MyOpinion: Umm...I'm sort of afraid to write this because 2NE1 fans havebuilt up a reputation similar to the other protective fanclubs. Butit's just my opinion so please don't take it to heart. Let me start outby saying that I was really excited for this group because I LOVE ParkBom's voice. I didn't really know anything about the other girls tohave an opinion on them but my love for Bommie was enough to get meexcited for their debut. However, the hype totally killed it for me. YGdestroyed any excitement I would have had for this song with the mostridiculous over-exposure since ... EVER. If they had just debuted andput this song out there with their unique style, I would have totallyfangirled over it. But after what seems like a month of teasers andrandom pictures, the fire has burned down to a simmer. Andunfortunately, the song doesn't live up to the insane hype. Don't getme wrong, it's a great song (with awesome beats and uplifting lyrics)but the way they were promoting it, I thought this was going to be thenext "Nan Arayo" and completely revolutionize the current Kpop scene.But synthesized voices & repetitive lyrics? Uh, that's been goingon for the last year. So yeah, I'm pretty disappointed with this. Ireally wish they hadn't hyped it so much because I would have liked ita lot more if I wasn't already tired of it. Plus some songs have a wayof sticking in your head and this just doesn't do it for me. I'velistened to it about ten times and as soon as I turn it off, Icompletely forget about it. And Park Bom in a sex bunny costume pissesme off like nothing else. Way to completely undermine her talent YG!But despite whatever I personally think about the song/video, I decidedto sub it anyways because girl groups don't get enough love and Ireally want to support them. *prays their next single will be better soI can properly fangirl over them*

- 2NE1 will be 2009 best newcomer? New MVs gets a million views in less than a day
- Newcomer 2NE1 has been predicted to be best newcomer of 2009.
- Their debut song ‘Fire’ went up to #1 spots after just being released on 6th May on Cyworld and Bugs music charts. And their MVs got a million over views in just less than 1 day after their reveal. GomTV which was the first to reveal the MVs also spoke up, “Newsinger group 2NE1 gets more than 1 million views for their MVs in just less than a day. This is wonderful results beyond expectations.”
- YG Entertainment also provided, “YG Homepage plus internet community Bestiz also got overwhelming responses for the MV receiving more than 2 million views. Such overwhelming response is beyond what we have imagined.”
- Netizens’ responses to the new group is also positive, “It is good that we get to see a girlgroup that is different from what we normally get”.
