Final Part
It has now passed Maghrib and Ibu is busy helping the bride in her wedding costume, both Pak Aziz and she had taken nearly four months to choose the perfect bride for their son, it was quite a task as they knew their son wants a good partner to keep him happy for life. Ibu has asked some of the villager抯 ladies to help the bride and now she looks pretty in her costume sitting and waiting in Deris抯 room. Deris had given his parents money to furnish his room as he feels that the room should now look more like a marriage room rather than bilik bujang. The bride sits quietly at the new dressing table accompanied as tradition by the eldest woman in the village, Opah Lia and waits for the bridegroom to appear.
The kadhi had arrived and a few minutes later they heard a loud commotion outside indicating the bridegroom has already arrived. Deris arrived in his tribal outfit and went up to his house and he did notice that almost all the villagers including their children have gathered outside his house to celebrate his wedding. He knew he did not give enough money for the whole village to attend and was wondering how his parents can afford having the whole village.
