Singapore, Brunei to hold annual joint concert on Friday

SINGAPORE : The annual joint concert between MediaCorp TV12's Suria channel & Radio Televisyen Brunei (RTB) will be held this Friday.
This year's show is called "Rapsodi 2007- Remix".
It is one of five annual co-productions under a Memorandum of Understanding in the field of broadcasting which was signed by both sides.
The concert will be attended by Information, Communications and the Arts Minister, Dr Lee Boon Yang, and Brunei's Energy Minister, Yahya Abu Bakar.
This is the 16th year the concert has been organised.
It showcases talents from both Singapore and Brunei.
MediaCorp TV12 said the concert also promotes good relations between the two countries.
This year's concert will be jointly hosted by local comedian Suhaimi Yusof and Bruneian host Siti Fauziyah.
The line-up from Singapore includes performances from Anugerah 2007's top two winners Aliff Aziz and Maiya Rahman.
The show will also feature Singapore Idol 2 winner Hady Mirza and local band Cradle.
"Rapsodi 2007- Remix" will be telecast 'live' on 7 December at 8.30pm from the MediaCorp TV Theatre on Suria channel and RTB2. - CNA/ms |
