Jacko Moves Into Prince Jefri抯 Vegas Compound

Las vegas - US music icon Michael Jackson has moved into a $60 million compound owned by HRH Prince Jefri Bolkiah of Brunei in a gated community in Las Vegas.

Jackson moved into the 100,000-square-foot property during the weekend after his six-month lease expired on a $1 million home elsewhere in the city, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported this week.

Someone who saw Jackson's vacated house said the singer left the 10-bedroom home a mess, telling the Review-Journal it appeared the home hadn't been cleaned in months.

Jackson left a suite at The Mirage hotel-casino in a similar condition after a lengthy stay there several years ago.

The 53-year-old Prince Jefri, one of Jackson's longtime friends, built his Spanish Trail compound in the 1990s, when he was known for his lavish tastes. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin

Bandar Seri Begawan - Bruneian women feel that they are moving forward, but at the same time they need to strike a balance between work and family.
"Times have changed.. Before, most women stayed at home, (maybe) to sleep and are unheard of. Now we are moving forward with time," said a 50-year-old finance officer at the Ministry of Education who did no wish to be named.
"It gets boring and the mind gets stale if you just stay at home all the time," she said, adding that she thought it was better for women to find ideas on earning extra income to help their husbands.
"(Now) more are educated and hold good careers," said the mother of five.
Saireen Hj Ibrahim, 22, agrees that more and more women in Brunei are proving that they can handle professions previously dominated by males.
