andria...well i suggest u...go to NZ first...one of my friend da keje kat sana kat fruit factory...a girl..go alone there...but with working holiday visa lah....u can stay there up to 12 months..and then if you r lucky u can work there more than a year if the company like you...the currency is not so besar cam kat UK...but..it is enuff for you..and one more thing...when u stay in NZ for more than 12 months..it is easy for you to apply working holiday visa to UK(not applicable for malaysian right now if you not staying in UK/OZ)..my friend said,she can earn almost NZD2000 per month(i'm not sure..but byk lah)..i pnah email NZ job agency few times,and they said most of the company (if you want a better job,office job) will hire the foreigner if they come for interview in NZ..NZ have a lot opportunity for people like us..but be careful,kat airport they r very strict...if they can found you come to NZ to look for a job..then...they will send back you to malaysia...so..dont forget to scan all your certificate..document and upload to internet...then you can download it again when u reach NZ...

rambo, when you mentioned that working holiday visa ni tak applicable for m'sians who are not currently staying in UK/NZ, maknenye kalo m'sians yg dok kat m'sia & apply that visa kat britain embassy kat m'sia , mmg takkan dpt working holiday visa ni ke?

andria.. if you aren't eligible for WHV, but desperately need a job in UK/NZ.. i'm just thinking,,, why don't you look for a job as a nanny? food & accomodation for sure free.. bab visa, maybe leh gune visitors visa first & work illegally.. sbb me  pernah nampak posting kat travel website, few families looking for nanny, mostly kat UK.. i'm not sure how reliable the posting were, but, maybe worth to try ... kalo tak slh,  kat forum ni dulu pun ade m'sian family  kat UK yg carik nanny.. coz u have younger sis & bros, i assume you must be good with kids..

Thanks rambo. If I'm eligible for a WHV, I don't have any problem at all. The problem is, I'm not eligible for a WHV sebab WHV is only for 18-30 year olds only and I'm above 30 already. Worst comes to worst, I terpaksa masuk as a tourist then find a job kat farms, kumpul duit, then sambil2 tu look for a real job like cleaner ker, as long as boleh dpt work permit. Sebab for fruit picking ni, mmg payah nak dapat work permit. Almost impossible, because fruit picking tak termasuk ke dlm kategori Pekerjaan yg Kekurangan Tenaga Buruh. By the way, u ada tak contact no atau address ur friend yg u kata keja kat sana tu? At least kalau I sampai sana, ada juga another fellow Malaysian yg dah ada pengalaman jadi fruit picker. Bolehlah timba ilmu dari dia. Kalau merantau ni, dapat jumpa another fellow Malaysian, tak kira bangsa apa pun, rasanya happy sgt...

Trust me, I did. In fact, the first job I was looking for, was Nanny. I even applied as far as Paris, US and UAE. But most of them hanya akan hire you as a Nanny kalau u mmg dah ada kat negara diorg, sebab most of them tak nak go through the hassle to apply for a Visa utk Nanny kalau diorg boleh dpt Nanny yg dah ada kat negara diorg sendiri. You probably won't believe this, but even nak jadi Nanny kat oversea, diorg cari yg ada kelayakan. Yup, even Nanny pun ada kursus dia sendiri. Kena tau CPR segala. Ada cert lagi. Gaji kat UAE utk maid/nanny, sekitar 200 USD jer. Very low. Tukar duit Malaysia cuma around RM 700++. Pernah sekali I applied for a Nanny position kat London, I really thought it was for real. Nasib baik I checked out the poster. Rupanya it's a scam. This person hantar iklan cari Nanny kat banyak tempat, dan gunakan gambar family yg berbeza. I never confronted that person, I just turned the offer down nicely. So hati2 la kpd sesiapa yg nak apply keja Nanny, or any jobs at all, online. Kalau ada sesiapa yg minta korang duit sebelum dia kasi kerja tu, it's most definitely a scam, so run away.

yep.. now dah ade sorg mamat nih.. graduate Univ Petronas.. stranded kat Dubai...he was offered a job, was a given a one way ticket  (tak sure kompeni byrkan ke dia yg sendiri byr)..and when he arrived in Dubai...agency tuh ade masalah.... kesian dia..now dia tgh duk merayu2 kat people in Dubai to tumpangkan dia coz now dia kat hotel and mahal giler plak tu..  

so u all out there.. hati2 la cari kerja kat obersee nih.. i yg duk kat Scotty ni pun rasa mcm nak balik Mesia je sebab omputeh2 nih hanya mesra alam tapi tak mesra manusia..

I jawab yer? If you're traveling as a tourist, then they expect you to BE a tourist. They don't want you to find a job because that would mean, duit (gaji) diorg mengalir keluar kepada warga asing. Diorg nak duit foreigners yg mengalir masuk ke negara diorg, dan bukan sebaliknya. It's the same rule everywhere. Sama juga, mcm warga lain yg nak masuk Malaysia, if they come into our country as tourists, then they can't go around looking for work. Unless we apply for a job from an agency while we're still here in Malaysia, then we can come in with work permits. With that work permit, we can go look for any kind of job while working with our current employer. So if we get a new job, we just reapply for a new work permit. Change of employer, that's all. But the case is different if you go in as a tourist. You totally cannot go job hunting. Unless you play it safe, and they don't find out. But you still need to change employer every 3 months or so, as not to be found out. You can't be too friendly as well with people, because you never know when someone would report you to the authority. How I wish I could change my age to below 30. Too many restrictions when you're 30 and above...

sbb nyer it is illegal for to come to NZ looking for job unless u already get the work permit+keje...its true...da pnah few malaysian guys kena send back...

Ada sesetengah tempat, memang tak akan minta work permit. Usually yg tak minta ialah fruit picking farms (bukan dlm factory), certain backpackers, ladang ternakan utk sheep di mana ada ramai warga Afghanistan keja illegally, nelayan, certain restaurants, etc. A lot actually. You just need to get the right contacts. Usually kalau nak keja as fruit picker, you just show up kat ladang buah diorg and they mostly hire you on the spot, provided diorg mmg perlukan fruit pickers la masa tu. And they pay you in cash (kalau keja illegal, mmg kena keja yg bayar cash aje la). Situasinya sama dgn kat negara kita sendiri. Berapa ramai employer kita yg hire warga asing like the Indonesians? Ramai kan? Because diorg boleh bayar gaji lbh murah utk org gelap nih. And most of the time, kalau kita tau pun, kita tutup sebelah mata, sebab kita kesiankan org2 yg kerja tanpa permit ni. Diorg semua ada family nak support, same like us. Benda ni is very common, takde apa yg memeranjatkan sebenarnya. Cuma kita tak pernah fikirkan tentang perkara ini sehinggalah apabila kita sendiri berada dlm situasi yg sama...

i noticed ur posting kat page sebelah pasal benefits.. actually if ur'not PR or citizenship sini, u tak boleh claim any benefits. not even working or child tax credit!! walaupun anak anak lahir sini. get a PR status or British passport, then u're eligibles for those things. ni experience i sendiri.. sakit hati woo.. bayar income tax & NI banyak banyak (more than 25% of ur salary) tapi nak claim balik tak boleh coz subject to immigration controls : no recourse to public funds.

tapi mcm my fren kat Manchester tuh, she was born in Wales.. but duk lama kat Mesia.. and then dtg UK balik coz husbnd kerja sini... anak ade 3 tapi 2 lahir kat sini and she gets the anak punye allowance tuh.. yg tu camne plak ninik ? tu sebab dia lahir sini ke yg menyebabkan dia entitle to dat benefit ?

kena ada PR la baru boleh enjoy the benefits... in any country pun.

eh dulu pun ada la feature ni.... tapi duduknye kat bawah.....

mula kat atas, then admin pindah kan ke bawah, then last week pindah naik balik... pasal ramai mintak macam tu...
