hampir kantoi erk..
Peterborough 1-2 Everton
Everton booked their place in the third round of the Carling Cup thanks to a late winner from substitute Tim Cahill.
Teenage striker Victor Anichebe showed great strength and although the excellent Mark Tyler saved his low shot, Cahill turned in the rebound.
Everton led when James Beattie's header across goal was deflected into his own net by the unlucky Jude Stirling.
Posh deservedly levelled through Trevor Benjamin's powerful header, but Cahill won it with three minutes left.
The visitors started brightly and Beattie flashed an early shot across goal but Peterborough, playing for the first time in front of new chairman Darragh MacAnthony, had the best chance in the opening 20 minutes.
Everton keeper Richard Wright, making his first start of the season, made a hash of a long free-kick into the box and was grateful to Joleon Lescott who was on hand to clear Justin Richards' follow-up header off the line.
But David Moyes' side were looking dangerous in attack, despite leaving top scorer Andrew Johnson on the bench.
Teenage striker Anichebe was proving an able deputy and the Premiership side took the lead on 22 minutes when Phil Neville crossed to the far post and Beattie's header back across goal was deflected past the unfortunate Tyler by Stirling.
Posh had strong claims for a penalty turned down soon after when a sloppy throw-out by the nervy Wright was intercepted by Liam Davis and he raced into the box.
Debutant centre-half Mark Hughes came across to cut out the danger and appeared to bundle Davis to the ground but the home side's shouts were ignored.
The only other clearcut chance of the first period saw the impressive Anichebe float a crossfield pass to Lee Carsley whose first-time half-volley was brilliantly tipped round the post by Mark Tyler.
Keith Alexander's men, roared on by a vociferous home support, stepped up the pace after the break.
Adam Newton fired in a fierce shot that Hughes did well to head over the bar.
And from the resulting corner Posh drew level when Benjamin's powerful header crossed the line despite an acrobatic attempt to clear by Simon Davies.
Within a minute Ben Turner was inches wide from heading Posh ahead while Beattie should have done better at the other end but his weak shot was easily saved.
Everton, recognising the very real threat of an early cup exit, brought on Mikel Arteta and Cahill to liven up the midfield and Tyler was soon in action making a fine diving stop from former Posh team-mate Davies.
And it was Cahill who broke Peterborough hearts with the winner when he reacted quickly to steer in from close range after Anichebe's initial shot was saved by Tyler.
