TGV Gets New Look

30 Sept - Movie fans in Seremban can now catch the latest flicks at the new TGV cinema in Jusco, Seremban 2 Shopping Centre, the 3-storey mall opened today by the Menteri Besar of Negeri Sembilan, YAB Dato' Seri Utama Hj. Mohamad Bin Hj. Hasan. The soon-to-be 5-screen TGV cinema (currently, only 2 screens are ready) is located at the third-floor of the shopping mall, together with a soon-to-open Karaoke centre and above the upcoming bowling alley.



Halls 1 and 2 of the new TGV cinema are ready.  

TGV Cinemas' latest addition, its 7th location, now has a new look and feel including a revamp of its logo, fittings, ticketing and snack counters. TGV staff wear black and white collared shirts bearing a new TGV cinema logo

After its initial opening of 6 cineplexes almost 10 years ago across the Klang Valley and one in Ipoh, TGV has not been adding any new locations. Seremban 2 Shopping Centre will be the first among several others to emerge within the next few months in a new wave of expansion, including a 10 screen in JB's upcoming Tebrau Shopping Centre, and two others in other existing Jusco malls across Kuala Lumpur.

aku tgk Longest Yard kat TGV Jusco Seremban 2 tadi... huih, meriah gila Jusco Seremban 2... wayang die buka 2 screen dulu.. yg pastinye, wayang ni adalah wayang TGV terbaik yg pernah aku tgk... Ruang antara seat luas skit.. takde la sempit nak mampus macam kebanyakan hall kat tGV lain especially kat TGV KLCC, rase nak pijak atas peha org je supaya senang lalu....

my Fav... GSC Mid Valley... senang aku nak gi.. aku pong dah familiar ngan setiap screen dengan seat pong aku dah leh hafal.. soo senang aku nak choose seat yg paling best

New Cinema in Kota Kinabalu

17 Oct - Cathay Cineplexes Sdn. Bhd. will open its fourth Mega Pavilion Cinemas Cineplex in Malaysia this November in Kota Kinabalu, the capital city of Sabah. Movie-goers in Sabah can look forward to a new movie-going experience and the concept of total cinema entertainment when the company opens the 3-screen Cineplex.

Located along Jalan Abdul Rahman of Kota Kinabalu and occupying some 20,000 square feet, the Cineplex has a total seating capacity of 620 seats, with the smallest hall offering 130 seats and the largest hall, 250 seats. The three-screen Cineplex will be equipped with the Dolby Digital Surround EX, the latest in the movie industry, which offers seamless digital sound presentation as well as the sophisticated Digital Theatre Systems (DTS) and the Spectral Recording Digital (SRD) system at all of its halls. Movie-goers in Sabah can certainly look forward to a truly multi-dimensional cinematic sound environment.

An all-American 25-feet-wide popcorn counter serving a wide variety of popcorn, sodas, candies, hot snacks, non-alcoholic beverages not commonly found in cinemas and many more delicacies await snack lovers. Patrons will be attended by staff who are specially trained in customer service and efficiency.

Patrons can pick their choice seats through an integrated computerised ticketing system which can also automatically update their bonus points or allow them to make redemptions if they sign up for the Privilege & Student Card membership. Patrons may also use a fully integrated telephone booking system to get their tickets up to seven days in advance by dialling Mega Pavilion Cinemas

sblm ni aku dgr, kalau ikut perancangan akan dibuka ogos 2005, tapi delay..

Mega Pavilion kat The Curve PJ tu pun dijangka delay ke awal tahun depan(kalau ikut perancangan asal, patut buka Nov2005)

masa aku masih di universiti dulu almost tiap2 minggu nengok wayang habis ke mana saja (masa tu takder Mid valley, KLCC whatsoever) cuma panggong2 buruk paling best pon ODEON kat Central Market (masa tu panggung kecik tapi member aku kata duduk macam dalam kapal tebang) bila dah nak grad baruler aku ke One Utama (still belom muncul lagi Mid Valley and KLCC) skang ni dah tak minat tengok dalam panggung bukan pasal panggung tak best tapi kenapa ntah punggong aku lengoh aje dalam panggung........:stp:

More Cinemas Coming To Sabah

18 Nov - In just a relatively short span of two months, Kota Kinabalu has doubled its count of cinema screens. On 27 October this year, Growball Cinemax added three screens to their cineplex while a new cinema, Mega Pavilion KK, which was re-launched yesterday, also has three screens.

The Mayor of Kota Kinabalu, Datuk Illyas Ibrahim, officiated the opening of the fourth Mega Pavilion cinema in Kota Kinabalu. Previously known as Capitol, the new cinema now has a new concept and image. Several years ago, the cinema was shut down and was turned into a supermarket. The cinema's resurrection was marked with the premiere of the highly anticipated 揌arry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

TGV Jusco Tebrau City Johor Bahru akan dibuka pada 4 Januari 2006....

So, nampak gayanye, johor bahru menjadi bandaraya pertama kat Malaysia yg ada 3 main cinema operator kat Malaysia iaitu GSC, TGV dan Mega Pavilion/Cathay....

Lepas ni baru area KL ada ketiga2 main cinema operator tsb apabila Mega Pavilion akan dibuka di Cineleisure Damansara The Curve dalam pertengahan tahun 2006....

Aeon pins high hopes on new Jusco in Johor

AEON Co (M) Bhd, which owns the Jusco chain of stores, has invested RM250mil in its latest store, Jusco Tebrau City.

Its largest investment of RM35mil in the last 21 years was for land purchase, and the store already has a 95% occupancy rate ahead of its opening on Jan 12.

bnyknye, 10 skrin nak buka kat Tebrau City JB(TGV)... total skrin kat JB(utk 3 main operators) is 20 skrin(including GSC Pelangi 5 skrin and Mega Pavilion City Square 5 skrin).....

tapi kat GSC Leisure Mall memeng x best...panggung jenis lama dan seating style biasa je..

emm.. jadi ke tak TGV Tebrau City buka hari ni.. kat website TGV tak bgtau apa2 pun.. TGV ni mmg 'fail' la bab2 marketing ni... macam TGV Seremban buka hari tu pun macam nak taknak bgtau.. GSC punye marketing mmg bagus sbb mmg publisiti meluas... Mega Pavilion punye marketing pun not bad la, at least org tau yg wayang dorg dah dibuka.....

dan GSC versi lama (seperti GSC Pelangi) ni mmg jauh berbeza dgn GSC versi baru spt Times Square dan 1Utama new wing dari segi condition cinema...
