lost for the football pitch-sized pool which was once the site of the Convent of the Infant Jesus Seremban.
Developer CSB Holdings Sdn Bhd (a wholly owned subsidiary of MUIProperties Berhad) plans to convert the 4.8-acre piece of land into ashopping complex.
MUI properties division vice-president Helen Ho said plans arealready under way to transform the abandoned site into a five-storeyshopping complex, complete with lifts and escalators and withentertainment at the top floors such as a cinema, or bowling alley, andfood outlets.
Metrojaya, a subsidiary of MUI Group, is likely to be an anchor tenant.
揥e did not buy the site (in November 2005) just to leave it there.We have been cautious as many have shown concern for the area, but weare looking at starting construction this year, |

Dari dulu aku dengar nak wat projek baru kat kolam olimpik nie..tapi tak jalan2 pon..jadik kolam nyamuk
aedes jelah kekdahnyer..Bangunan depan KGV tue pun samer. Dh jadik tempat drug addict lepak2..

MASALAHNYE....
kolam tue x leh kambus balik sbb ade mata air...mata air tue dorang baru dapt tau mse korek untuk cucuk besi kat situ, mata air tue pecah....then kau taulah mata air kan semulajadi mane leh kambus balik....so jadi la kolam......
wartawan pon kena tau kenape xleh kambus....bukan ckp terbiar...maselah besi dalm tue dah karat, air x leh kuar |
