Uncertain Times For Hildebrand
Stuttgart goalkeeper Timo Hildebrand could be left out in the cold next season after Valencia dismissed general manager Amadeo Carboni.
The German shot-stopper is reported to have signed a contract with the Liga outfit, and is expected to be presented on June 30.
Carboni negotiated the deal to sign the 28-year-old, with coach Quique Sanchez Flores insisting he did not need a new goalkeeper.
The pair were often at loggerheads through the season, and the Hildebrand deal was thought to be another bone of contention.
Flores is expected to field Santiago Canizares as his number one next season, with Hildebrand handed a place on the bench at best.
Hildebrand helped Stuttgart claim the Bundesliga title last season. |

Flores Targets Striker After Carboni Exit
Quique S醤chez Flores has put Espanyol striker Lu韘 Garc韆 top of his summer shopping list after winning his battle with Amadeo Carboni at Valencia.
The coach's spat with the sporting director was often public and the club have moved quickly to end the stand-off by announcing that Carboni will leave his post.
In an announcement on the club's official website, Valencia stated that they would begin looking for a new sporting director immediately.
Whether Carboni leaves Mestalla completly has not been decided, but the move has given Flores the power that he desired and he has given the board a list of players he wants.
After an impressive campaign in the league and in Europe, Lu韘 Garc韆 is now hot property and Valencia are said to be ready make a bid..
Despite the enormous amount on offer, Espanyol are sitting tight and could refuse to sell a key player as they look to build on a campaign that saw them reach the UEFA Cup Final and just miss out on a top ten finish.
