Senna's team eye move into F1
Eurosport - Mon, 27 Apr 19:46:00 2009
The iSport International team that raced in the GP2 feeder series with Brazilian Bruno Senna last year is considering a Formula One entry in 2010 if budgets are capped, according to team founder Paul Jackson.
Joining a list of would-be contenders that already includes Lola, Aston Martin and Prodrive chairman David Richards and a planned US-based team, Jackson told Germany's motorsport-magazin.com website that he was serious.
"I aim to give a few people in F1 a kick up the backside and to show them that they are chucking money out of the window for nothing," he said.
Senna, nephew of Formula One's late triple champion Ayrton, would be an obvious candidate.
"That would be fantastic. I'm convinced that he belongs in Formula One," said Jackson, whose front-running team won the 2007 GP2 title with Germany's Timo Glock - now a Toyota Formula One driver.
Senna tested with Honda last year, before the Japanese manufacturer pulled out of Formula One, and has subsequently also been linked to Toro Rosso. He was GP2 runner-up last year.
Jackson said iSport were contemplating either an independent entry using their GP2 engineers or joining forces with a team already on the Formula One starting grid such as Red Bull-owned Toro Rosso.

budget cap bermaksud tetiap team f1 cuma bleh spend duit dalam amaun yang dibenarkan
cthnyer..usd30 juta utk satu season..tapi ada cadangan team besar cuma usd60 juta..yg team kecik bebas utk buat Rnd spesifikasi enjin ngan teknikal takde had tapi team besar tak boleh buat benda teknikal mcm develop enjin tanpa had tapi dibenarkan utk RnD aerodinamik tanpa had..kira camtu la ..camni la |

Paddock Talk: Bernie says F1 needs Beckham
We round-up all the rumours, gossip and tittle tattle from around the world of Formula One with Bernie Ecclestone keen to see David Beckham and Lionel Messi sign up for a drive.
Spain: F1 supremo Bernie Ecclestone has hit out at the sport's drivers for failing to make the most of commercial opportunities. The co-owner of Championship club Queens Park Rangers told El Mundo: "In Formula One we do not have a Messi, or Beckham. He would be ideal." And who would be the ultimate marketable asset? A woman - but not just any woman. "Ideally she would be Jewish and black," the billionaire added to Marca.
Britain: Ecclestone has hinted that the recently-imposed 2010 budget cap could be set for an increase in a bid to calm the waters of outrage from certain teams. Ferrari were up in arms at the proposed |
