Sho Sakurai helps bring politics to youths
Tue, July 10, 2007 (5:00am EDT)

Arashi member Sho Sakurai has been chosen to help host NTV's "ZERO x Senkyo 2007," a special program airing on the 29th regarding the upcoming House of Councillors elections. This is the first time a pop idol will host such a program.
Sakurai already serves as a Monday caster on the network's "NEWS ZERO" program, which airs on weeknights. This made him a perfect choice for a host in the eyes of the producers, who are hoping to reach out to politically apathetic youngsters.
The program is scheduled to air from 7:58pm to 2:00am. Although Sakurai will appear during the first half with the other hosts (including Shinsuke Shimada and Mao Kobayashi), his primary role will be to serve as the debate presenter during the program's second half (starting around 11:45).

Oricon: eternal love and celebrity couples
Wed, July 11, 2007 (4:35am EDT)
In honor of Tanabata, which is based on the story of Orihime and Hikoboshi, Oricon surveyed 2,000 people, asking which married celebrity couple seems to have sworn eternal love.

The #1 answer was Norika Fujiwara and Tomonori Jinnai, the most publicized marriage in quite some time. The two received more than a fourth of the votes, easily beating out the competition.
Mika Mifune and George Takahashi, who have now been married for 9 years, ranked second. While that choice isn't too surprising, third place is a bit of a shock: newlywed couple Nozomi Tsuji and Taiyo Sugiura. Despite the scandal surrounding their marriage, the public has apparently gotten the impression that theirs is a case of true love.
Eternal love and celebrity couples:
1) Norika Fujiwara & Tomonori Jinnai
2) Mika Mifune & George Takahashi
3) Nozomi Tsuji & Taiyo Sugiura
4) Otoha & Takashi Fujii
5) Nanako Matsushima & Takashi Sorimachi
6) Shizuka Kudo & Takuya Kimura
7) Momoe Yamaguchi & Tomokazu Miura
8) Jaguar Yokota & Hirokatsu Kino#a
9) Chisato Moritaka & Yousuke Eguchi
10) Aoi Miyazaki & Sousuke Takaoka
