kalo tgk kat rekod kemenangan sblm ni.....McLaren paling kerap menang kat canada....cume kali ni mase qualifying ade masalah cuace, time race pulak RBR starting dgn baik.....tu yg tak de ruang tuk alonso aku menyelinap....tapi kalo tgk prestasi....aku nampak ferarri lebih kompetetif berbanding team lain kat canada

Vettel to stay at Red Bull until end of 2015

Sebastian Vettel has extended his Red Bull contract until the end of 2015, putting an end to speculation he might join Ferrari next season.

Last year rumours surfaced that he had signed a pre-contract with rivals Ferrari but both Red Bull and Vettel denied the stories. The three-time world champions have now put an end to the speculation, at least in the immediate future, by confirming Vettel will stay until the end of 2015.

"Infiniti Red Bull Racing is happy to confirm that World Champion Sebastian Vettel has extended his multi-year contract with the team until the end of 2015," read a statement. "A previous member of the Red Bull Junior squad, Sebastian first drove for Red Bull Racing in 2009. During his Formula One career, the 25-year-old has achieved 29 wins, 51 podiums and 39 pole positions. He is the current Formula One World Champion and also a triple World Champion, having retained the title since he first won it in 2010."

Vettel's team-mate for 2014 has yet to be confirmed with rumours Mark Webber will leave the team when his current one-year contract expires. Following the Malaysian Grand Prix, where Vettel ignored team orders to overtake Webber and win the race, there has been speculation that Webber's position beyond the end of the season is untenable.

Kimi Raikkonen is among the drivers rumoured to be in with a chance at securing a Red Bull drive next year, while Toro Rosso's Daniel Ricciardo and Jean-Eric Vergne are also eyeing the seat.

Sebastian Vettel wins F1's Belgian
Grand Prix to strengthen title hold

Sebastian Vettel extended his lead in the Formula One world championship once again when he won the Belgian Grand Prix ahead of Fernando Alonso and Lewis Hamilton.

Vettel's lead had been 38 points over Kimi Raikkonen and now it is 46 over Fernando Alonso. Meanwhile Hamilton, who started the race 48 points in arrears, is now 58 points behind the German and his hopes have almost gone. He looked a little forlorn at the end.

By the way Vettel got stuck into the podium champagne – unusually for him – he felt he had tied up his fourth title on the spin. This was his 31st victory.

Hamilton got off to a terrific start from pole but was still easily overtaken by Vettel, going round the outside on the fifth corner of the opening lap.

By the second lap Vettel's lead was up to one and a half seconds over Hamilton, with Nico Rosberg third after Mark Webber's poor start. The Australian had clutch issues before the start of the race.

The German's form looked imperious as he extended his advantage to about four seconds on the third lap.

Alonso had made a great start, moving up from ninth – his joint worst start of the season – to fifth by the end of the first lap. By the sixth lap the Spaniard had passed Rosberg to take third as he proved, once again, that his race form is a lot better than his qualifying.

That improved even more when he took second spot off Hamilton. By the halfway stage, with Vettel's lead up to eight seconds and with Hamilton falling further behind every lap, the situation looked dire for the British driver in terms of his championship challenge.

Raikkonen had started the race back in eighth place, one ahead of Alonso. This was not his day. He appeared to suffer front right break problems and just past halfway he retired. That brought to an end a run of 38 consecutive finishes for the Finn.

Paul di Resta, who thought he might have claimed poll on Saturday, also failed to make it to the finish after clashing with Pastor Maldonado. But Jenson Button had one of his better runs this season, to take sixth place, where he had started the race.
