Kahit Isang Saglit stars talk about love in Chalk

Currently starring in Primetime Bida抯 truly international drama series Kahit Isang Saglit, Jericho Rosales and Malaysian actress Carmen Soo grace the cover of Chalk Magazine抯 October issue. The two talk about getting to know each other on and off the set, and how they weathered nasty intrigues that supposedly led to Heart Evangelista抯 sudden and very unexpected decision resulting in a very public breakup with her boyfriend of three years. 揑t抯 like an island. There抯 an island there, and then boom! All of a sudden, parang wala ng island. You抮e scratching your head and asking yourself, 慦hat happened?挃 Echo reveals in the Chalk article.
Echo also recalls what he went through after hearing the news. 揑t was hard in the beginning, because of course I needed to talk to someone, and I especially needed to talk to the person梩o Heart梑ut I was in Malaysia, working. So I was emailing and texting and calling, but after the big breakup, no contact. I couldn抰 do anything. So in the morning I was crying, and in the evening, I was crying, but I had to go to the set,?Echo shares with Chalk. The actor-singer also had to apologize to his co-star for having her name dragged into the issue when tongues started wagging that she was the cause for Heart抯 jealousy. 揑 had to go up to Carmen and say sorry. She told me that I didn抰 need to apologize because it wasn抰 my fault, but still, I抦 involved and I was being polite. She said she understood and she handled it well,?he further adds in the article.
But despite all the real-life drama between them, Jericho obviously still has the best of intentions for his former sweetheart. 揟here抯 not a single day that I don抰 pray for Heart or protect her or tell people about how good a person she is. I had three wonderful years with her and that抯 the amazing part. Its just hard that you have to let go,?he admits in Chalk.

First, let抯 get this out of the way. Yes, the names of the main characters, Garie and Rocky, played by Carmen Soo and Jericho Rosales, are familiar to those who have watched Ngyaon Nandito Ka starring Jericho Rosales and Kristine Hermosa. Why? Because both projects were written by none other than Henry King Quitain. The names are used in honor of one of his favorite love teams.
Jericho Rosales as Rocky Santillan - He抯 a PDEA (Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency) agent. His father was murdered and his mom died of a heart attack when he was young. His goal is to find his father抯 killer. Meets and falls in love with a Fil-Malaysian lady named Garie in Malaysia during his investigation on Governor Reyes. It抯 official on October 9, 2008匞arie and Rocky are now boyfriend and girlfriend.
Carmen Soo as Margaret Hang Li ?A rich Fil-Malaysian better known as Garie. Daughter of Eunice Hang Li and Ronaldo D. Granddaughter of Jenny Hang Li. Against her wishes she is arranged to marry Amir. She recently found out that her father was part of a drug syndicate. Garie defies her grandmother抯 orders and goes to the Philippines to find her father. She made it official on October 9, 2008 that she is now Rocky抯 girlfriend.
Albert Martinez as Ronaldo/Amihan ?Garie抯 father who is on the run from the law. It was recently revealed to everyone that he was part of a drug syndicate. Rocky, though he doesn抰 know that Amihan is Garie抯 father, suspects him to be his father抯 killer. He underwent surgery to remove the facial scarring that he had when he was younger. He attempts to clear his name and reunite with his family. He finally came face to face with Garie after so many years.
Christopher de Leon as Anthony L. Mondragon ?A general in the Philippine National Police. Alona抯 father and Rocky抯 ninong (godfather). It was recently revealed that he knew Garie抯 mother, Eunice, years ago when he was a young officer and she was a transfer student from Malaysia. He was and is still in love with Garie抯 mother. It抯 possible, as shown in an earlier episode, that he raped Garie抯 mother. Anthony will affect the fate of Rocky and Garie抯 love for each other.
Cristine Reyes as Alona Mondragon ?Daughter of General Anthony L. Mondragon and best friend of Rocky Santillan. She harbors a deep love for Rocky and is jealous of Garie. She will do everything to own his heart and affection. After researching information on Garie and finding out that she escaped from her grandmother and left Malaysia, she decides that the only way to get rid of Garie is to call and report where Garie is located. After confessing about her deed, she tries to commit suicide and is now in a coma.
D!ck Israel as Lt. Matteo ?Rocky抯 supervisor in PDEA. At first he was suspected to be one of the 搒nakes?in the PDEA. It was recently revealed that he is in fact a good guy and joined PDEA because of similar reasons Rocky joined PDEA卼o get rid and find the drug smugglers and syndicate responsible for his son抯 shooting.
Isabel Rivas as Vivian Mondragon ?Wife to General Mondragon and mother of Alona. She knows all to well what Alona is going through. She only wants to be loved by her husband and does everything for him only to be ignored and yelled at. Vivian knows that her husband still harbors feelings for Garie抯 mother and will never love her the way he loves Eunice.
Malou de Guzman as Marian ?Rocky抯 aunt and the one who raised him after his parents died.
Wilma Doesnt as Mona ?Nestor抯 sister and Marian抯 coworker and neighbor.
Empoy Marquez as Nestor ?Rocky抯 friend, neighbor and co-PDEA agent. Along with Mona adds comedic relief to the drama series.
Louisa Chong as Jenny Hang Li/Popong ?Eunice抯 mother and Garie抯 grandmother. She is the owner of a shipping company who dislikes Amihan and believes that the only way for Eunice and Garie to show their gratitude to her is by following her rules and making sure that her company stays afloat. This means Garie must abide by the contract signed by Popong, Eunice and Amir and marry Amir. Alona made it known to Popong Garie抯 location in the Philippines. She confronts Garie, as well has Garie抯 friends/neighbors, and reveals that Garie抯 father is a criminal and part of a drug syndicate.
Soosan Hoh as Eunice Hang Li ?Garie抯 mother and daughter of Popong. During her college years she was a transfer student in the Philippines. There she met and fell in love with Amihan. It was recently revealed that during this time she also befriended Anthony Mondragon. Anthony fell in love with her but she did not return the feelings as she was in love with Amihan. Eunice has leukemia which has not yet told Garie or Amihan about her condition.
Awal Ashaari as Amir ?A rich shipping magnate. He describes himself as a businessman and a lover. He knew Garie back in college and signed a contract with Popong and Eunice which called for an arranged marriage to Garie in return for financial support to help keep the Hang Li business afloat.
Zayanah Ibrahim as Anis ?Garie抯 bestfriend in Malaysia. Helped Garie escape the grasp of her grandmother and is now helping to take care of Eunice.
Governor Reyes ?Part of a drug syndicate that smuggled illegal drugs into the Philippines. Was killed on Rocky抯 watch when he secretly arrived back in the Philippines.
(Sorry I don抰 know the name of the actor or character) ?Lieutenant in the PDEA. One of the so-called snakes in PDEA, but yet unknown to Rocky and his comrades.
Eto si Joshua. Ang cute noh? He抯 one of Garie抯 students in Sta. Isabel. Wants to go to school and get an education but unfortunately the father does not want him to attend because their family does not have the money to support his education. Therefore, he is usually absent from classes.

Actor Jericho Rosales shared his happiness with the positive feedback he has been receiving for his comeback series "Kahit Isang Saglit" with Malaysian actress Carmen Soo.
"Maganda daw talaga ang show, maganda ang tandem namin ni Carmen. Lahat positive... so kahit hindi ko s抷a napapanood lately ay masaya ako siyempre," Rosales said.
(they said that the show is good, my tandem with carmen is also good. all of the feedback is positive so i'm happy even if i havent watch it yet.)
The actor said that Soo is also thrilled with all the positive reviews they are getting.
"Si Carmen masyadong masaya kasi may communication kami sa Malaysia. Medyo open na siya dito sa mundo natin sa Pinas, sa mga blogs chini-check niya. Natutuwa siya. Masaya siya at masaya ako para sa kanya na natanggap siya ng mga Pinoy," he said.
(carmen is very happy coz we do have communication in malaysia. she is quite adjusted already with things going on in the phils. she checks blogs and she is happy and i'm happy for carmen because Filipinos accepted her.)
The actor extended his appreciation to the series' viewers. He hopes that people will continue to support the series until its very end.

Rosales just arrived from Italy where he had a concert with other Kapamilya stars like Ai-Ai delas Alas, on screen partners Kim Chiu and Gerald Anderson and Jed Madela.
The actor said that in December he will be back in Malaysia to launch his own brand of cologne- the 揓ericho Cologne"- and to do a concert with his band.
Rosales said that he is focusing on his singing career now.
"Baka December mag-start ng recording for bagong album for the first quarter of next year, medyo na mi-miss ko na din," he said.
(Maybe in december i will start recording for my new album for the first quarter of next year...i quite miss it).
