from info i read on net, guide dibayar sekitar 200-250 yuan (sekitar RM100-125) per day. |

cuti skolah akhir tahun mcm dah kurang sesuai sbb Tibet sangat2 sejuk time tu.....Himalayan road juga mungkin kurang sesuai utk dilalui pasal harsh weather....tak silap saya, tempoh waktu sesuai utk melawat Tibet ialah sekitar Mac-Oct, tapi Mac dgn April biasanya org exclude dari itinerary pasal sekitar bulan tu ada anniversary of Tibet's peaceful resistance yg tidak disukai oleh china gov, so dalam tempoh berlangsung event ni, china gov akan tutup Tibet kepada pelancong asing. Maka waktu sesuai yg tinggal ialah Mei hingga Oct, cuti sekolah bulan Mei-Jun tu mcm sesuai. Diorang2 ni nak buat sept, kalau nak ubah timing either kena awalkan or postpone ke tahun depan. |

musaffir nampak mcm dah tak masuk sini pasal kena tolak credit tu, tapi harap2 dia kembali lah even dgn nama dan registration baru.....sayang lah pulak kalau berhenti separa jalan bila dah dapat beberapa org yg berminat nak join.
Pasal age limit, rasanya tak ada, janji cukup fit je, maybe kena buat latihan cardio ke dlm 3 bulan sebelum pergi secara berterusan supaya stamina terjaga.....
Apa2 pun yg akan dijangka ialah High Altitude Sickness yg biasanya sapa2 pun akan kena....some info on AMS:-
Altitude sickness, also known as acute mountain sickness (AMS), altitude illness, or soroche, is a pathological condition that is caused by acute exposure to low air pressure (usually outdoors at high altitudes). It commonly occurs above 2,400 metres (approximately 8,000 feet). Acute mountain sickness can progress to high altitude pulmonary edema or high altitude cerebral edema.
AMS is very common at high altitude. At over 3,000 meters (10,000 feet) 75% of people will have mild symptoms. The occurrence of AMS is dependent upon the elevation, the rate of ascent, and individual susceptibility. Many people will experience mild AMS during the acclimatization process. The symptoms usually start 12 to 24 hours after arrival at altitude and begin to decrease in severity around the third day.
The symptoms of Mild AMS include:
- Headache
- Nausea & Dizziness
- Loss of appetite
- Fatigue
- Shortness of breath
- Disturbed sleep
- General feeling of malaise
Symptoms tend to be worse at night and when respiratory drive is decreased. Mild AMS does not interfere with normal activity and symptoms generally subside within two to four days as the body acclimatizes. As long as symptoms are mild, and only a nuisance, ascent can continue at a moderate rate.
Tips to avoid AMS
1. Do not overexert yourself or more higher for the first 24 hours.
2. If you begin to show symptoms of moderate altitude sickness, don't go higher until symptoms decrease.
3. Stay properly hydrated. Acclimatization is often accompanied by fluid loss, so you need to drink lots of fluids to remain properly hydrated.
4. Take it easy and don't overexert yourself when you first get up to altitude. But, light activity during the day is better than sleeping because respiration decreases during sleep, exacerbating the symptoms.
5. Avoid tobacco, alcohol and other depressant drugs including, barbiturates, tranquillisers, sleeping pills and opiates such as dihydrocodeine. These further decrease the respiratory drive during sleep resulting in a worsening of symptoms.
6. Remember: Acclimatisation is inhibited by overexertion, dehydration, and alcohol.
7. Prepare some AMS pills according to your doctor's suggestion.
8. Do exercises to keep you fit before coming to Tibet.
Who can't go
Everyone should have more or less altitude symptoms. However, those who have the following symptoms may not going to Tibet
1. something relating to Tuberculosis, pneumonia, serious tracheitis, bronchitis
2. Serious heart attack, high blood pressure
3. have already got a serious cold
Mohid punya geng 4 org smua lasak2 ke? |

ni pics EBC lagik cun ---> http://indianakev.com/Tibet-EBC.php
a'ah...kalau travel ramai2 tentu boleh buat video ala documentary nanti...hehe....
btw, memang train tu mahal tapi train trip Xining-Lhasa tu pengalaman sekali seumur hidup tu.......ala2 perlu masuk itinerary jugak. Lagipun, naik train body ada lebih masa nak adapt dgn perubahan ketinggian, kalau flight mungkin cepat sgt kot? Ntah, teori bodo-bodo je tu....
Pasal makanan halal, aku rasa mcm lebih mudah dari yg kita sangkakan sbb artikel islam in china tu cakap kebanyakan business people yg bukak resto kat Tibet ialah muslim terutamanya pembekal daging, others than that kedai2 biasa vegeterian je....boleh study la cemana...perjalanan dari Lhasa-Kathmandu rasanya boleh deal dgn TA je kot, bawak je la pasta, tomato, megi....kalau tak pun makan Tsampa je la. Tsampa ni kedengaran mcm tak mengenyangkan, tapi dah nama pun travel, takda la perlu nak makan kenyang2 pun, asal cukup protein, cukup tenaga je..... |

tghari tadi ada belek Lonely Planet Tibet kat MPH, ada map Lhasa dlm travelbook tu tunjuk kedudukan Muslim Quarter di Lhasa, letaknya dekat2 dgn Jokhang Monastery. Ada satu hotel dekat masjid besar nama Flora hotel running by muslim Nepali katanya. Hotel ni hotel budget, satu lagi hotel dalam area muslim quarter nama Rama Kharpo, tak ada info owner dia muslim ke tak tapi kat tripadvisor kata hotel ni diusahakan oleh keluarga tempatan. Review kat tripadvisor utk Rama Kharpo agak bagus, ada sorang traveler naik atas bumbung hotel boleh nampak Istana Potala, Jokhang Monastery dan Masjid disekitar kawasan.
Antara list kedai makan dlm Lonely Planet Tibet termasuk resto milik Belanda yg jual western food dan Indomi (ya! mi goreng ala indonesia), restoran muslim, Tibetian, Nepali & Indian food. LP cakap banyak kedai makan muslim di sekitar Muslim Quarter, tapi yg diorang highlight dlm buku hanya satu yg terbaik, tak ingat nama apa tapi resto nya menyajikan masakan dari Xinxiang (northwestern province of china) spt mi tarik dgn ayam/daging goreng manis. Kalau nak cuba makanan asli Tibet, ada satu resto masakan Tibet yg 100% vegetarian. Manakala beberapa kedai makan lain juga ada masakan vegetarian ala India utara (naan, capati or nasik kacang dal). |
