If I correctly recalled, even Russian electronics gadget are wayyy inferior compared to western ones.

Which year of the book are you read?

If the russian are so wayyy behind, then we must be bought crappy MKM, 29N, Iglas, PT-91M.

MiG-29 and MKM still using main radar and weapon unit from russia. Only few minor avionics to make it compatible to NATO interoperability were changed.

MiG-29N, yes. a few major systems has been changed to western systems such as navigation, communication etc.

but MKM, only a few major electronics systems are Russian made. the rest are replaced with western made systems.


errr... may I suggest you check which year of the book you have been reading?

so many forummers like to put their imaginary girlfriend as their avatar? well, as there is no law against it, why not?  Some people like to put military pics as if they are working with the military. so people show their knowledge prowess in military affairs as if they are members of the armed forces while in fact they are not and most facts are wrong and based on hearsay. not to mention there are people who like to "tegakkan benang basah" eventhough it is clear that they are wrong. . but this is a forum where members can exchange ideas, facts, learn and be all that they can or cannot be.

besides, how sure are you that their avatars are just their imaginary girlfriend.

But now you've mention it, I also wonder why forummers like to put their imaginary fighter jet as their avatar? So desperate ka?

Sebenarnya saya bukan ahli baru. Cuma tak post pasal masih belajar daripada forummer lain dan tak ada apa-apa yang saya tahu yang saya boleh contribute.

Tapi kali ini saya ada soalan mengenai MiG-29N. Adakah ianya dipasang dengan bas RapidKL? Eeeh... silap tu. Maksud saya adakah ia telah dimod dan dipasang dengan databus MIL-STD 1553B yang menjadi databus piawian bagi pesawat pejuang US dan Eropah barat (pendek kata, NATO)?

Ini bermakna ianya tak boleh menggunakan sistem persenjataan barat seperti Paveway, JDAM, Litening, SDB dsb kerana antaramuka kesemua sistem tersebut adalah MIL-STD 1553B. Satu-satunya yang boleh digunakan adalah AIM-9 Sidewinder kerana ia mempunyai antaramuka yang mudah.

Adakah ini bermakna Su-30 MKM juga tiada databus tersebut? Tapi yang peliknya, bagaimana sistem seperti Top Hat dan Damocles dapat diintegrasikan tanpanya?

tak perlu tu semua untuk dipasang pada MiG-29N sebab pesawat tu ada sistem persenjataannya sendiri yang tak kurang hebatnya.

Su-30MKM pon wa rasa tak dipasang jugak databus nih. sistem Top Hat dengan Damocles tu bukannya sistem persenjataan, tetapi sistem penderia. pun begitu komputer MKM ni berbeza dan boleh diprogram semula dan peralatan baru boleh diintegrasikan mengikut keperluan semasa.

cuma, bab sistem persenjataan tu tiada kompromi. sistem persenjataan rusia dan NATO berkomunikasi dalan bahasa yang berbeza, tidak mustahil untuk memberi keupayaan kpd MKM melancarkan sistem senjata buatan negara2 NATO. tapi persoalannya perlukah dan berbaloikah untuk berbuat demikian?
